The toddler items with Aurora Skies (the playpen and the walker) are both seriously glitched if you've patched your game to 1.63!! Toddlers will become forever stuck floating in the air, not fixable by any cheat, when they max up on any skill in these PC.
I've sadly lost a few toddlers this way... sniff sniff...
As much as you want to buy them (and they WERE sooo much fun to use), stay clear until EA fixes them (which may or may not happen since they seem to have given up on fixing things...)

I just wanted to mention that the Happily Ever After set is on sale until 11/29/2013 if anyone is trying to get that set on CYS like me. I'm only mentioning this because I thought the original date was 11/22/2013 like everything else on the sales page.
Now on to my question. I have gotten my CYS price for the Full Hewnsman Set down to 40 simpoints after having spend about 1,104 simpoints to get it down to 40. Would it be better to:
1. wait for it to go on sale
2. get a 25 simpoint item from that set on sale and then buy the set
3. buy it at 40 simpoints
I am not the expert on CYS, but I believe option 2 would only reduce the CYS by 90% of the items regular value, or 22 or 23 points. Then your balance is 17 sp which totals 40 sp anyway.
Option 1 would likely trigger the download button, but who knows when the set will go on sale. It depends how much you want the set. I am waiting for sales on sets where I have a little more than 200 sps as my CYS. So, for me I would go with option 1.
Thanks for the reply and I'm going to be waiting for it to go on sale. With my game unplayable because of something done in the patches after 1.50, I've decided not to install anything I get right now until it's fixed which means waiting for a patch so I'm not in a hurry for the set.

I've been meaning to say, I like your list of Sims to make! I have some from SG-1, Atlantis, & Eureka in my game. Although the Eureka ones aren't very good. They're more representations of the characters rather than likenesses, as I had a lot of trouble getting any of them to look right. But they're still fun to play!

I see the DD list continues to be as lame as ever. Which is good news sort of, because I won't have to worry about missing anything good while I am at the Titanic exhibit with my favorite sister tomorrow. Also Grim's Manor showed up in one of my MMAO tonight, it was there with a few other items I want, I think the deal was around 20% or so, 1683 or something sp. I turned it down because thats just not enough discount. Luckily Hidden Springs didn't show up in any of the deals either, but at the same time only one of the deals was any good, but it contained several items from One With Nature, and I am hesitant to buy anything else from that set before its CYS because I am curious to see how low my CYS on it will be because I own several things. Oh well c'est la vie.
In unrelated super bizarre news I had a dream last night about our little group, its like we were all our avatars except we weren't animated like in the game we were all real and the houses and places were like the game except well they were real too :shock: Let me tell you it was super bizarre. But it was also really nice

Yeah, I spent money on a MMAO that was terrible as well. I'm generally pretty good on the math, but the CYS thing is still a hard one to decipher. The upshot of it was that I paid what I would have for the Romanza set that's NOT CYS, and still have a ways to go until I can complete the full set. Blarg. I don't like MMAO. I just get a ton of '3 carpy shirts for 12% off' offers. Or hair. I can't imagine that there's any tracking of our browsing of buying habits being used because I don't even look at CAS stuff.

I also had looked at Aurora Skies last night. My fifth MMAO of the night included Aurora Skies Gold, Boho Vintage Women's Collection and 2 items worth 100 sp from Drifter's Desire. The offer is listed as savings 24%. I do want AS, but I have no desire for the Drifter's Desire items. Recalculating the worth of the deal with the cost of Boho being my CYS discount price, the savings are only 16%.
Oh well. I am passing on all five deals. I waited a long time to get Sunlit Tides for 50% off and DV for $8. I can wait for AS to be a good deal too.

I had some great stuff offered to me in MMAO tonight, just not at great prices. I was surprised to see Grandpa's Grove, but it was only with a couple of CAS items for 1640, which wasn't that much different from the original sale price, which I didn't pay. I was excited to see AS at 2550, but it was only the standard edition, with another set that was 850, but my CYS on that was only 320. So I passed on that as well.
I did buy 1 offer that I'm not sure was that great, but it did seem a fair discount. I got the Gift of Speech Baby Monitor with a couple other items valued at 125 for 337 total. Not sure I wanted the other 2 items, but I thought that was still better than 500 for the GoSBM. And it brings down my discount on Lullabies and Nursery Rhymes and the Jan. 2013 comp.
Oh, and somehow after the last MMAO, when I went to check my wishlist it was ALL messed up. I did have all the buy items together, all CAS together, all sets together. Now it is item, set, item, set, etc. AARGH!
