I have a small correction to my post about voting this month. I accidentally wrote that the poll closes at midnight on the night of the 8th. That was a mistake. It closes at midnight the night of the 7th. I did give us a full week this month just to include the entire weekend. But no need for eight days lol.
Oh god I had no idea you guys would be so intrigued about it xD I promise I'll explain when the poll is done I didn't want to say it now as to not make anyone go "oh that one category sounds cooler" and disregard voting for stories from the other category.
I made it a little easier on myself by writing down which ones were my favorites as they were uploaded, so I just had to narrow it down this month. There were so many good stories this month!
My votes are in. All the stories were awesome, so it was so hard to choose just three. I wish everyone could win.
I do have to agree with @Julyvee94 in that there are definitely two distinct categories of stories this time out. I don't know if we're thinking along the same lines, but I know for me, I see two categories. Like her, I won't disclose them until after the poll is closed becuase I don't want to influence votes.
Voted. Wow! That was another tough one. Third, fourth, and fifth was a tie for me so I had to reread again just to break my own tie. Good luck to all the contestants.
Voting for the July challenge winners is open at this time. (Poll closes at midnight (Central US time) on the night of Aug 7. Link below)
Simply list your three favorite submitted stories (You must list three different stories). Rank doesn't matter - you don't have to list 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Just your three favorite in general. The stories with the most votes overall will win. 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded.
I had five in my top three and had to whittle it down to three. Excellent job all authors!! Thanks for sharing your talent.
This was my first time reading the monthly short stories as I just rejoined the community in July. I was part of the community briefly back in 2014 when Sims 4 launched but I didn't stick around long.
I'm considering joining the fun for August and possibly putting up my own story for submission.

@lisabee2 I'm glad you found the link you were looking for. And you've given me an idea. I had never thought to put a link to the entry list in the voting post. I think I will start linking it there too during the voting period. More ways to find something would be a good thing right? I'm sure there are others who have had trouble finding it in the past, so thanks so much for asking. And thanks to @mastressalita and @Spottydog714 for fielding the question while I was offline.
I've done it! Here is my entry: Side Story - Verixe
It's kind of a prequel to my main legacy, but it can easily be read as a standalone story without any confusion/spoilers. 1338 words, 12 screencaps.

Though I too am curious about what these two story categories are that @Julyvee94 is referring to.
Part One(Complete 9/24/16) /Part Two(on hold)/Short Stories(on hold)/Twinbrook 1996(on hold)/Ten Crystal Hearts (on hold)
I own the TS3 Store as of 12/11/16 (sort of. It's complicated)

I ended up with four again. And had to fight with myself severely to choose only three.
