@Onverser and @Pamtastic72 My CC skins are working just fine, here's some screen shots of them with the new skins update underneath
I stand corrected then, I know in Luth’s broken mods thread some were reporting their cc skin swatches not working, specifically Ms. Blue’s and Xmiramira’s along with some others. I deleted mine because they seemed superfluous at this point but I kept my Vanilla by Luumia default overlay, my cc lashes by pickypikachu and my cc makeup by Crypticsim & Oshin + Urban. All are working fine the only thing being the sliders aren’t available for the cc makeup.
What have players with CC skins found since updating? Are they not working at all?
Amazingly, every single one of mine seems to be working so far.
Edit: While the custom skin tones are showing up fine in game, I can’t find my custom skin tones in CAS. So there’s no way to use a custom skin tone on a new Sim, as far as I can tell.
The new skin tones still don’t have enough variation for my taste in the very pale range.
My CC skins are all overlays, not actual custom colors/tones so I'm not sure how the update affected that. The main overlays I use are from Pralinesims https://www.thesimsresource.com/artists/Pralinesims, so I can really only vouch for those
I turned off my updates as I've been cc'ing like crazy lately. So I'll be interested to hear, I'd like to update if it's worth it. The skin tones would be nice to have, but I can get by without it so as not to lose all the work I've done lately on characters and buildings using cc's.
Same here. I don't need to fine tune make-up and skin colours.
Everything seems to be working fine for me apart from the more CAS columns mod which I removed for now. I’m overjoyed that my favourite default custom skin tones are not broken. I wish they had fixed the cooking issues but I can over look it for now and just hope they get to it in the next patch.
Huh the only I’ve seen is genetics are all kinds of messed up right now. The new darker tones won’t show up on kids genetically. Deligracy was playing on stream and caught this. Like it doesn’t matter how many times you randomize child it will stick with one color and one only.
So...no game breaking bugs yet? I'm a little surprised I'm not seeing people mentioning any bad bugs yet. Did they actually manage to give us a big update and fix bugs without introducing new ones? Or did too many people get burned from the last updates and so more people than usual are holding off updating haha.
I'd love to see the new sliders for myself but I still don't trust updating on patch day...

I always hold off on day of purchases or updates (since Sims 3), but my game automatically updated because the patch was released early. I won't play Sims 4 until I know the mods are fixed though. I hope nothing's ruined.
No matter how many time I enable custom content, save and exit the game, my cc is disabled when I run the game again. Does anyone else have this problem?

I usually enable and exit without saving and it’s always worked fine.

I haven't downloaded the patch yet, I can wait to see what happens over the next couple of days. I didn't see anything in the patch notes about the stairs bug. Does anyone know if that bug is still present?

Whoops, turns out my updates weren't turned off. It started downloading as soon as I logged on, so whatever. I just let it go.

I haven't heard for sure as far as general game play goes.
