When are We Getting Another Vacation Spot?

This is long overdue. Outdoor retreat was the very first add on that was added to the sims 4 with introducing "Vacation Worlds" & it seems as if they have completely canned everything that has to do with vacation type things since then. I'm pretty sure they know by now that a tropical/beach world is needed. I sometimes wish the sims store would come back where they would release all these things & we could choose to buy it or not. It's taking forever as players have to make 100 topics a day on what they wish and hope for, when it is clear to the creators what is needed. Why do we have to beg and plead for simple things & then wait 100 yrs for it to be created?

I guess it's mandatory, a beach GP has to come with a regular world water swimming possibility, maybe that's why it's taking so long. I hope they're not waiting for a Seasons EP to give us the spots, but I bet they are.

My sims need places to go! Not the bar, the library, the museum, the gym.

    F-U-N places!

I really think a Theme Park as destination like Disneyland would be perfect.

    Yes agreed.

I would love to see hotels and/or resorts added into the game! but I could see them ending up like apartments If they add them ... where we couldn't move them or edit the outsides (although of course I hope that wouldn't be the case)

I'm also dying to see a tropical world with a swimmable ocean (although I'm not getting my hopes up) and beach with the ability to sun tan/burn and make sand castles ! I would love if they added a few waterfront lots :)

For a winter/mountain world (which I really hope we get) it would be great to see ice skating make a comeback as well as skiing and snowboarding and once again hotels/resorts! I want my little simmies to take a cute vacation in the mountains and cuddle up by the fire after a long day outside ❤️

I basically loved how vacations worked in the sims 2 so i have my fingers crossed that they add a similar system to sims 4 but make it even better !

I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds laundry to be unnecessary in the game, but you can't say there are no fun activities for sims when we have karaoke, bowling, restaurants, night clubs and can make our own movie theaters and arcades.

Everyone is expecting a tropical/beach world but I'd also love a snowy winter world with ski slopes, sledding, snowboarding, aerial trams and lodges

I wouldn't call nightclubs "fun". They dance, or listen to the DJ. Bowling is b.a.d. Karaoke is okay. These are just places around town, and many have been there since the beginning.

I want a place that takes our sims outside of the bars. I want a casino. I want a cruise holiday. I want a beach. I want a ski resort. And with those, I want day pass access instead of having to rent a cabin. Most people go to the local slopes for the day, or the beach for the day. They don't rent a cabin to do so.

Oh, and I wouldn't mind a round of golf for my sims either. There's still a lot this game needs for "FUN". And I would like to see it a bit more competition based between sims where there's a winner of a game or something. There's lots they could do with that in terms of both positive and negative emotions.

At this point, they may as well reintegrate Granite Falls back into the ordinary world select screen, and do away with the Destination World menu altogether.

What's the point of a separate screen for one world?

Meet need a beach & hotels pack.

I do like the idea of a theme park, though. If they included a boardwalk and enough carnival games (rollercoasters, even?) theoretically we could create our own (Magnolia Promenade has a layout that would lend itself well to a player-made theme park). That's what I did way back with Makin' Magic and Vacation- I turned the big campsite on Vacation Island into a theme park.

I agree 1000%, we need new destinations/vacations spots. I'm a family player and love all that but I want something to do in the game, a place for my single sims and families to go. I'm tired of clubs, bars, coffee shops and the same parties. All the ideas shared sound great to me so I would be happy getting any of them. Give me a tropical beach and jungle, Vegas like destination, cruise ship, mountain resort for snow, an amusement park like Disney Land, Marine World, Six Flags or Knotts Berry Farm. And with these new destinations, new jobs, aspirations and traits to fit the new activities. All of these things should be in the game

Yes yes yes. I would LOVE for them to include a tropical world, as well as a "ski-resort" type of vacation world when Seasons comes out.

I want more fleshed out vacation worlds. Granite Falls was cute and all, but I want the vacation worlds to actually feel like worlds, rather than slightly large neighborhoods.

Ohh I really like the beach idea. And swimming around the world... very cool! I would hope a GP / EP like that would come with a lot more swimsuits and sunglasses styles.

I'm hoping we get another vacation gamepack next quarter. Summer would be a great time to release beach content...

I am too. If we get another GP next quarter though I'm sure the the GP wouldn't come out till September.

I didn't freaking buy The Sims to do laundry, iron, make beds, run after kids, go to work every day after day after day.

    Some people did.

pffft if that's all they bought it for they have a very sad boring life XD Still, it should be equal No one does chores 24/7 and no one goes out 24/7 There should be a balance with things. We do need more vacation spots. My one Sim cries his eyes out every time they go camping. He hates it. But there's nowhere else for them to go unless they pitch a tent behind a building somewhere and sleep overnight. There's nothing too exciting to do in camping other than "hiking". catching bugs is fun, but it doesn't last...We have enough domestic nonsense and with the fitness (which i don't see the point of with gyms everywhere) and the eco living packets ...well, yeah...MORE domestic nonsense. Wake me when the snore-fest is over.

Does anybody else feel like a tropical world was heavily hinted in Parenthood? When you send your Sims to volunteer at the beach cleanup, it says something like "You want the beach to be clean for when you visit there."

I don't believe we will get seasons - but may get seasonal vacation towns with the way these worlds are made with the back drops and all. It would look rather silly to have snow all over the place and yet no snow on the background and unfreezable water and such. So stands to reason the background will be what ever the season for that town or vacation spot is. Just like Sims 1 was.

I'd like to have something special and exclusive in the public spaces when my sims go on vacation

eg, if it's a snowy cold destination, I want my sims to skate on a frozen lake (they can give us a boring ole skating rink too for lots back at home), but how exhilarating to change into your cold weather gear, and go ice skate in the open air, surrounded by a snow-capped forest. Then I want them to add the ability to make group hot chocolate to the grills we already have in game, so after skating, our sims can call their group over to drink hot chocolate together and sit on the benches watching the other skaters, and the wildlife frolicking in the snow.

eg, if it's a hot destination, I want my sims - from toddler to elders -to be able to hire bikes/ and or skates and follow a path around a lake, go somewhere scenic, hop off their bikes to admire the view (a self-interaction that's been added to their personal menu to do anywhere, any time), then spread a picnic for lunch before taking a dip in the lake, then getting back on their bikes before sunset.

eg, for the beach, I'd like included a rock pool - a section of the ocean safe for toddlers to wade through and children and older to swim in - (as well as a surf ocean to swim and do other activities)

Whatever destinations they give us, I hope they also give us enough lots so we can build our own restaurants, spas and whatever other community venues we might like to build etc, as I have a feeling we won't be building our own hotels (based on apartments and what they've said about one family per lot restrictions).

Soon would be good. After running around after messy toddlers, building volcanoes with kids and grounding enraged teens with no TV, I need some fun get away time.

I agree we do need more vacation spots in this game, you can only go camping at Granite Falls so many times..

I love to travel in my real life, trips and foods are what most give me pleasure, we already got restaurants with Dine Out, and that was some of my most excited moments with TS4.
We need more destinations, camping isn't enough, my sims are tired of camping and dreaming with beaches! I hope this pack come one day, with different hotels, luxurious and simple, with room service and other amenities.

    A picture just to inspire!

I'm a family player, and I agree with the OP!

I really want an Island Paradise-like pack, with hotels/resorts, swimmable oceans, and...maybe even mermaids again (pleeease)! Sims 3 has spoiled me a lot in the tropical island pack department. :grimace:

Now I am having high expectations (whoops!) for an Island pack!

@LeGardePourpre This place is amazing too, :) I showed Fernando de Noronha because I've had a good trip there, and I also discovered it is the best beach in the world by Trip Advisor (Link), but there is a lot of good places to inspire. I also love Bora Bora, Maldives, Thailand, Turks and Caicos, Seychelles, each one with its particularities. This pack could be a little bit of the best of each! But anyway I would love to have a quiet island like Maldives, Bora Bora or a party beach town like St. Tropez, Trancoso. My sims just want to go to the beach! :D
