I've had that happen with books before. I had the game on pause to sell off certain books from a Sim's inventory, but the books I sold were reappearing on the floor.
Oh drat...I don't play while online cause it uses too much of my monthly bandwidth. That means other than a moodlet, my Sims won't get anything, unless I let them throw a gift giving party I guess.  And since they got married before I installed Seasons, I wonder if they'll even get the moodlet :?:
Hmmmm...my married Sims get letters but they're more like "letters of interest" and they are really just notes attached to gifts. I don't mind getting random gifts all the time..I think it makes it more interesting than just getting bills. For some reason, he got a Blingaboo in the mail too. No idea why that happened.
I really think lamps are kind of the fallback gift...my sim did get a lamp once, but since then, she gets artistic gifts... usually from her actual friends and old friends...others who don't know her as well seem to bring random stuff like that lamp, but it was the rainbow lamp so it was all good.
It looks pretty cool to set your ice lounge furniture around your pool in the wintertime. Makes everything appear frozen, but still usable. Enjoy :!: :!:
I made my world the way I always pictured it...tall buildings in the center, like an inner city, then smaller shops as you go out and finally some really out of town type stuff like the horse training facilities and junkyards. Then small, easy to manage neighborhoods. I ended up with 77 community lots and have so much to…
I always try to have my hosting Sims at least greet their guests..if there's time it's good to try to tell a joke... I always have them mingle at their parties and the only negative thing I've had happen was several guests mailed gifts to my hostess Sim a few days later with attached notes... I must say, I don't think she…
Do they have stuff to do? I mean, are you locking up the bookshelves and storing the TV? My Sims use to yawn and leave too, but then I learned to lock up all the stuff I didn't want them to do and just really prepare before a party. Call them to eat... bring them a drink... tell some jokes... make sure your Sim mingles and…
ughhhhh..Jeepers Creepers guy! That would make me play Sims with the lights on. Sorry, cannot help with the saving issue..I always just try to save again when I see that.
On my daughter's screen, who is playing next to me, her whole screen lights up and then you see where it struck on the ground..she said it made her Sims house shake. I haven't had that bad of a storm yet.. she gets some really bad ones! Edit: One nice thing about storms..the lightening can strike the paparrazi who don't…
My very artistic Sim gets art easels and my chess champion Sim gets (what do you think) that's right..chess sets!!!   I think the game's giving our Simmy's what they are most likely to use.
Your house may be glitched...for some reason certain houses just won't let you throw a gift giving party no matter what you do. I finally had to move my family into a new house and it worked perfectly. Try your Christmas lights...if they're glitched too, you most likely need a new house. You can read how I fixed the same…
I know exactly what you mean...that gift giving was a tough one for me to get set up correctly for my Sims to enjoy, but it's working beautifully now. Edit: I never understand why everyone thinks you need to wait until winter to use that party...I use it for babyshowers and birthday parties and job promotions. Endless…
There's Valentine's clothes for free and some St. Patrick's stuff for free... I have a bunch of Halloween and Thanksgiving type stuff...don't remember where I got it, but I can assure you it was free wherever it came from. It's my understanding that EA will be putting the Christmas deco stuff back up in December..just…
I love the warmth of their houses now with the snow outside and a fire inside...guests gathering for gift giving parties... the sounds of the rain and clashing thunder..makes their houses shake sometimes... OP is right..this is a fantastic EP. I've loved every minute of my game play~~well after I worked out all my little…
He will be able to make it when he hits level 5 if you do that and have one pumpkin in the fridge. Edit: I always forget something! It takes a pumpkin and an egg, so without the egg it'll cost $11.
I've been reading that in order to make pumpkin pie, your cook has to be at level five. My Sim was at level 4 and the option didn't come up either..so I had her make pancakes and brought her up to lvl 5...then she had to put one pumpkin into the fridge..then the option came up and she made a beautiful pie. Good luck. Edit:…
