I could be a reality pack I’m convinced the team will do one as reality shows are very on trend especially with younger generations. Also I’ve noticed a hashtag of simgurucookoff so I’m starting to think it will be a reality type pack. Pre Star Wars and eco lifestyle I would have been against it but I’m now warming up to the idea it would fit in well with get famous

I have absolutely zero interest in reality TV or Chefs or Love Island.
But whatever it is, you won’t hear any complaints from me.
I’ve got my Star Wars. I’ll be good for a while. 😇

Would they be adding something extra to the food? As far as I know two sims who are both at level 10 cooking, cook their food exactly the same. How would they be competing?

I’ve seen all those food tweets, they seem to be competing and it Would explain why the decided to make weddings for holiday destinations too.
:/ As long as items and gameplay etc are not stuck into this reality tv thing then it may not be so bad... but for the reality tv itself another bit I’d probably never use. I really want more gameplay for kids and old people.

Would be fine with me - another pack to skip, meaning my game will survive a bit longer on my outdated computer ;)

The more DLCs you get the slower a computer gets? Didnt know that

Not necessarily, but the game's performance needs a certain amount of your hard drive in order to run smoothly. Adding more content - packs or cc will harm performance if you don't have enough free GBs. I just added lots of cc, noticed more lagged, then forced myself to delete a bunch of RL photos stored on the same drive, and game performs fine again :)

Added: It seems I notice a difference if the drive gets less than 300-350 GB free. This might be different if your vid card has dedicated RAM, mine is integrated with no RAM...

You can add more RAM to your computer and it will run better, won't use the hard drive that much.

If they do this type of pack I hope they have casino stuff also. And how about making it really worthy too by including hotel lots beforehand, and many, many more romantic interactions. If it’s going to have bachelor and bachelorettes, it also going to need some exotic vacation places toi!.

Just because it makes sense to add them doesn't mean they will.

I really hope it won't be this. It'd be way too specific for an EP theme for me, and I don't know how they would justify it not being part of Get Famous. And if the pack would come with a world it'd probably be an urban American one again, which I wouldn't be too fussed about. If it focusses more on the romance part it could be interesting though! Oh well, we'll see :)

If it’s reality TV I’ll buy it... I’d love to play the Dina and her family as the a teen version of the Kardashians or get more flashy outfits ala Get Famous!

Does that mean you'll get a TV crew to film your sim everywhere on top of paparazzi and fans?

Another whole EP dedicated to becoming famous isn't my cup of tea. However, if it does include a love island part or similar it may have side features I'm interested in, such as a much needed update to romance interactions. So I wouldn't write it off as a not buy without seeing some game play.

I'm hoping for medieval at some point personally. I just want a world with no modern buildings in the background and the ability to turn the phone off forever.

Fashion, entertament, active carriers in world similar to Las Vegas? It can be awesome.

So much diversity how can the sims team "listen to us" is everyone has a different idea of what they want.. I know I'd take this reality idea over the snow pack idea thats been talked about as I feel snow would be boring af! but, I'm still hoping for a future or time travel related ep as it would tie in well with the star wars pack and add something that batuu did not

I really hope not! I have little interest in reality television. I am hoping for something more broad and versatile.

Putting aside the fact that I think the game needs a pack akin to generations more than anything (they know we want it, here's hoping it comes out next year) I think this could be fun.

I could definitely see Lets Plays being very popular with this kind of pack... people recreating celebrities and just having dumb fun. Put Gordon Ramsey verses Martha Stewart in the kitchen, or putting all the disney princesses on love island with scooby doo. That sort of thing. I'd probably use it for that kind of stupid fun too.

What intrigues me most about it though, is how much depth they would have to add to make a bachelorette show even work in game. They'd need more jealousy, more passion, secret affairs, sims that ask you out, etc. THAT would be great for the game overall. Even just with cooking they'd probably have to add more interaction. More recipes, recipes done in steps, pairing the right things together... lots of potential.

I would hope they'd have a good array of reality show potentials too. Cooking and romance are obvious choices, but I'd want at least four options. Wilderness survival would be a great theme I'd like! Another one could be like peoject runway and fashion or even flipping houses.

My only question though, how well could this EP work without Get Famous? It obviously goes well with it, but can it function without it?

Whatever they do it's bound to be simplified and less thrilling than real life competitions. If they do this type of EP, at least I hope they add some fun new interactions and objects that can be used outside of the competition gameplay.

Something like that should’ve came with Get Famous.

Why it would be fun, I don’t see myself using a feature like that often.

And the disappointment in the community over an expansion like that is not what the Sims 4 needs right now.

I've barely played the mobile game - but wasn't there a bake off feature? You made something at home and entered it by placing it on a community table. Who won was sort of randomized.

I could see little simplified things like happening. For dating games maybe you sit on stools like in the old game show and it randomly selects a winner? Not sure.

I'm optimist about this one. It's not star Wars. It's not branded commercials. I can definitely get on board.

I surmised that we might get a reality tv pack after they started The Sims Spark'd. However, the chef pig is supposedly a reference to Star Wars, not reality tv.

There's no fine dining in the Star Wars pack. Personally, I don't think the pig was a reference to Star Wars.
