I would love a hotel so I can do a bed and breakfast. I kind of do it with the roommate system but it’s not quite the same. I also wouldn’t mind better school options such as homeschooling, private school, and play at the school like active careers.

This one was a difficult choice as I would genuinely love to see any of these new lot options added to the game.

I nearly selected graveyards, but ultimately, I went with the option that I thought could potentially offer the most gameplay opportunities and that imo is schools.

It's not a specific venue, but it could be a lot type... The thing I have wanted since the beginning of my Sims experience is a "customizable lot type" which allows players to choose what activities sims are pushed to do when they enter the lot. Mainly because I want to be able to combine existing lot types into one lot or create specific lots for story reasons where sims do activities that none of the existing lot types really push them to do.

I currently use the Get Together club system to sort of achieve this, but it would be nice to be able to do it by choosing how the lot itself functions. Whenever the subject of new venues or lot types comes up, this is always what I'm truly hoping for (but doubt we'll ever get).

But, apart from that, I guess the main venues I'd like to have include movie theater, science center, arcade, amusement park and some kind of toddler play center. Especially the toddler center. It frustrates me that even when there are toddler items on the lot, no npc sims ever bring their toddlers (even if plenty of toddlers exist), and the club system does not include toddlers, so I can't even get them to show up that way.

Personally this is my list for lots. When I say lots I mean lot designation, compatible traits, signage, appropriate NPC's, appropriate objects to make it work well, Uniforms that are fitting , Door & Windows that are fitting etc. Or a reasonable Rabbit Hole

1. Cemetery - With a creepy NPC caretaker, I want to be able to lay flowers & have memorials as a planned event
2. Hotel - Full Service Only Please (Front Desk Concierge, Maid Service, Room Service, Locking Doors, Pool Bar)
3. Grocery Store - Not a Rabbit Hole. Like Sims 2 Please
4. Candy/Chocolatier Shop & Ice Cream Parlor Like Sims 2 but more upscale
5. Casino - Preferably with hotel. Poker, 21, Roulette, Cra.ps, Slot Machines, Upscale Think of Monte Carlo
6. Town Hall - Rabbit Hall
7. Sports Arena - Rabbit Hole
8. Hospital - Partial Rabbit Hole
9. Warehouse - Rabbit Hole
10. Japanese Hibachi/Sushi Restaurant with Tea house - Hibachi flat top, Sushi Bar, Tea Service
11. Horse Arena with running track around perimeter, stables, and the obstacle in the center for pole jumping
12. Nail salon for Mani-Pedis

Comic shop sounds promising. The place could host gaming nights, book signing hours and comic conventions.

As for jails, I love to play them, but I feel they work better as residentials. At the moment I have seven prisoners with a live-in social worker, but with GT you could also summon a club full of nasty security guards.

I chose mall because that would be a venue with different options in the same place, like shops, cafés, bars and restaurants all in one. I would also love movie theatre, hotel, amusement parks, and clothing stores - but most of all I really like the suggestions @GlacierSnow made.

Well out of these I've already built lots i wish to use as hotels one day

and I have one wnb mall as well

so those id like to have as actually functioning lots first

but I'd really like many of these lots...

well except that i don't really see reason to have comic store as lot type like it would just be retail or id include one in mall sooo...

but id like items to make comic stores like comic book displays

and arcades also kinda feel like addition to other venue kinda thing for me it doesn't need a lot type per say but id like items for it

aaand for jail they really should just update police station so your sims can visit it while not being cop and get sent in jail for being on criminal career and doing criminal thingies

graveyards? would be cute if only the game didn't immediately delete all my ghosties if i don't add them to household

I'm biased, since I had a sims 3 family where one worked in the graveyard part time, and I probably played 100 hours of just that one family :p That's what I voted for, for nostalgia's sake, but I'd prefer it to be an integrated park area in a neighborhood than a full lot on it's own. But then, how to build one or put your own graves there... Idk. Maybe I should've voted for hotels instead :p
