The big block design is very imposing and gives nothing away for the casual passer-by. Very nicely arranged and decorated bar, having two separate 'games' rooms is a sound choice for a busy bar catering to a mixed clientele. The basement is wonderfully 'sleazy'! The lightening and smoke effects work very well in creating a seedy atmosphere.
This small but perfectly formed venue was clearly the height of sophistication once but the clever use of CAS has given it a very distinct sense of age (and wear) to what was once elegant décor. Nice separation of the "common" pub games from the richer casino games and each room suitably decorated to suggest it's popularity was in the past. Good use of MOO.
Oh, dear! Thank you so much @SjappielovePaul !! I haven't been around for some time so I was completely surprised finding my wishlist gone! And of course thank you @ajaxpost !
Congrats to all the winners! I've a lot of catching up to do but I will start watching those video's you made @ajaxpost , that must have been quite some work. And making a decision must have been very hard! I found that making a den is also quite a challenge, I started twice and gave up as it just wasn't working out and I saw all those great entries!
@ajaxpost: I'm really enjoying your presentations. I will admit I got a chuckle when I noticed that you use Douglas Veiga's gardener mod!
Thank you, Mia, very kind of you to say. Though, not sure how you know I have the Gardener mod ... I think I only used it once and have forgotten all about it - until now and, yes, it is still being loaded, even though I'm not employing a gardener!

Hoplass, you are most welcome. It is absolutely my pleasure to be able to pay forward the generosity I have received from fellow Simmers, and being able to help @SjappielovePaul do the same is just double the pleasure!
Finding a 'winner' was a hard choice, all the builds have something great to offer, so I am really pleased that I could reward all the entrants. The videos are taking somewhat longer than I expected - I had recorded them all with a commentary but decided I hated the voice-over so I'm spending more time editing them down but still making sure I still show them off properly. Though it has meant I've leant a few new features of my video editor ... which is good.

Well, one of your Sims is. When I was watching the last video you posted, there was a pop up in the top corner where a gardener said, "I'm done now, that will be $125." Since I use a gardener in my current game (while I will use the fairy spell Bloom to make my plants grow faster, and I use Doug's Witch Gardening spells to fertilize and weed, all of the mass harvesting techniques cause occasional Sim resets that annoy me, and I'm too lazy to harvest my humongous gardens manually), I recognized the pop up immediately.
I think I have almost every mod DV has come out with. He's an absolutely brilliant modder and programmer, and comes up with the most useful and interesting mods.

Ahh!
No, that was a "maid" as I recall. Quite unnecessary really but while I was waiting for the Dive Bars to open I didn't want my Vandenburgs to have to worry about tidying up ... well, they wouldn't, would they?!
I think I must have every Fresh Prince car, and a half-dozen NRAAS mods, plus a ton of CC décor and objects, but relatively few 'interaction' type mods.

Hehe, I knew I recognized those cars! I only downloaded a few, but they're my cuddle babies in the game. First thing I do when building a house for rich Sims is build a garage for Fresh Prince cars
And thanks once more for having a go on @Hoplass wishlist!
Don't forget to take care of yourself every now and then in this big chaotic world!
I hadn't realized that was a maid, since I never bother with them. I drag and drop food to the trashcan, and my Sims can clean everything else. The Self-Cleaning upgrade helps a lot, too. I prefer that to Unbreakable, because I actually like having things break on occasion so I can get the repairing handiness achievements.
You should try the Gardener mod, if you like building large gardens. Helps a LOT.
You still have a few videos left, no? I'm dying to see the rest of them.
Oh, ahh, oops, thank you! Nodded off there for a second!
I generally prefer my Sims to look after themselves, rather than have me help them out, but I do like to upgrade to self-cleaning to make their lives a little easier. I will have to look at the gardener mod again, poor Carl is getting old now, and no one else seems to be interested ...
Yes, I do have several more videos of these builds to complete - they will all appear eventually, just have to schedule them amid the Lets Plays that I'm doing now.:)
I had a mod that I was using for a while that I plan on finding and using again that had the maid also feed small pets. I found it very useful for avoiding that occasional overlooked lizard or fish.
A wonderfully dilapidated build that fits very nicely into Hidden Springs. The dour colour scheme, grubby walls, and broken furnishings really give a sense of neglect, as does the junk-ridden exterior. The use of lifts is a nice touch as is the rusted styling of the casino tables. The large lower basement and nectar still is open for all sorts of nefarious goings on.

What a great idea for a mod. Even with just three or four minor pets, keeping up with the cleaning and feeding takes up so much time ... when I remember!

Wowza - congratulations to the winners! I'm loving seeing the videos - they're fabulous.
Apologies for taking so long to come back and I think it's completely sweet of @ajaxpost to offer simpoints to everyone.
May I please have Cherry on Top and Dress with Open Back and then anything else on my wishlist to make up the points? Surprise me!
Howdy! Thank you, glad you're enjoying the videos - I am leaving Seedy Joe's towards the end of the process as it is one of the most detailed, intricate, and impressive lots that were submitted.
I am delighted to be able to send you a selection from your wishlist, I'm sure you will enjoy them and put them to good use.
Fits in to Hidden Springs centre perfectly. A smart, but not for everyone, feel on the outside, the interior is compact and neatly arranged, the double-door toilets are a neat touch as is the chilled sun-deck for a casual chat or game of pool. The consistent colour scheme throughout gives a sense a style and elegance ... if somewhat faded over time.
Woot! You made it look and sound awesome. Thank you for all the work you've done to present these. And thank you again for running the contest and being so generous. I hope you are still enjoying your gambling den in game.

Thank you, you are most welcome and I have certainly enjoyed seeing all the great creations.
Though ... I am not actually using the new lot in my game yet! It will feature quite heavily but I need a particular Sim to age up before I get started on that part of the story.

Many, many, apologies for taking so long to get to the last few videos - I will try to prioritise them now ... though I have just bought Sims 4 and am trying to find some fun in the gameplay ...
Wonderfully uncared for exterior and well-worn interior décor. Great bar arrangement with little corners and spaces for different activities including a separate 'sports' room, and the less "Legit" activities are nicely separated. Back in the day the outdoor area would have been great for summer activities with the family, not so much now. Expert use of MOO and Buydebug options to style and age the venue.
I never told you, I really like the videos that you've done. You've shown the lots off very well, and the fact that you were playtesting them in the process was awesome.
There were at least two or three things in every build that made me wish I'd done something that person had done, or put something in that they had put in, and sometimes something would make me wonder just how they had done one or more things in that build. I was amazed at all the creativity, and it was surprising how we all came up with such different things, yet all of them fit into that neighborhood. I've gained many ideas for a dive bar if I ever decide to build one again.

Thank you Mia, you are most kind.
And I absolutely agree with you, it's one of the reasons I love seeing and being part of sharing threads, so many different people contributing so many different ideas. It's wonderful. Where I might have a particular look in mind someone else will visualise it quite differently and use some different technique or set of objects - it is what diversity is all about, learning from each other so everyone gets better.
Though it does make judging competitions that much more difficult!
