Okay you win lol I adore the build you posted and am going to change from the one I downloaded to use the one you found simply as a matter of aesthetics.
I would love it in future when I get to see pics your new finished world if you could provide me with a list of buildings and download links as I think we have the same taste
@SPARKY1922 Sure thing! It will take me a while to finish, I don't have as much time to really work on it as I would like. It seems every time I turned it on and started something, I would have to stop for some reason or another Then I think I WONT have time, as I expect something to interrupt me, then it doesn't...I am like.. Really??? But it will be done..at some point It is my goal!
Glad you like the lot, I thought it was pretty I think I might have to many lots....not sure where my sims will live at this rate
I know what you mean it takes a lot of time searching sorting out and testing lol but I did not mean right away just afterwards when I get to see the beauty of all your hard work-)
I think my obsession is due to spending hours making my sims 3 worlds just as perfect as I can and although we only get to see sims 2 worlds in neighborhood view I still want to see it looking modern and functional when my sims are visiting
@SPARKY1922 Woot I got all my community lots in, and a few decorations to boot. I made one starter house, empty still, but the frame is there Added a few lots for more starter houses. I never played rotational, which is something I am going to attempt in this town, so I think I will start with just a few, and add one here and there as I go. Sneak Peek! So far I like it
Sorry view is pretty far, and my graphics ain't the best either The tiny specs you see are listed below
Something I found fun to add- some of the Rabbithole buildings from TS3.
What I did was place them on the lots in the neighborhood view and then go in the lot and decorate around them to make them look better. They're not useable but they are viewable.
@Rflong7 Oh that's cool! I wish we could just pick and choose the lots we wanted instead of downloading them all I will keep it in mind as I work on this some more though.
Question: For future reference. How do you put a picture of your town in the select town screen? Instead of having some green blob on a graph type thing.
I like your neighborhood better....I need to try harder... Is the park from 3 usable? Where did you get that? I didn't see it on the list from that link, or maybe I missed it...

Go to the Neighborhood folder and then to the neighborhood you want to change- there's a picture for the neighborhood and each subhood.
Here's the Readme text-
CUSTOM NEIGHBORHOOD PICTURE
In order to create a custom picture to represent your neighborhood on the main menu, first save the picture you wish to use as a .png file (a 4x3 size ratio works best, but pictures with other proportions will be stretched to fit).
For "home" (non-Open for Business) neighborhoods: The file must be named N0XX_Neighborhood.png (where XX is the neighborhood number). Then place the file in the neighborhood's directory (e.g., My Documents\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\N004).
For Open for Business neighborhoods: The file must be named N0XX_Open for Business0XY.png (where 0XX is the neighborhood number of the home neighborhood and 0XY is the neighborhood number of the Open for Business neighborhood). Then place the file in the neighborhood's directory (e.g., My Documents\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\N004). Open for Business neighborhood files are kept in the same directory as their corresponding home neighborhood.
*The neighborhood picture shows the size if you want to be precise.
Thank you so much for that lovely pic of your world project (or neighborhood, I never know exactly what to call it in 2-) and links to those fab lots I can see a lot of downloading in my immediate future I really look forward to seeing your finished project..
@Rflong7 while I don't truly understand the how's of using sims 3 rabbit hole builds in sims 2 worlds it looks awesome and makes me wonder if you will be uploading your finished world as I would love to play in that
Is what you are doing similar to how they kind of paint builds/terrain in the backgrounds in sims 4 where it is only for show but sims are unable to visit? I think I read on another thread where you commented that with sims 4 you would have to be a PC programmer or similar to be able to build properly in 4 which I thought was quite sad as it will limit the awesome talent we have in the simming community and makes me wonder if they did that on purpose
I have just had chance to check out some of those awesome links you provided and have downloaded most of them and saved some until I understand what extra cheats are required to play or place them.
@SPARKY1922 Glad you like it, I might have to do some serious rearranging, I'm never satisfied
@Rflong7 Speaking of Sims 3 lots, didn't @nanashi-sims make some usable 3 to 2 buildings? I think I remember seeing a thread about it here a long time ago.
**goes thread diving to try to come up with a link**

honestly you sound like me I spent hours in every world in Sims 3 to make it perfect so I know Sims 2 is not going to be any different I just love the way @Rflong7 's world looks so modern, uniform and appealing
Yay! Can't wait to see the rest. Maybe if I use your pretty lots, my world will look almost as good as yours!
haha my thoughts exactly as I have some time soon to start this next project even if I don't understand everything too well yet
just a thought I don't know if you have seen the following site before but I registered and there are some pretty good newly built residential and commercial lots one being an up to date golf park.
@SPARKY1922 Oh cool, I will check it out later, I woke up with a cold, and my head feels like it is gonna pop it is so stuffed up, but my nose is runny..go figure
you are welcome in these days of very dwindling sims 2 stuff all things new need to be appreciated lol I hope you feel better soon I hate colds and flu with a vengeance
For anyone new to TS2 looking for CC, I suggest replacing all of the games clothes and hairstyles with CC. There's this perfect website with links to default replacements for skins, hairs, eyes, clothes. http://sims2defaults.dreamwidth.org

@Rflong7 Speaking of Sims 3 lots, didn't @nanashi-sims make some usable 3 to 2 buildings? I think I remember seeing a thread about it here a long time ago.

I built the grocery store years ago. I should link it.
http://nanashi.sims2.net/
What .....yes you should link your grocery store! Been holding out on meh!!
Edit: Ahhh I can't get the terrain paints for the park to download I am a sad simmer right now.

@SPARKY1922 Ya Rflong's worlds look so awesome, I'm jealous
I built those years ago and have them saved... was thinking of uploading and sharing some of them.
There's a School, an orphanage, a spa, restaurants, clubs... malls. The tall one is empty and is just filler for my neighborhoods.
ooh thank you so much downloaded and installed now patiently waiting for more
