I’m on console and everytime I go to the gallery and get a house it makes me lag extremely bad because almost all houses built are using mods. I’ve found it extremely difficult to find anything with out them. If anyone knows a creator that doesn’t use them and builds nice houses, please let me know.
I want a mod that exactly tell me how old ( in years, if possible even months and days) my sim is, instead of saying... 81 days left, then you turn Adult... (young adult with 81 days left before turning Adult is about a 24 years old person btw, according to my calculations).
I just want the game to tell me i'm 24 years old and not 81 days left of Young Adult.
In real life we have:
Newborns: 0 days-28 days old Toddlers: 28 days- 1 year old Childs: 1-2 years old Still child: 2-6 years old Again still child: 6-9 years old Puberty and Teens: 10-22 years old Young Adult: 22-39 years old Adult: 40-59 years old Elder: 60-75 Very Elder: 75-90 Legendary Elder: 91+
So...
Considering the long life span of 364+ days that is 4 times the normal life span of 91 days and considering 1 day in game = 1 year for our sims with normal life spans so they live at least 91 years (not too far off from the average life span of 72.6 years old worldwide in real life).
I thought: ok, i chose long life span, so 4 days in game = 1 year for the sims.
In game we have with long life spans:
Newborns: 0-12 days Toddlers: 32 days Child: 56 days Teeen: 56 days Young Adult: 94 days Adult: 94 days Elder: 40+ days
So to understand how long for our sims a day is ( in a certain life stage)...well, it depends on how long that life stage is in real life.
So...
Doing the maths:
Newborns: 12 in game days/28 real life days means... 1 in game day as Newborn= 0.42857143 real days
Toddlers: 32 in game days / about 11 in real life months means... 2.90909091 in game days = 1 life month for a Toddler, so 1 in game day = 10.31249999677734 real days
Child: 56 in game days / 8 real life years means 7 day in game as Child = 1 real year as Child, so 1 in game days = 54.14285714285714 real days
Teen: 56 in game days / 12 real life years means 4.666666666666667 in game days = 1 real year as Teen, so 1 in game day = 78.21428571428571 real days
Young Adult: 94 in game days / 17 real life years = 5.52941176 in game days = 1 real year for Young Adults, so 1 in game day = 66.01063835405161
Adults: 94 in game days / 19 real life years = 4.94736842 in game days = 1 real year for Adult Sims
Elder goes from 60 to 91+ so 31+ real life years so...
Elder: 40+ in game days so... at least 40 in game days / 31 real life years means 1.29032258 in game days = 1 year for him ( if the elder lives 40 in game days).
So... how old is a Young Adult with 81 days left before turning Adult (with long life span selected)?
He completed newborn so: 12x0.42857143 days
plus
He completed Toddler: 32 x 10.31249999677734 days
plus
He completed Child: 56 x 54.14285714285714 days
plus
He Completed Teen: 56 x 78.21428571428571 days
He entered Young Adult: (you enter with 94 days left, he got 81 days left so 13 in game days passed.
So as Young Adult 13 x 66.01063835405161 days passed.
So he is 12x0.42857143 + 32 x 10.31249999677734 + 56 x 54.14285714285714 + 56 x 78.21428571428571 + 13 x 66.01063835405161 DAYS OLD.... (about 24 years).
1. At the present time there is no way to list your poses in a way that is easy to find. You need to scroll through all of the poses you have to find the one you want to use in-game.
If there was an option to list them even alphabetically that would be easier to find. I know that many pose creators don't give them a specific name and that can't be helped but to be able to find the poses alphabetically or generically with a search bar within the "pose by pack" option that would be helpful and we could become familiar as to where they are, more easily.
2. For Custom Content, I would like to see the CC all in one section and separate from the game packs and EP's in the thumbnails within CAS. At least then we can find those we want to use from in the game packs, EP's and stuff packs more easily, as well as the CC if we choose to use it.
3. For mods such as the teleporter or the scripts etc, every time there is an Origin or game update they need updating. It would be really useful to have a list of the more common mods that are used the most that need updating every time. If there already exists one, please share that link with me, because since the most recent Origin update the poses and teleport statue are not working at all. I run and enter a lot of competitions for modelling and gameplay that keeps the Sims audience interested but can't do that when I don't know which mods need updating.

Maybe the issue is that people disagree on life stages of people, and what they call them. After all, different people have different child development theories. For me, it would go like this:
Age 0-1 years: Baby. (Though it tends to seem a lot longer than a year for most parents.)
1-2 years: Toddler.
3-5 years: Small child.
6-9 years: Child.
10-12 years: Preteen.
13-18 years: Teenager.
19-24 years: Young adult.
25-60 years: Adult.
61-75 years: Senior.
76-99 years: Elder.
If you have your game on long to very long lifespan, it would take one to three Sim days for each of these stages.
On the other hand, if we compare Sims to pets:
Baby puppy/kitten: 0-1 month. (Sim baby)
Puppy/Kitten: 1-6 months. (Sim toddler)
Older puppy/kitten: 6 months to 1 year. (Sim child)
Young dog/kitty: 1 year to 2 years. (Sim teenager)
Dog/cat: 2 years to 8 years. (Sim young adult would be 2-4 years, then Sim adult would be age 4 years to 8 years)
Old dog/mature cat: 8 years to 15 years. (Sim elder)
Old cat (given the difference between dog and cat lifespans): 15 years to 25 years. (Sim elder)
Conclusion: Sims make great pets!
Thank you for the math though.
I have been playing The Sims since 2001, when Livin Large came out. My avatar deliberately looks like Chris Roomies from TS1.
A good mod to use while building lots for the Gallery is the T.O.O.L. mod by TwistedMexi. You can move items off the lot, rotate them any way you please, and make them hover at any height you like. There's actually an amazing Spellcaster house build on the Gallery that shows the use of T.O.O.L. doesn't cause a CC tag to show up.
Hi all! First time posting but definitely a long-time simmer starting with Sims 2 (had the first Sims but never played, got a story on that but will save it for another day 😊 )
Anyway, I have literally tons of CC from all over and some day might even get into modding myself (I was a programmer in a former life) and am in the process of reorganizing my Mods folder for a second time to make it even more manageable. My request has nothing to do with that, but more to do with looking for CC in Buy/Build mode. I know others have mentioned in different posts how much they’d love to see the ability to make custom categories (similar to Collections in Sims 3) and I agree. But I was thinking that maybe it might be possible for someone to create a mod that would either 1) allow us to add custom filters to the Filter option to drill down even more on CC or 2) add a text box to the Filter option that could be used to type in a term (designer name, set name, etc.) This would be similar to the Search function but that way we could actually see all the objects right away. The Search function is nice, but only lists a limited amount of objects and I can’t always find the specific object I’m looking for or can’t find the right “tag” to make it pop up in the Search list.
I looked over various modding tool sites/forums to maybe get a clue on whether or not this is even possible or where to start but couldn’t find anything remotely close. And it may not even be possible or might be way too much work, but maybe someday EA will take pity on those of us who love CC and help us out!
In The Sims 4 you have at your disposal the entire CAS clothing catalog, that is, clothes are not worth money and just by accessing a closet you can wear whatever you want.
I believed and was delighted to think that with the introduction of businesses in A Trabajar this issue would be solved and taking advantage of the "clothing stores" you could really buy and have a realistic wardrobe. I wanted to go back to the system that I liked so much in The Sims 2, you start with a clothing and if you want more, you buy it, in this way from the closet you access the purchased clothes and nothing else.
Is there a possibility that some mod will change it? I was reading that in the community pack "The rocking chair" a lock would be implemented for garments that were not yet created by our sims, it would not be difficult to add another lock for the rest of the clothing even if it is as an available option.
I am not very up to date with the opinions of other simmers but I think that this feature and buying food gave it a lot of play If anyone has any opinion, I would like to read it.
Any mod? I'm not sure if this can be placed here. I hope your help
I great mod/expansion Pack would be Sims 4 Golf&mini golf(u can also buy a house on the greens)
I'm wondering if they can do that as it was done before as a separate Sid Meiers' Sim Golf from Firaxis and Maxis in 2002. I'd love it though as the game was very enjoyable to play as a single player.
I'd love the option to be able to add the CC used in a build or with a sim personally. If that was an option I would be sharing more often. I don't share because I hate the idea of making anybody hunt down CC used for a sim or build I created. It's not fair to the person downloading.
Playtesting - not just tabletop games and card games any more. Really that should have been playtested in Beta and not
Hello sims team. I love the Sims 4! I used to play it on laptop but now I play it on Ps4. I really miss Custom Content and Mods, no offense but I feel like the game is a bit lacking without them. So I'm asking if you can consider making custom content a feature for console. The use of CC and Mods is game changing and I feel like there isn't an excuse to not have that feature. I know many people agree with me on this, please, please add Custom Content and Mods to the Sims 4 console version.
Can somebody bring this mod over to Sims 4 thanks https://hydrangeachainsaw.tumblr.com/post/612527118748876800/vending-machines-info-4-functional-vending
Sorry this isn't relevant but I can't for the life of me see any way to actually create a post. I'd like to actually do so but I don't see any button to do so anywhere.
