Today my sim married Caleb Vatore, got herself pregnant and has now trapped Caleb in a fenced pen outside to burn to death - first husband on her way to the Black Widow award. Fingers crossed! Hoping this sim can have multiple kids from multiple different husbands. Oh, and at her and Caleb's wedding, I forgot about vamps + outdoors being bad, so Count Vlad burnt to a crisp. Whoops!
@Metior_Ice I made a ginormous mistake recently. I didn't write up and post an Erik story (three Erik saves ago). I was keeping track of his Accolades, since with some timely help from other players I had a mod in place to assist the licensing to happen more frequently. And finally, after all of these years he was winning for his music. This was a big deal to me. I made certain he wore a different suit each Show, so I could tell them apart. I knew he had won more times than I had shared and in my quest to discover if I had personally gone mad, or what happened, I started two lists. One of the nominated songs (of which I highlighted if he won) and using pictures, noting which suit he was wearing, I noted what color and type of suit he wore. This helped me to cross-match the win with the pictures of wins I had. The highlighted song wins didn't match the pictures of wins I had. (All of the time in the back of my head I knew he had won more.) Hm. I searched and searched until finally, I stumbled across a file of screenshots on my desktop labeled Starlight Accolades. (D'Oh.)There were the two missing suits! I quickly wrote up episodes to fit the situation, which put them way out of the timeline. This was on the Non-Serial thread. I ended up moving that whole story to the Creative Corner, with the added chapters in their proper places.
In my determination to not goof up again, by letting too much time elapse, I do post while the story is still fresh in my mind. In fact, sometimes I begin writing it all up just after I have played that day, so as not to forget what happened. (Gotta jump when inspiration strikes.) I do try to limit it to three to four pages, or I'll make another chapter if it runs a tad long, which in my zeal I will often post on the same day. My bad. I do hope no one objects.
The whole point of my very long-winded post is to say, post when you have a story to share. Don't worry about how long it might be in between posts. I'm uncertain if there are any specific 'rules' to this thread, you would have to go to the front of the thread and see if there are some. I didn't know they had rules for the Non-Serial version. That's why I ended up moving my story, not that they made me do it, but I felt I should, in the end. Now, I'm just summarizing what happened over there, instead. Rarely with a picture.
I made a big goof to @GalacticGal I accidently deleted my file that had all my Sim Pics in it and now I have to start over to catch my story up. I am having problems working on DJ Candy, Remy's kid and the next MySim Generation though, he has creative for his aspiration as a kid and I cant get past this one step where he has to play with three toys. I tried the doll house, toys in the toybox, the doctor doll, clay, and nothing works. Anyone have a suggestion or has anyone had this problem. @Metior_Ice I say post in what ever way you feel like posting when the inspiration strikes, I really like when You highlight one character and tell the story of their background and the legends/lore about merfolk.
@spend4zen, I always get that aspiration by just having them play with toys in the toybox. It's just that not 'all' of the toys that can go into a toybox actually work for it...which is weird, but most of them do. You have to let the play interaction run for the toys as well, not start it and then cancel it early. Credit is given when the interaction finishes.
The way I get it is 'open' the toybox and just queue a play interaction with several different toys, filling the kid's queue. They've always got the goal marked as complete once they finish.
Well, I did/ tried that Finding Love After A Break Up twice..
First time took the easy route... Idk.. Just did. Then tried the rocky road... Seems Friendly and Romantic just Belly flop, had to go all out with ‘Funny’ in the end to get a good the social from red to green and was able to improve stuff from that— thankfully. It’s not labeled as hard but it’s way more challenging than Unlucky Chef, no sneaky ways around it or short cuts— that I see. And if both sims as a ‘hate’ had comedy, I think it would have been impossible... I honestly do...
But fixed a broken romance in the end lol.

My username has been my internet handle for over 20 years since I was 16 and refers to when I had a crush on a very tall boy. I intend absolutely no violence toward beautiful giraffes.
Now here's Iggy's competition for the role of Golden Child, or perhaps Anti-Golden Child... Max got into all the Foxbury degrees, including the Villainy degree that he was hoping for.
Unexpectedly, he also got into Drama at Britechester. Though maybe we should have expected that... Max? Drama?

Off to Foxbury it is. Max is very happy to be in the same program with Lilith. He hopes one day to impress her as much as she impresses him.
But he's not quite a young adult yet, so he still has to stick around for these annoying neighborly visits
It's so odd. Megumi and Naoki know that Eliza tried to break up their marriage, just for the fun of it, via a forged breakup letter. Their relationship with Eliza is way in the red. And yet they still answer the door. Does anyone in this game ever say, "no, you can't come in" when you knock?
Anyhow, the Villareals know their script. Eliza's turn for enthusiastic socializing, Max's turn for nonchalant you-know-what, later they'll switch.

I am curently playing an old abandoned 100 babies save that I abandoned long ago after 10 or so babies because of all the toddler bugs at the time. I only owned Get together, City Living and Cats and Dogs at the time (plus Outdoor escape) - I also didn't ever build then just downloaded from the gallery. So its fun to renovate the house and see all the new sims and activities in game. And because I actually finished the 100 babies save in a different game (Quin & Rohan - Quin was 3rd matriarch and finished that challenge before getting together with Rohan) and in that save I formally followed all the rules - so in this one I am trying a few variations. Like swapping out matriarchs every 20 babies born.
My current matriarch is Pearl Peregrine - she is granddaughter of Gavin Richards. She is matriarch number 2.
She has the self care specialist wellness aspiration. Her mother Harmony became filthy rich gardening (and we didn't even have any expensive plants except blackberries) and maxing out the artist aspiration. So I thought we would try an occupation where I could learn and it doesn't matter if Pearl loses money in the end.
Wellness is a great way to meet men.... hello to Paolo Rocca's son...Deangelo

He also was happy to pose for as many photos as possible and invited in random fans.
What will work on Thorne?
Introducing Jerome Munch (son of Gunther and Eva from Partihaus) - he was the 2nd baby daddy for Pearl. He was one of those sims whose green and pink bars shot up almost immediately.He is convinced he and Pearl and the leads in a romcom and doesn't see how Pearl actually is.
Pearl should give him his marching orders but a. I think he is adorable and like him coming around (and she needs a steady customer for her wellness aspiration) plus b. he adores his child. I can't make him leave....
Jerome marched into the house, totally oblivious to all the drama being caused by Thorne and planted a giant kiss on Pearl.
The one thing Thorne can't stand is not getting attention and being left out. He was desperate to push into Jerome and Pearl's conversation and in no time at all - full social interactions were unlocked...oh Jerome - you look so proud - you poor innocent fool.
Things started to heat up as Thorne immediately got very flirty at the thought of stealing someone's girlfriend, and Deangelo (the current baby's daddy) showed up (also very flirty) wanting to have a second "visit" with Pearl. So she grabbed Thorne and went to Magnolia crescent.

@Becka28 Good luck with Thorne. In my game he quit his Serious Musician career to become a Stay-At-Home-Dad. This all due to NS. I've never controlled him. I was shocked to learn he had quit his job! He does crave attention. But, it seems to me he's rather tight with Octavia Moon.
Vulcan Tradition was very different from the Human way of things. Having lived for so long on the Red Planet, Joseph Cantrell understood this. Which is why he also went before the High Council in protest when his daughter’s mind was touched by one of the Moderators during her Test. The Test, for Vulcan’s was a rite of passage and he was assured his daughter wouldn't encounter another mind except for steering her onto a different path, to keep her safe from the unscrupulous, or Evil. Yet, not only had her mind been touched, the encounter was ruled a MindMeld.
This left Joseph very angry. He knew, first hand, that in the course of a Mindmeld, the two were interlocked. This was part of the Culture of Vulcan. Part of the Marriage. The two truly became One. This allowed for the intimacy they must hide from society. Emotions weren’t allowed in their Culture, not openly, as they once nearly destroyed their own race due to uncontrolled emotion. And so they accepted the Way, Surak showed them. This required rigorous training. When it was discovered Brianna had unusual mind-powers, her Nanny, a Vulcan female, sought and was granted permission to begin teaching the eighteen-month-old in the Way. Which ultimately brought her to the K’Matra. The Test.
Court was held on Vulcan, and Joseph’s pleas were regarded as valid. The Council sought restitution by having the errant Moderator seek the human female’s hand in marriage. The Council agreed she would need a ‘handler’ to help keep her mind from touching others inadvertently. Joseph fought against the Match, as his daughter was far too young to be forced into a loveless marriage. Yet, he only discovered, too late, that love was also a part of the equation. He accepted the delivery of the official Decree handed down by the Council, once the Moderator returned to himself. Before she headed off to University, Joseph had a father-to-daughter talk, handing her the scroll.
She held the fine parchment Decree sealed by red wax embedded with the emblem, an image of a Sehlet, denoting the House of Talek Sen Dene, of which the High Councilor was also the Matriarch. Playing with an edge of the seal, she wanted badly to read it. Alone.
“You have an ‘out’, if you wish to employ it,” Joseph said quietly. “But there are intricacies involved. For instance, he doesn’t have that luxury. He must restore his family’s honor. He must at least offer marriage. If you agree to the match, simply serve him tea, which he must drink to show his approval. He has no choice in the matter. However, if you do not approve of this Arranged Marriage, you need only never serve him tea. I shall leave it up to you. You have always been sensible.”
Brianna thought long and hard on the situation. In the privacy of her bedroom, she poured over the scroll, reading every single detail. Deep in her heart while she loved him, was it right of her to trap him? Yet, every time their minds reached out to each other, linking together, she also felt her feelings were reciprocated. Having been summoned to the Vulcan Embassy by Ambassador Sarek of the House of Talek Sen Dene, a friend from their days on Vulcan, Brianna was formally introduced to Commander Spock. And she knew.
Erik and Kayleigh had settled on a date. Not long after the nuptials took place, they would all be going off to Uni. Brianna thought it unfair of her to keep Commander Spock dangling. Inviting him over to her father’s house, she brewed the Dragon Tea and made herself ready for her guest. Punctual, as she knew he would be. “Mr., Spock, so nice to see you again, won’t you come in?”
“Thank you. Contrary to popular belief, my first name is not Mister. Call me Spock.”
“Thank you. May I offer you some tea?”
“Only, if you’re quite certain. This would mean you accept the situation and are willing to go forward.”
“Yes, my father filled me in. If I may be so bold, I have always loved you.”
“Indeed?"
“Yes, I felt it when you died. I followed you to the Light. I would have joined you in the tunnel, but that Entity blocked my path. He told me “It’s not your time. I was in such pain. Then after a time, I knew you were alive. But I couldn’t find you. Couldn’t reach you. I have suffered so. The resulting void was nearly unbearable.”
“Neither was it my time. So, here I am. Alive … and alone. I have also experienced … the Void. I would be most gratified to accept tea from you, Brianna-kam. As a first step toward repairing what was broken.”
Taking a seat at the dining room table, Spock drank the cup of tea, declaring, “It is done!”
“I’m just so excited I am uncertain of what to do,” Spock said. “I’m not used to this onslaught.”
“I know what to do, if you would permit me,” Brianna said.
“A kiss on the cheek, while quite nice, is lacking something. Allow me,” he said.
“I’m so happy to have you back.”
“Yes, it is most agreeable.”
While Spock and Brianna got their relationship to each other sorted out, Erik and Kayleigh were busy planning their wedding. “This is almost more exhausting than my concert circuit,” Erik said, as the two sat in a booth at Millie’s Café. “There’s the flowers, the cake, the venue, the ‘theme’, the color or colors to decide upon. I think I’m worn out just talking about it.”
“Yes, but it’s a happy exhaustion. You are happy, right?”
“I couldn’t be more happy. I love you so much. This is going to be great.”
From Millie’s Café, the went off to their priest’s house. “Father James,” Erik greeted. “We have come to ask if your son, Max, would be willing to be part of our Bridal party. We need a Ring Bearer. I would ask my youngest brother, but he’s way too tall.”
“Certainly, and we are honored by your request.”
“Max, my little buddy. How would you like to be our Ring Bearer,” Erik said.
“Sure, that would be great!”
“Okay, now off to order the bouquets and taste some cake,” Erik said, as they climbed into the Hovercraft.
After they purchased the bouquets and ordered the rest of the flowers, they found the bakery. Erik ordered two slices of cake for them to sample.
“Oh, I really love this one, what did you think of it?”
“I think it’s the one.”
“I hate to cut this time short, but I have a concert and a photoshoot,” Erik said.
“Erik, I just realized I didn’t ask my sisters to be my bridesmaids!”
“Don’t panic, just invite them over to the house and then you can ask them.”
Erik went off and Kayleigh invited her four sisters to hang-out at the Cantrell House with her. Regina and Mercedes arrived together. “Where’s Hayleigh and Lorelei?”
“They’ll be along. Be aware, Hayleigh in is a mood.” Mercedes warned.
“Nothing new,” Regina said. “She’s always in a mood. In fact, I think she was born in a mood.” Regina looked thoughtful.
“Mom always said she was colicky,” Kayleigh offered. “I hope she’s okay. She does love Erik so. And she did meet him first.”
“Don’t do it,” Regina warned. “You’ve got a big heart, Kayleigh, but don’t you dare give into her. Erik loves you, not her, despite her fantasy. Breaking it off with him, may appease Hayleigh, but I'm certain he won't be taking her in your place. You'll just be making yourself miserable.”
"And Erik, " Mercedes agreed.
“I’m not giving Erik up, don’t fret. In fact, I asked you over here so that I might invite each of you to be my Sims of Honor.”
“For real?
“Oh, yes. Yes!”
“Regina?”
“I’m delighted and overwhelmed. Yes.”
At that moment, Hayleigh came stomping into the foyer. “Don’t you even expect to see me at family dinners,” she grumbled, loudly. "I won't be there! I've had it with you, Kayleigh, boyfriend thief! I'll make you rue the day."
“Where’s Lorelei?”
“Out. On. The. Porch.”
Kayleigh immediately went outside. “Lorelei, you’re more than welcome to come in.”
“Don’t want to.”
“Hey, are you mad at me?”
“I knew you were going off to uni-uni- some city, —”
“University.”
“But that’s in the Fall. So, why did you leave now?”
“Oh, honey, the wedding is just a little over a week away. Erik and I have so much to do and we just thought, since we’ll be staying here for a short time after our honeymoon, I might as well live here, now. Don’t be sad. I have a very special question to ask you.”
“What?”
“Would you be my Flower Pal?”
“You mean in the wedding?”
“Yes, you can get all dressed up in a fancy dress, pretty shoes and sprinkle flowers down the aisle before I walk down.”
“Yes, I would like that,” Lorelei said. “That might make it a little better.”
“Ah, good. I would like that, too.”

Thank you so very much. Leonard Nimoy's Spock is the only one I have ever cared about. I tried to like the new guy, but he portrays the character in such a different manner, the original character has been lost. Sadness. Nimoy had the whole half-human/half-Vulcan angst down to a T. He was the BEST Method Actor I ever witnessed. You may have guessed that some of their backstory comes from my Mini-series in my Siggie. I created the Cantrell family to help develop my O/C for the fanfiction. I used to concentrate on Spock and Brianna in my earlier Sims portrayals. But Erik is Brianna's favorite brother of the four and it's now his time to shine. LOL Pardon the pun.
I'm drawing so close to their Big Day, it's hard to think I may not even have time to play. I know there are at least four days next week where playing the game won't happen. I may be able to squeeze in some time during a few days following that, but then at least four more days in which playing the game won't be possible. Then, we'll be saying goodbye to a couple we've known for years who are moving back east. Sadness. I just hope I don't get juiced. LOL

Today got twins... Well, aged them up immediately due to wanting 3 toddlers for one of those Scenario challenges that requires us to have at least 3 toddlers. Too Many Toddlers
Of course my male Sims energy when Dina gave birth was dark red low so, I chose to use Dina to age up both the mere Twins (with Game Suggested Names: Desiree & Jena; I had no ideas myself..) I got.
But then had to reset her BOTH times cause she kept pulling this glitch nonsense where no matter the open space she would NOT put the kid down a popped up that icon like she couldn’t travel and put down the toddler there.... NOT “loving” that Dina Sim right now...

and poor Iggy who is just a normal kid and got stuck in the middle of his mom's crazy.
Max settled into his dorm at Foxbury. He was quick on the uptake and snagged the nicest room on campus.
He's taking a full course load, mostly Villainy, but one elective in Handiness, to keep from electrocuting himself while working on robotics. He also joined the Bot Savants. And he's spending time with his favorite other Villainy student as often as he can.
(Yes, they're watching the werewolf movie.)
When does Max sleep, you ask? He doesn't. He hops over to the Magic Realm to make Potions of Plentiful Needs whenever necessary, and he has an apple tree out front.
In this dorm there are only three roommates. One is Lillie, who cries in her bed all the time. One is Chris, who flirts with everyone all the time. And the third has that quirk where they invite themselves along whenever you go anywhere.
The first time was while Eliza was still dropping him off and checking out the campus.
"Saw you heading out, so what are we doing?"
Max has an answer for that.
Eliza: "You cannot just DO that in front of people!!"
Angela: [no reaction] "Time for my shift serving lunch..."
Max: "See, no one cares. I'll set annoying people on fire as often as I like."
Some people are slow learners.
"Saw you heading out, so what are we doing?"
"Again?"
Eventually he stopped coming along.
It is stupidly easy to steal the roommates' belongings. No Swiping necessary, you just put them in your inventory, and then sell them. Or keep them for your own use, if they happen to be robotics components.
Max likes it when Eliza visits. Gives him a chance to develop his spellcaster prowess, for one. It is totally normal to have a magical duel in the dining hall.

The Romance festival came. Max asked Lilith to go with him. "So we can, uh, totally prank all the fools who are trying to impress their dates there" he said. He hoped he sounded convincing.
Of course he tried to impress Lilith, with a prank. "That Romance Guru guy looks like such a bozo. Hey, watch this--"
But it backfired
Max got pretty scorched.

Arihi's late husband Vivaan was always joker. In a note from Vivaan to her, he gives Arihi his last challenge: To marry for money! He has some inheritance money he want's her and his two toddler sons to have. She giggles at this and decides to accept his last challenge.
She tells her neighbour and new friend Max Ramsay about her challenge from Vivaan. Rumour has it that Max has developed feelings for Arihi as they've spent time together helping her with the kids. She tells Max about Vivaan's latest scheme from beyond the grave and Max jumps at the chance of making her the next "Mrs. Ramsay" after his last wife Maria got killed after falling from Mt Komorebi.
The following is game actual gameplay.
Arihi asks Max out on a date and he says yes. On the date, Arihi requests a table and Max goes straight to the bar. Arihi orders for her and Max and when the meal arrives Max takes his meal from their table and continues to eat it at the bar and stays there the entire meal completely ignoring Arihi! Arihi is annoyed with Max and she leaves the restaurant.
Arihi finds another potential candidate for Vivaan's scheme in the form of Coleman Minor who is also a colleague of Arihi's. She has a better time with Coleman than Max and they're autonomously flirting without my help.
Arihi explains her to motives to Coleman and eventually Arihi pops the question to Coleman and he says yes!
Coleman and Arihi then get married right on the spot!
Successfully marrying Coleman, Arihi is given her inheritence from Vivaan and he moves in with her and her kids.
Max learns about Arihi's wedding and promises to his sister Madge that he is going to fight for Arihi.

Today got twins... Well, aged them up immediately due to wanting 3 toddlers for one of those Scenario challenges that requires us to have at least 3 toddlers. Too Many Toddlers
Of course my male Sims energy when Dina gave birth was dark red low so, I chose to use Dina to age up both the mere Twins (with Game Suggested Names: Desiree & Jena; I had no ideas myself..) I got.
But then had to reset her BOTH times cause she kept pulling this glitch nonsense where no matter the open space she would NOT put the kid down a popped up that icon like she couldn’t travel and put down the toddler there.... NOT “loving” that Dina Sim right now...

My Golden Triplets were manufacture by me in CAS. However, in two game saves previous to this one, Aaron and Sandi (when I gave the triplets different names from the first time I created them) had triplets. That threw me for a loop. They were the very first actual triplets that game gave me. So unexpected, too. Hang in there.
Early summer was already a scorcher. Almost as if the season had to make up for lost time. Spring was mostly cold with smatterings of rain, or late snow upon occasion. Today, it was sweltering, adding to the Pre-wedding tensions. Erik decided the best way to cope would be holding an old-fashioned water balloon fight. He had an hour or so before he had to give a concert, why not?
He knew Kayleigh could use a bit of fun. She still wasn’t over Hayleigh’s rant. So much so that the words inviting her to be an Honor Sim at the wedding, never escaped her lips. She just couldn’t bring herself to do it. Erik held her while she wept, bitterly.
“Hey, water-balloon fight in the backyard!” he shouted, leading the way out of the Keeping Room door to the back.
Erik was glad to see his mother join in. He had caught her more than a few times lately having a rather animated conversation with the clothes tree in the hall. And, sometimes, he even saw her chatting with the Scarecrow in the garage/greenhouse. Did the scarecrow just nod it’s head? Joseph had assured his children that their mother’s Erratic behavior wasn’t hereditary. She merely struggled when it came to dealing with Stress.
Quickly, the teams formed out on the lush green grass out in the backyard.
Shortly after they got started, Brianna excused herself and went inside. She had all but forgotten she volunteered to make the dessert for tonight. When Erik passed the kitchen on his way out, he saw she was hard at work.
He watched for a very short time as she piped on the decorations.
“You had better go before you’re late,” Brianna warned.
“Am I making you nervous?”
“Maybe.”
Come six o’clock, the families converged at the Orchid-A Go-Go Lounge. Looking around at the set-up, Erik was pleased. The management had, rather, skillfully transformed the couples’ wishes into a reality. The two greeted their guests as they arrived. “Thank you for coming,” Kayleigh said.
“This looks great,” Erik said.
“I know, they did a fabulous job,” Kayleigh agreed.
Once everyone had arrived, Erik called for Toasts to be given. Asking if Captain Drake would go first, the military officer went to the bowl of juice.
After a moment’s struggle getting the cork off the bottle, with a loud resounding thwack, pouring a glass, he raised it and began, “I am very pleased to announce the engagement of my third daughter, Kayleigh to Erik Cantrell. Third daughter because she was born last of the three. Identical triplets. She was so tiny, so beautiful. So fragile-looking of the three —“ here he paused, blinking back the tears. “I’m very happy she has found Erik. A fine young Sim, who is definitely going places. Have you heard his latest album? It’s fabulous. Welcome to our family, son,” he said. “Oh, hey, I’m finally getting a son!”
Father James Tomlin was next. “I’ve only known the Cantrell family since they arrived in my parish just over one year ago. As you know Joseph Cantrell stepped in as our Choir Director at St. James church. I met the Golden family not too long afterwards. Captain Drake is stationed here for a time. Erik and Kayleigh met and as it happens, fell in love. I have been giving them the premarital counseling required. I can tell you as I have gotten to know them, just how right, and how ready these two are for marriage. They may be young, but they are so mature. I wish you both a long and happy life together. Many Years!”
“To my lovely Bride, to our families, I thank you for being here tonight, to share our joy.” Erik said.
Erik gazed about the room. At one point he even took out his cell phone and made a very short video of the event for his Simstagram account. He was very happy and he just wanted to share with the Sims who had helped him get to where he was.
He noted that Carina and Mercedes arrived a bit late. Hm, habitual?
Delighted as he looked around, the families were mingling as he hoped they would, getting to know each other. They were soon to be one big family.
Good company. Good food.
Lorelei was enjoying the banquet.
Brianna’s cake was remarkable.
Dancing took place near the old-time Jukebox. Erik walked over there to find Kayleigh sitting alone in the corner. Knitting. “Kayleigh? Is everything all right? Honey, what’s wrong?”
“She isn’t here. She said not to expect her at any family dinner. All a part of her rant. I guess she meant this one. Our Engagement Dinner. Oh, Erik, I didn’t mean to take you from her. I promise I didn’t.”
“Kayleigh, now you listen to me. You didn’t take me from her. We were just friends. That’s all we’ve ever been. Had it been otherwise, I wouldn’t have given you a second glance. I always had this sense that she was close but not the One. When I met you I understood the obscurity of the sensation I was having. You are the one. I never once expected twins, let alone triplets. No more tears, we did nothing wrong.”
“But, I didn’t ask her to be a bridesmaid. I wanted to, I tried, but she was in such a snit when she arrived. I just couldn’t. I came very close to kicking her out of our wedding. I don’t want one of her moods to spoil our day. Now, she’s left out altogether. To top it off I’m short a bridesmaid. I don’t know what to do.”
“We’ll figure something out. I promise.”
As things were winding down for the evening, the couple sat with Father James, seeking his wisdom in the matter. “I know you very much want all of your sisters to take part in your day. But I have to say, Hayleigh is a big girl. Seems to me she’s made her choice. I’ll see if she will talk with me on Sunday.”
“Thank you, Father.”
After a time, the Paparazzi managed to get inside, despite, the Private Party sign. Inevitable.
All-in-all with the exception of the missing triplet, the families had a great time. Erik pondered the possibility that Hayleigh, in her spite, would truly wreck the wedding, as she almost derailed their Engagement Dinner. He certainly hoped not.

I have been away from the forums for a while, but came back. I've started a new Simlit and am now setting up scenes in my drafts. The story follows the four Sims in my signature; 2 guys and 2 girls. In my determination to not goof up again, by letting too much time elapse, I do post while the story is still fresh in my mind. In fact, sometimes I begin writing it all up just after I have played that day, so as not to forget what happened. (Gotta jump when inspiration strikes.) I do try to limit it to three to four pages, or I'll make another chapter if it runs a tad long, which in my zeal I will often post on the same day. My bad. I do hope no one objects.
The whole point of my very long-winded post is to say, post when you have a story to share. Don't worry about how long it might be in between posts. I'm uncertain if there are any specific 'rules' to this thread, you would have to go to the front of the thread and see if there are some. I didn't know they had rules for the Non-Serial version. That's why I ended up moving my story, not that they made me do it, but I felt I should, in the end. Now, I'm just summarizing what happened over there, instead. Rarely with a picture.

@Metior_Ice I say post in what ever way you feel like posting when the inspiration strikes, I really like when You highlight one character and tell the story of their background and the legends/lore about merfolk.
The way I get it is 'open' the toybox and just queue a play interaction with several different toys, filling the kid's queue. They've always got the goal marked as complete once they finish.

Seems Friendly and Romantic just Belly flop, had to go all out with ‘Funny’ in the end to get a good the social from red to green and was able to improve stuff from that— thankfully. It’s not labeled as hard but it’s way more challenging than Unlucky Chef, no sneaky ways around it or short cuts— that I see. And if both sims as a ‘hate’ had comedy, I think it would have been impossible... I honestly do...
But fixed a broken romance in the end lol.

It's so odd. Megumi and Naoki know that Eliza tried to break up their marriage, just for the fun of it, via a forged breakup letter. Their relationship with Eliza is way in the red. And yet they still answer the door. Does anyone in this game ever say, "no, you can't come in" when you knock?
Anyhow, the Villareals know their script. Eliza's turn for enthusiastic socializing, Max's turn for nonchalant you-know-what, later they'll switch.

I am curently playing an old abandoned 100 babies save that I abandoned long ago after 10 or so babies because of all the toddler bugs at the time. I only owned Get together, City Living and Cats and Dogs at the time (plus Outdoor escape) - I also didn't ever build then just downloaded from the gallery. So its fun to renovate the house and see all the new sims and activities in game. And because I actually finished the 100 babies save in a different game (Quin & Rohan - Quin was 3rd matriarch and finished that challenge before getting together with Rohan) and in that save I formally followed all the rules - so in this one I am trying a few variations. Like swapping out matriarchs every 20 babies born.
My current matriarch is Pearl Peregrine - she is granddaughter of Gavin Richards. She is matriarch number 2.
She has the self care specialist wellness aspiration. Her mother Harmony became filthy rich gardening (and we didn't even have any expensive plants except blackberries) and maxing out the artist aspiration. So I thought we would try an occupation where I could learn and it doesn't matter if Pearl loses money in the end.

Vulcan Tradition was very different from the Human way of things. Having lived for so long on the Red Planet, Joseph Cantrell understood this. Which is why he also went before the High Council in protest when his daughter’s mind was touched by one of the Moderators during her Test. The Test, for Vulcan’s was a rite of passage and he was assured his daughter wouldn't encounter another mind except for steering her onto a different path, to keep her safe from the unscrupulous, or Evil. Yet, not only had her mind been touched, the encounter was ruled a MindMeld.
Court was held on Vulcan, and Joseph’s pleas were regarded as valid. The Council sought restitution by having the errant Moderator seek the human female’s hand in marriage. The Council agreed she would need a ‘handler’ to help keep her mind from touching others inadvertently. Joseph fought against the Match, as his daughter was far too young to be forced into a loveless marriage. Yet, he only discovered, too late, that love was also a part of the equation. He accepted the delivery of the official Decree handed down by the Council, once the Moderator returned to himself. Before she headed off to University, Joseph had a father-to-daughter talk, handing her the scroll.
“You have an ‘out’, if you wish to employ it,” Joseph said quietly. “But there are intricacies involved. For instance, he doesn’t have that luxury. He must restore his family’s honor. He must at least offer marriage. If you agree to the match, simply serve him tea, which he must drink to show his approval. He has no choice in the matter. From Millie’s Café, the went off to their priest’s house. “Father James,” Erik greeted. “We have come to ask if your son, Max, would be willing to be part of our Bridal party. We need a Ring Bearer. I would ask my youngest brother, but he’s way too tall.”
“Certainly, and we are honored by your request.”
“Max, my little buddy. How would you like to be our Ring Bearer,” Erik said.
“Sure, that would be great!”
“Okay, now off to order the bouquets and taste some cake,” Erik said, as they climbed into the Hovercraft.

“I think it’s the one.”
“I hate to cut this time short, but I have a concert and a photoshoot,” Erik said.
“Erik, I just realized I didn’t ask my sisters to be my bridesmaids!”

Thank you so very much. Leonard Nimoy's Spock is the only one I have ever cared about. I tried to like the new guy, but he portrays the character in such a different manner, the original character has been lost. Sadness. Nimoy had the whole half-human/half-Vulcan angst down to a T. He was the BEST Method Actor I ever witnessed. You may have guessed that some of their backstory comes from my Mini-series in my Siggie.
I'm drawing so close to their Big Day, it's hard to think I may not even have time to play. I know there are at least four days next week where playing the game won't happen. I may be able to squeeze in some time during a few days following that, but then at least four more days in which playing the game won't be possible. Then, we'll be saying goodbye to a couple we've known for years who are moving back east. Sadness. I just hope I don't get juiced. LOL

Today got twins... Well, aged them up immediately due to wanting 3 toddlers for one of those Scenario challenges that requires us to have at least 3 toddlers. Too Many Toddlers
Of course my male Sims energy when Dina gave birth was dark red low so, I chose to use Dina to age up both the mere Twins (with Game Suggested Names: Desiree & Jena; I had no ideas myself..) I got.
But then had to reset her BOTH times cause she kept pulling this glitch nonsense where no matter the open space she would NOT put the kid down a popped up that icon like she couldn’t travel and put down the toddler there.... NOT “loving” that Dina Sim right now...
and poor Iggy who is just a normal kid and got stuck in the middle of his mom's crazy.

He's taking a full course load, mostly Villainy, but one elective in Handiness, to keep from electrocuting himself while working on robotics. He also joined the Bot Savants. And he's spending time with his favorite other Villainy student as often as he can.
(Yes, they're watching the werewolf movie.)
When does Max sleep, you ask? He doesn't. He hops over to the Magic Realm to make Potions of Plentiful Needs whenever necessary, and he has an apple tree out front.
In this dorm there are only three roommates. One is Lillie, who cries in her bed all the time. One is Chris, who flirts with everyone all the time. And the third has that quirk where they invite themselves along whenever you go anywhere.
The first time was while Eliza was still dropping him off and checking out the campus.
"Saw you heading out, so what are we doing?"
Max has an answer for that.
"Ooh, inferniating, what's that--"
Eliza: "You cannot just DO that in front of people!!"
Angela: [no reaction] "Time for my shift serving lunch..."
Max: "See, no one cares. I'll set annoying people on fire as often as I like."
Some people are slow learners.
"Saw you heading out, so what are we doing?"
"Again?"
Eventually he stopped coming along.
It is stupidly easy to steal the roommates' belongings. No Swiping necessary, you just put them in your inventory, and then sell them. Or keep them for your own use, if they happen to be robotics components.
Max likes it when Eliza visits. Gives him a chance to develop his spellcaster prowess, for one. It is totally normal to have a magical duel in the dining hall.
(You see the scorched roommate in the background, right?)
The Romance festival came. Max asked Lilith to go with him. "So we can, uh, totally prank all the fools who are trying to impress their dates there" he said. He hoped he sounded convincing.
Of course he tried to impress Lilith, with a prank. "That Romance Guru guy looks like such a bozo. Hey, watch this--"
But it backfired
Max got pretty scorched.
But Lilith thought he was cute anyway.
So now Lilith is coming around more often.
He helps her stay awake all night
For fun activities
And other fun activities too.
(Yes, Max has found himself a redheaded villainy lady who is about the same age as his stepmother. Should we judge?)
Max went to a Bot Savants meetup and met a very interesting.... person
He and Max get along great.
Max enthused to Zeus about his interests, including the thrill of the steal
Zeus said, "Ha ha! Silly humans and their ideas about private property! Stealing sounds funny!"
Max thought this was an interesting idea.

That's what Max asked her.
The Humor & Hijinks festival came. Max brought some of his Renegades buddies, and Lilith. They felt like creating some additional hijinks.
Did I mention Max got the Kleptomaniac trait at his Young Adult birthday?
"Guys, create some sort of distraction" said Max over his shoulder as he entered the darkened Arts Center.
As one, they did this

Max easily lifted a painting. It went to his household inventory so it will be some time before he can access it. (Can't, in student housing.)
This gave Max many ideas for the future.

She tells her neighbour and new friend Max Ramsay about her challenge from Vivaan. Rumour has it that Max has developed feelings for Arihi as they've spent time together helping her with the kids. She tells Max about Vivaan's latest scheme from beyond the grave and Max jumps at the chance of making her the next "Mrs. Ramsay" after his last wife Maria got killed after falling from Mt Komorebi.
The following is game actual gameplay.
Arihi asks Max out on a date and he says yes. On the date, Arihi requests a table and Max goes straight to the bar. Arihi orders for her and Max and when the meal arrives Max takes his meal from their table and continues to eat it at the bar and stays there the entire meal completely ignoring Arihi! Arihi is annoyed with Max and she leaves the restaurant.
Arihi finds another potential candidate for Vivaan's scheme in the form of Coleman Minor who is also a colleague of Arihi's. She has a better time with Coleman than Max and they're autonomously flirting without my help.
Arihi explains her to motives to Coleman and eventually Arihi pops the question to Coleman and he says yes!
Coleman and Arihi then get married right on the spot!
Successfully marrying Coleman, Arihi is given her inheritence from Vivaan and he moves in with her and her kids.
Max learns about Arihi's wedding and promises to his sister Madge that he is going to fight for Arihi.
My Golden Triplets were manufacture by me in CAS. However, in two game saves previous to this one, Aaron and Sandi (when I gave the triplets different names from the first time I created them) had triplets. That threw me for a loop. They were the very first actual triplets that game gave me. So unexpected, too. Hang in there.

Early summer was already a scorcher. Almost as if the season had to make up for lost time. Spring was mostly cold with smatterings of rain, or late snow upon occasion. Today, it was sweltering, adding to the Pre-wedding tensions. Erik decided the best way to cope would be holding an old-fashioned water balloon fight. He had an hour or so before he had to give a concert, why not?
He knew Kayleigh could use a bit of fun. She still wasn’t over Hayleigh’s rant. So much so that the words inviting her to be an Honor Sim at the wedding, never escaped her lips. She just couldn’t bring herself to do it. Erik held her while she wept, bitterly.
“Hey, water-balloon fight in the backyard!” he shouted, leading the way out of the Keeping Room door to the back.
Erik was glad to see his mother join in. He had caught her more than a few times lately having a rather animated conversation with the clothes tree in the hall. And, sometimes, he even saw her chatting with the Scarecrow in the garage/greenhouse. Did the scarecrow just nod it’s head? Joseph had assured his children that their mother’s Erratic behavior wasn’t hereditary. She merely struggled when it came to dealing with Stress.
Quickly, the teams formed out on the lush green grass out in the backyard.
Shortly after they got started, Brianna excused herself and went inside. She had all but forgotten she volunteered to make the dessert for tonight. When Erik passed the kitchen on his way out, he saw she was hard at work.
He watched for a very short time as she piped on the decorations.
“You had better go before you’re late,” Brianna warned.
“Am I making you nervous?”
“Maybe.”
Come six o’clock, the families converged at the Orchid-A Go-Go Lounge. Looking around at the set-up, Erik was pleased. The management had, rather, skillfully transformed the couples’ wishes into a reality. The two greeted their guests as they arrived. “Thank you for coming,” Kayleigh said.
“I know, they did a fabulous job,” Kayleigh agreed.
Once everyone had arrived, Erik called for Toasts to be given. Asking if Captain Drake would go first, the military officer went to the bowl of juice.
After a moment’s struggle getting the cork off the bottle, with a loud resounding thwack, pouring a glass, he raised it and began, “I am very pleased to announce the engagement of my third daughter, Kayleigh to Erik Cantrell. Third daughter because she was born last of the three. Identical triplets. She was so tiny, so beautiful. So fragile-looking of the three —“ here he paused, blinking back the tears. “I’m very happy she has found Erik. A fine young Sim, who is definitely going places. Have you heard his latest album? It’s fabulous. Welcome to our family, son,” he said. “Oh, hey, I’m finally getting a son!”
Father James Tomlin was next. “I’ve only known the Cantrell family since they arrived in my parish just over one year ago. As you know Joseph Cantrell stepped in as our Choir Director at St. James church. I met the Golden family not too long afterwards. Captain Drake is stationed here for a time. Erik and Kayleigh met and as it happens, fell in love. I have been giving them the premarital counseling required. I can tell you as I have gotten to know them, just how right, and how ready these two are for marriage. They may be young, but they are so mature. I wish you both a long and happy life together. Many Years!”
“To my lovely Bride, to our families, I thank you for being here tonight, to share our joy.” Erik said.
Erik gazed about the room. At one point he even took out his cell phone and made a very short video of the event for his Simstagram account. He was very happy and he just wanted to share with the Sims who had helped him get to where he was.
He noted that Carina and Mercedes arrived a bit late. Hm, habitual?
Delighted as he looked around, the families were mingling as he hoped they would, getting to know each other. They were soon to be one big family.
Good company. Good food.
Lorelei was enjoying the banquet.
Brianna’s cake was remarkable.
Dancing took place near the old-time Jukebox. Erik walked over there to find Kayleigh sitting alone in the corner. Knitting. “Kayleigh? Is everything all right? Honey, what’s wrong?”
“She isn’t here. She said not to expect her at any family dinner. All a part of her rant. I guess she meant this one. Our Engagement Dinner. Oh, Erik, I didn’t mean to take you from her. I promise I didn’t.”
“Kayleigh, now you listen to me. You didn’t take me from her. We were just friends. That’s all we’ve ever been. Had it been otherwise, I wouldn’t have given you a second glance. I always had this sense that she was close but not the One. When I met you I understood the obscurity of the sensation I was having. You are the one. I never once expected twins, let alone triplets. No more tears, we did nothing wrong.”
“But, I didn’t ask her to be a bridesmaid. I wanted to, I tried, but she was in such a snit when she arrived. I just couldn’t. I came very close to kicking her out of our wedding. I don’t want one of her moods to spoil our day. Now, she’s left out altogether. To top it off I’m short a bridesmaid. I don’t know what to do.”
“We’ll figure something out. I promise.”
“Thank you, Father.”
After a time, the Paparazzi managed to get inside, despite, the Private Party sign. Inevitable.
All-in-all with the exception of the missing triplet, the families had a great time. Erik pondered the possibility that Hayleigh, in her spite, would truly wreck the wedding, as she almost derailed their Engagement Dinner. He certainly hoped not.
