You do know that game developing takes time? Programming a game isn't a easy thing and takes a lot of time. It's best to be patient here.
There's an idea corner in this forums where people post their ideas they want to see in the game. If you look at the older posts, you can see ideas that are in the game like toddlers, seasons, pets, pet clothing, trans-genders, ability to place locked objects in venues, basements, photography etc. In short, they are listening, but have to program in the game or add-on which takes long time.
And Laundry Day stuff pack is a special pack because fans could vote for the theme, main gameplay, clothing, objects, and pack's icon. To be honest, I also made the laundry choice... Anyway, they have said that they would like to do that again.

OP, coming with ideas and suggestions is much easier than actually putting it into a final product. So, of course it will take loads of times. Some packs will take up to half a year or even more to be completed.

I'll never understand the constant demand for more when we just got a pack that many other simmers haven't had a chance to play yet.

Besides, Seasons have enough bugs and glitches that haven't been fixed yet. So it's fine to make suggestions but give them time first to fix things first.

    1. There’s a separate suggestions forum for posting suggestions. This doesn’t belong in the general discussion.

    2. Your post isn’t even a suggestion; it’s a boatload of demands. That’s years’ worth of work for the devs; they can’t bring all that out instantly. With the amount of demands you’ve made, it basically boils down to “give us more stuff” rather than anything specific, which they ARE doing. New packs are being released regularly, and we only just recently got Seasons.

    3. If you REALLY want all this stuff that badly, then why not make it yourself through mods and CC? Oh, what’s that, that’s too difficult? Maybe that’ll give you some appreciation for all the work the devs have to do. After all, a new EP takes a LOT more work than even the most in-depth mods.

Because some people wanted pets and some others wanted seasons, so, it's understandable others would be asking for something different if their fav didn't come first. :) ETA: Witches or mermaids? I'm assume there are plenty of threads asking for one or the other.

It is funny because there is a long dry spell and with what we have been told about what they are going to do on Twitch(more gallery updates etc.) it's hiliarous. ;)

Seasons was released a month and a half ago. Plus the gallery update and bug fixes. It has hardly been a long dry spell. What is is however, is the new norm. Get used to it, it may last a while.

P.S. Thanks to all who complained about too many SP's. Now we get none.

Seasons only just came out! On average, there is about 4.5 months between packs (I mean GPs and EPs, I am not including SPs). We will probably get a new EP or GP in November or December, in line with that.

I’d rather they took their time and did things properly.

The last SP (My First Pet) was released over four months ago. That's two, maybe three, SP's time-wise. Where are they? They said they were changing things up. We did get Seasons early (normally November for Black Friday) but no GP's and no SP's. All anyone has to do is open their eyes and look around.

That’s true, but comparing to ts2 and ts3, we had 8 expansion in 4 years for 2 and 10 expansions in 4 years for 3. For ts4 we only have 5 expansions at 4 years.

It seems that they aren’t really trying to put out content when compared to the other sims games.

You're totally dismissing Game Packs (which many feel are better than EP's or SP's) and we've had six of those which were as good or better than some of the EP's in S2 and S3.

Did you play ts3? Packs like laundry day were included in the expansion packs. Vampires was included in late night. TS3 Pets included small pets, they weren’t added by a separate pack. Toddler stuff was included in generations, and so on.

What ts4 game packs do you feel were better than ts3 expansions?

Every GP was far better than it's counterpart in S3. For example, S3 vampires arrived in Late Night and were improved(?) in Supernatural and still pales in comparison to the amazing vampires in S4.

Laundry in S3 was nowhere nearly as detailed as it is in S4. Did wet clothes being thrown in with dry clothes also make those clothes wet like it does in S4? No. Improved. Could your sims die from a lint fire? No. Improved.

And when they decide to create some type of entertainment pack, I guarantee that S3 Showtime will not be the pattern they follow because it was terrible.

To be fair Vampires are better in the sims 4 because they have their own pack. I also like the fact that I don't have to have Vampires if I don't want to. I like that we can pick and choose what we want to put into our game. I also didn't mind the stuff packs. With that said I do miss some of the features of the Sims 3 but the sims 4 isn't over yet so there is still time to see some of those features in this game, too.

I'm pretty sure most people would rather quality over quantity.

More packs does not mean better packs.

I don’t think you should dismiss game packs. I have found those to be just as good as, if not better than, the expansions in most cases. We have had 11 packs if you count expansion packs and game packs:

    Outdoor retreat: 1/2015
Get to work: 3/2015 (2 months since previous pack)
Spa Day: 7/2015 (4 months since previous pack)
Get together: 8/2015 (1 month since previous pack)
Dine out: 6/2016 (10 months since previous pack)
City Living: 11/2016 (5 months since previous pack)
Vampires: 1/2017 (2 months since previous pack)
Parenthood: 5/2017 (4 months since previous pack)
Cats and dogs: 11/2017 (6 months since previous pack)
Jungle adventure: 2/2018 (3 months since previous pack)
Seasons: 6/2018 (4 months since previous pack)

I agree, I have been disappointed in some of the things which were not included in packs for TS4. I’d have liked to have seen small pets in the Cats and Dogs pack, for example. I have to say that I did appreciate having an entirely separate vampire game pack, though. The vampires in TS3 were just dreadful because they were an after thought to Late Nights. Now that they are the focus of their own pack in TS4 they are brilliant.

True, but one big pack a year (and now not even a SP four times a year?) seems like dry spells to me. GPs aren't meant for everyone, they are focused, so many may skip a GP. Most people are looking for that big EP they have been dreaming about, though it is true imo, GPs are better than the EPs in TS4. In the good ol' days we would already know what EP would be coming out this fall.

Good points here, Maggie, makes me think my irl agoraphobia is affecting my sims 4 content feelings. In ts3 there was like a billion objects to play with at my home lot mansion I built with money earned from hiding in a corner and painting.

Also since it was an open world I could peak out the window on occasion and see something going on that was interesting enough to lure me outside, or just stare at it safely from the comfortable side of my window glass.

Outdoor retreat, dine out, jungle adventures... that’s all stuff I need to leave home to experience. Guess I need to get out of the house more.

In ts3 I had every wacky thing from every career in my house to play with, a ton of interactive objects from the online store, 1 of each occult for interesting interactions, and a ton of little things TS4 leaves out like chairs that you sunbathe in as an example. There is many more but I don’t feel I need to list them all here.

So I do feel content is lacking in TS4 compared to TS3 but you made me realize there is quite a few things the team has made us that I haven’t fully experienced yet.
