Thanks for the answer, having the same issue about starting discussions. That's a shame, wanted to share my legacy. Better *get to work*! (see what I did there...)
Try logging out of your account and back in to see if the new discussion buttonshows up. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Yeah, I did read through it all. I tried. Unfortunately didn't work. Gonna have to get points. Anyone got tips on how to get likes/awesomes/agrees or whatever? seems like the "get 5" of those badges are the way to go
Hello @crispcrunchgirl .
New members are unable to edit comments. When you become a full member, there will be a cog gear wheel on the top right hand side of each of the posts that you can press to edit the post.
Im sorry to ask this if its already mentioned, but i couldn't find any information on this. How do we edit our posts on the forum? I can't see the option for it. Many thanks for all the information!

Normally new members can't edit their comments. Hope this helps! Once you get 30 Posts and 50 Points, you will become a member and will see a little Gear sign in the corner.

I don't have the blue "New Discussion" button appearing. Is this because I only have 40 points? I've been a member since 2009 and have 121 posts (all from the old Sims 3 forums). I have started playing again after a several year hiatus and have some questions but am unnable to post any questions because I can't find the "New Discussion" button.

If you have a game issue, you can post it on another thread that another simmer has already started, and there will be simmers that will help you with your issue, or you can wait until you become a full member and then start a new thread.

Yeah this is very helpful, glad someone broke it down for all the new members. I was beyond confused lol
Hi . Is the new with the 30 posts and 50 points?
I have previously created my own topics here, even without 30 posts. Bacause the points were enough, but suddenly it is no longer possible. I have a problem with Sims 3, and in no existing theme my problem fit in. I want to play my game , and not wait a few days until I can post something. What should I do ? The topics in the section that have already been answered, no one is looking more at it now. So it doesn´t help me to describe my problem there.
@SimsCat84, trying logging out of your account and back in as this sometimes work. Apparently there must be a glitche in the system as I have seen New Members who have been here for awhile having issues with starting a thread vs a Newer New Member who just recently joined. So I brought this issue to @SimStaffBethelle attention and she recommended the logging and back into the account to bring up the New Discussion button. And if it doesn't come back up, try clearing your browser history to see if that helps and if it doesn't, try another internet browser.
