Unplugged, let's see how long I can go. Probably won't last long. Sick of internet, time to go read a book and go outside before winter. Cheers.

I wanted it. I wanted to look around some of those luxurious Gallery homes and this will enable my Sim to take me around them.

Can you walk around by using the keyboard keys like in other 1st person games? And can you take a screen shot while in this mode? Or film while in this mode? I used to play a game that allowed me to do all that, it was fun sometimes, but most of the time it was necessary to be in regular camera mode. Maybe they will work on slow dancing facing each other for fun one day.

It's taken me months Rose to finish this many actors for my stories. lol I think I started working on them a year ago. And have many more to go. But it keeps my mind busy so thank you Rose, not saying I'm any good at it, but all these are from manipulating sliders and no special photoskinning etc. so yeah I have poured my heart into them and many many revisions and tweaks, lol. But I do enjoy doing it when I find the time and make the effort.

Well, that didn't last long. 24 hours? Lol Had to reconnnect because as usual I forgotten something and need to ask a fellow Simmer of TS2. lol
  • I just caught up with the first episode of Doctor Who 13. Lame. Lame. Lame. I give it a two thumbs down. Way down. No Regenearation, No TARDIS, No Sonic Screw Driver, and Jody tried way too hard to be goofy, funny and or whacky. Over acting as a woman playing a man as a woman. The writer has no idea how to write a good story for Dr. Who. He was great on Broadchurch, but omg, where is Moffit? There wasn't even Dr. Who themed music during any suspenceful events...which btw, any human could have saved that guy on the scaffle..so why did we need a doctor to do that? It was uneventul, lame, boring, and I won't be tuning in again. Dr. Who is over for me. They didn't even show how she regenerated from Peter to Jody, or what had happened to the TARDIS, how shallow can we go? Reminds me of something else.

It picked up a bit in the second instalment but I'm also having a bit of difficulty accepting Jody. I'll keep watching though.

I'm sorry for the disappointment Cinebar. :( Maybe it'll improve overtime?

I wanted to start watching Doctor Who. I watch one episode with Matt Smith starring as the Doctor. I liked it but when I saw that they changed the Doctors regularly I stopped watching because I didn't want to get attached to one Doctor and then they changed the Doctor to someone else.

Didn't the regeneration happen in the Christmas episode? I'm not a huge fan (my Husband is) . The only positive thing I can say about Dr Who is Peter Capaldi was the sweetest when I met him and he gave me a hug and my Husband was jealous ha ha

The Doctor did indeed regenerate in the last Christmas ep that featured the First and 12th in an adventure; the TARDIS disappeared after the 13th fell to Earth and reappeared again in the 2nd ep of the new series. I think the 13th has been brilliant so far; though I do think the first ep was a slow burn and a bit mellow for a starting story, but so far I'm liking what I see. It's great that you've shared your opinion on the new Doctor Who and it's perfectly fine not to like her. :)

Can't agree. Usually the first episode of the new doctor shows some of what happened in the last, and how he/she is regenerated. They left that out in the 1st new episode. I tuned back in to watch a few of the 2nd, and 3nd epsidodes up now, and sorry, they have made her to stupid, she has to ask too many questions, she begs, she is doing a bad impression of the 2nd Doctor Who and Doctor Who 11, it's not working. The third episode takes them to visit Rosa Parks in the 50's in the US. She's asking why this or that about space things she should know. Her companions wouldn't know that stuff, they have made her way too ignorant. She's too apologetic, and trying too hard, and they put words in her mouth the doctor just wouldn't do, like ' If I ask you really, really nicely would you be my new best friend?, 1st episode) Doctor Who doesn't beg for friends, he has always (since day one of the 1st) had people gravitate to him since he was so unusal and brilliant. And sometimes silly.

It's not because she is a woman, but I was upset by that last year, lol. But the writer of the show isn't doing a good job with her lines or her personality or who she is supposed to be, and no one cares about her companions or her like we did for the last 12. I have watched them all and this one just isn't working for me. Bring back Steve Moffit as the writer (did he pass?) and I might think about it. lol

Real critics also agree, the story and the lines are just not good for a show like Doctor Who. We all got attached to Sarah Jane, or Barbara, or Rose, or Amy etc. There just isn't any of that in these stories, and this one may sink the series but I assume this is the last one. sad really it goes out without a bang.

You might be interested in what Steven Moffat said about Dr Who needing more money to compete with Netflix. He didn't criticize the present storyline.

The Rosa Parks episode didn't feel right to me. It made me a bit uneasy and I don't know quite why.

It's become too political. The thing that saved Doctor Who was the lady who produced the first shows who knew though the main producer wanted a show about time travel and history lessons, the Dalek story was the hit not the history lessons. I couldn't watch the third epsidode. I turned it off when Doctor Who asked a silly question, she should have known the answer. I know she is supposed to be 'regenerating' still yet, but wrong person to play the part, and wrong story lines. I always knew when Moffat had written a story I didn't even have to wait for the credits or to see who had written one. And the companions have no back stories that make us feel close to them like Martha or Amy or Donna Nobel etc. I think they have chosen the wrong person to write the stories and I really didn't like the new interior of the TARDIS. I was going to watch to see how much lecturing they were going to do with the Rosa Parks story, but then Who said something so out of character I had to cut it off.

I agree about it being political. I watched most of Capaldi’s run with my Husband and the show has changed. It’s very PC now. As my cousin said “It’s like tuning in to get a weekly lecture on morality”
My Husband (who defends dr who like the fan boy he is) even admitted it’s a bit too pc for his taste. Although he likes Jodie.

What’s this that the companions are no longer called companions? They are called friends? What’s next celebrating Winterfest with her “friends” making snow pals? Sounds very similar to something else...

Friendly reminder Whovians, this wouldn't be the appropriate platform for discussions of a political nature or gender debates, even if it's centered around a show such as Dr. Who ^^. These things tend to get quite heated. If y'all could be mindful of that when continuing discussing Dr. Who. and the new doctor that'd be fab! Thanks Simmers.

No one else has to comment, I didn't like the new Who for many reasons. One too much overacting. Two wrong writer. Three, no background stories tying the new Who to old friends of the past, there should be background eventually, and four, too much like any time travel show done back in the 70's sort of like Sliders..not very impressive. Had nothing to do with anything other than those things.

  • @SimGuruNinja and @SimGuruRomeo, thank you guys and teams for adding the terrain tools to game. (Soon). I must admit I didn't think we would ever see that happen, and I was starting to believe all my fussing was invain. >:) Seriously, thanks for the sake of builders every where. :) Now back to finding something else on that list. :D

  • The avatar today is of Louis Edmonds, who played Roger on DS. I had a very hard time trying to mold his face. I'm restricted by the width of how far we can move sliders in TS2 to make his face not so narrow, and not so long. But I finally gave up and put him in my game. lol His hair was one of my quick tricks giving one of Maxis styles a haircut. Someday, I'm going to pull out SimPe and Milkshape and apply elbow grease and build my own hair meshes but not now, face manipulation is a chore within itself. :D

Thanks, but I would like my eighteen year badge, since I've been a Simmer that long, but it counts only from TS3 2009 which is also wrong when I joined the TS3 forum in Feb of 2009 not Sept. All those previous years are lost.
