Just for fun, lets find awesome stuff about The Sims 3. The game is going to be ten years old next year, there is not going to be another Sims game for a while so lets make do with what we have already got
Pictures, videos and humour all welcome
Here are some things that I find awesome about TS3:
TSR Workshop! And all the customization possibilities.
CC to make your sims really look awesome.
Just the sheer flexibility of an open world...and the fact that the game play is true sandbox. You can play with life...and do anything you want. The sheer limitlessness of TS3 amazes me and keeps me coming back all the time.
Always "River McIrish" ...and maybe some Bebe Hart. ~innocent expression~
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, The Sims 3 is Awesome, The Sims 3 Looks Really Bad...

Sheesh, wish you guys would make up your minds...
I don't think there are regulars who play TS3 who say the Sims 3 Looks Really Bad. Us diehards think its AWESOME!

Well... I suppose some people say TS3 "looks really bad" but I myself believe that those people have their tastes firmly planted in their backsides.
Here's a beautiful picture of the beach in Al Simhara. That "looks bad" ... /eyeroll
It's the best of times A time when even a rank amateur like me can produce her own world complete with castle ruins, can chose between a variety of supes to play with, send her sims swimming in shark infested waters, have her sims take the baby out in a buggy, ride a horse in competition, drive a fast car or travel more slowly on a vacuum cleaner, make snow angels or use a tanning booth. Where decorating is easy because of the variety of content and CASt and you need never see an ugly townie again thanks to CAS. Draws breath
Pardon my presumption but I am quite proud of this. Some might call it ugly but I have never been a big fan of the impressionist school myself.
I no longer use Origin or My Page. You can find me on YouTube or Twitter as Bettyboop711000. You are welcome to contact me as I explore options for a PC sandbox life simulation game.
Wherever I am friends call me Betty
Swimming in the ocean.
Shark attacks!
Surviving the shark attack!
Diving, underwater exploration, caving, err....hehe, loving. They musta found a large air pocket!
CC that doesn't appear completely OUT-OF-PLACE...no matter what you put on the sims. That's TS3. You can make your world as realistic as you can possibly make a game that was brought out in 2009.
Scenery that looks like it was pulled from a photo of a real life location. (Fog that looks like fog).
Even on an "integrated graphics" chip PC (that I'm running it on...) TS3 looks loads better. keeping fingers crossed that my PC holds out till I can get a gaming PC.
You can even bring out the tones and highlights of a scenery shot, by using basic photography techniques (which I do for photos in RL every day) in Photoshop and it will look awesome.
Graduations in lighting that looks realistic (just like in a real sunset picture - not layered with clear demarcation lines between shades in the sky in *ahem* that other game *cough* Don't believe me? Take a step outside in real life during sunset and take a look up at the sky and see if you see "demarcation lines" between the various shades in the sunset...sky?

The Sims 3 must be awesome because I never tire of playing it even though my playing style has changed very little since I started. Now I am wondering if perhaps I am just a boring person who doesn't like change
It is Awesome because there are so many ways of playing it and so much opportunity for creative expression. I'm currently enjoying making sims look as realistic as possible and as unrealistic as possible. Just having fun mostly. And learning about YouTube.
Here are a few of my favourite sims.
Old Gertie McFluff from the McFluff Story
Annabel - one of my 'slightly' less realistic looking sims...
Paula - in spite of the fact that she's a fairy - she was my first attempt at trying for greater realism in my sims - she's watching TV hence the expression on her face
And Crimson, my latest attempt at the less realistic. She's my current fave as I only make her a couple of days ago and haven't actually played with her yet.
And Crimson being more alert in CAS . tried to give her eyes like Annabel has but see seems to be allergic to them and the game crashes so until I work out a solution for the problem she will have to have the eyes she currently has.
A few of my colourful less realistic fairies - who are also genies. I use mods (as you may have guessed) and I got the skins ages ago from @Moonskin93 tumblr.
It most definitely is, I‘ve created a whole new virtual reality with the game the last couple of years that has become so dear to me as if it were real.
2010-2018 and this tree isn’t done yet. It won’t until they’ll come up with a successor that can replace it.
@JoAnne65 - I am so impressed with your family tree - I'm going to use google to translate your key because I really want to know about some of those connections - what an amazing accomplishment you have there! Thanks for sharing!
@Llandros2012 Thank you It sort of happened automatically because I grew very attached to this family and continued playing them instead of starting a new family. The translation:
I still play Sims 3 on Xbox 360. Sadly i cannot find the Pink Diamond though any tips?. Sims 3 is probably my favorite sims game, but i wish i could play the 4th one.

It's a test of new CC in Evermore Falls below.
Here's a new CC bunk bed I made with S3OC in buy mode.
Here's a picture of it in the game.
Here's it being moved in live mode.I enabled dragging it in live mode with S3OC after cloning the object from modular objects.
@Karritz Thanks for the contribution
