Your home is very beautiful! @Bonxie The exterior design, stone wall texture and the architecture is so very lovely! Very great towers.spires and roofing! The balconies are very nice! The flowers are pretty
I began this a week or so ago based on another floorplan of mine. It's a much newer floorplan, but not the newest I have (I want to work on that one soon). With this one, I spent the entire day yesterday (while having to fit in other things) dedicated to building it, and it's nowhere near finished! I'm way too much of a perfectionist, keep changing things, and the weird thing is I don't imagine my houses to be as huge as they end up being in The Sims, so I'm trying to get them scaled down a bit. But I've tried to learn new things about building with these changes, because I'm determined to get better at building and be more creative with the houses I'm designing. Even if I don't keep the houses in the end, I'm practicing, which Newcrest is great for. It's giving me the freedom to play around and experiment.
Anyway, this is the house!
Original floorplan. It's very colourful.
Outside. I wouldn't wanna live in a house this big. Way too much to keep clean. But if you had the money for a big house, you'd have the money for cleaners, I guess.
The rest I'll add in a spoiler.
Basement. First I've designed in The Sims4. It was an absolute nightmare for me to figure out how to make this, and I know how to make basements, it's just the actual doing it part wouldn't cooperate! This is what took the longest for me to do but I'm happy with what I got. Not sure what I'll put down there yet. It wasn't in my original design but I felt like adding one.
Bird's-eye views. I really don't like the landing area being that obnoxiously large lol. Those in the opposite rooms to the stairs would have to sprint to and from them. I had to do a bit of rearranging up there and adding an extra couple of rooms because of the vast space.
Hallway. I originally wanted the staircase to the basement to go under the staircase in the hall, but it was proving too complicated for me to do (technically I did succeed in doing it, but it wasn't going the way I wanted), so I scrapped that idea and put a cloakroom under there instead. And that extra little room is a downstairs toilet.
Kitchen. Best kitchen I think I've designed. The little room off is a larder and cupboard for the bins for now. I mistakenly put a window outside that room and then realised they shouldn't have a window. They need to be cool. I'm a bit worried having the cooker on outside of the larder now... that'll heat it up! I guess I can change that at a later date.
Living room. I had to make this a lot smaller than it first was when I began designing this house.
Dining room. I'd have liked a slightly wider table. I was tempted to have two tables next to one another but that looked odd. I don't know if there are wider tables in packs I don't yet own, but this was the widest I could find.
Other side of the dining room. (And I've just noticed what I did wrong - it's why upstairs looks huge as well. I will change it later!)
Utility room and conservatory. I've never designed a conservatory on The Sims before. I was going to put in those huge rectangular windows around the conservatory but I wasn't keen on how it looked.
Upstairs. This first room was supposed to be an en suite for the bedroom next to it, but given how much of a botch job I did doing the landing, I changed it to a study instead! And the little room to the right is an airing cupboard.
R-L: The double bedroom the en suite was supposed to be connected to (along with a little walk-in wardrobe that I've also had to scrap (for now)), a small single bedroom, and the main bathroom.
Bathroom again, and the second double bedroom with its own en suite.
Final two single bedrooms. I like to think they're kid's rooms or one a toddler's room and the other a nursery now I've designed this 3D version of the house.
They're all the photos! I will be doing some more today with this house and I'll update when there's more changes and things I've added. It looks kinda drab without any wallpaper, carpets or furniture.

Your WIP is looking great! @hely0t It was great reading about each area of the home, how it is going, and how it reflects your floor plan. I hope your work on the home goes well
Hi I just built this Ziggurat build for an exotic Wedding Venue, im not certain if I will keep the red fence or put walls, I thought a wedding venue needs some colour. Im also thinking of adding a base to walk around it, I dont think they do usually so im off to look at some pictures.
I was thinking it could be for different weddings including Arab, Indian, Sulani and more.
@luckyheather Wow - a Ziggurat. Very nice and a great design! We definetly need more building with ancient archetypes.
I already experimented with Greek temples and also an Egyptian Pyramid.
That was my first try, but I wasn't happy with it. It's completely build with roofs. It looks decent, but it's hardly playable.
But I've learned many things about build mode and in the end I build the "Hanging Gardens of Oasis Springs" as a homage to one of the seven wonders of the world: Hanging Gardnes of Babylon
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
Hi @Bonxie thanks I just added an update picture its looking better but still lots to do. Your pyramid looks very clean and fresh as if its in a SciFi movie I too have done the hanging gardens both in sims 3 and 4, my TS4 is huge on the Windenburg Island its 64x64 and its a club so I might change it as I did it years ago. Yours is pretty, I like the statues are they CC?
Hanging Gardens of Oasis Springs is a very lovely build! @Bonxie It has been so very creatively designed and built! The architecture and greenery is lovely!
Your WIP is looking great! @godzilla166 The glass dome fountain feature is very nice! The exterior design of the building are great! The statues adds a great look to the build.
Your Arabian style WIP is very lovely! @luckyheather The patterned flooring is very nice and great dome roofing! The water fountain is pretty! Very nice design of the building. The outdoors dining area is very nice and great platformed bubbles machine area.
Thank you @rosemow I enjoyed myself creating the house this morning and I had fun with the lovely floor tiles we now have, including from the new kit that I used as quarter tiles The big star pool is a swimming pool and the front pools are just ponds I will decorate. Im glad you like the platforms with bubble machines on I know our sims enjoy those. Thanks for saying its a nice design with the domes.
I am doing a caffe where the Vamps live. Here is what it looks like so far, I might change ceiling lights as they are too much and the roof needs lots of items and I hope to find some paintings of letters in the gallery. I have 2 inspiration pictures below. A simmer did the upright coffins for me ages ago (tool) and I have wanted to build this ages. I decided for it to be help yourself as Vamps dont need to eat but ppl do and the Dine out stuff was too modern and so is the Caffe/Coffee stand, plus it gets over run with customers.
I will add tables and chairs not diner seating as I tried it they are so chunky and looked wrong...why am I so fussy Lol
The vampire cafe is looking great! @luckyheather The design and colours suits vampires well! The werewolves look great on the roof towers! The dead ivy on the walls gives a great look to the build. Very nice interior stools counter area.
Thank you @rosemow I am having a lot of fun with it and I even managed to fit a wedding arch in the garden so the Graveyard Caffe will have more usefulness
I had an idea for a new house earlier so I began building it. It looks weird but I like to say interesting. I've been making it up as I go along. It has a porch/entrance hall, living area and kitchen etc. on the ground floor. First floor is a garden and fenced off area will be like a children's play area. Second floor has all the bedrooms and a bathroom.

Your WIP house is looking great! @hely0t The exterior design is very nice and the arch windows are very nice. The interior layout is very nice. It is great that there will be a kids outdoors play area.
Your castle WIP is beautiful! @Bonxie Very lovely exterior design and layout! The towers are great! It is a very pretty picture taken at night with the moon there
Talking of Castles, I made a throne room. I used the prop throne from get famous, but unfortunately EA once again only did a 90% job. The throne is slightly too high for the max. room height, and you can't sit on it. You can't even climb the dais. There is no interaction possible at all. From a sim's perspective that throne is a pure illusion. I really can't think of any reason why they did it that way.
Why EA?? Why even making such a thing at all if we can't use it??
At least it looks decent - so maybe that's the reason why we got it.
Bonxie: Great Skua, stercorarius skua. Meet me on Fair Isle.
The throne room is creatively great and very beautiful! @Bonxie The curved tiered levels, the knights on guard and the regal throne are lovely! The gold marble walls are elegant and very pretty curtains and ceiling lights
This is what I started last night, its a Steampunk Pirate's Tiny home, its for the Challenge #NWShellChallenge04
This is it so far, there will be all sorts on the outside of the waters edge and the Tiny Ships are remote controlled toys for Pirate fun!
Your steampunk pirate’s home WIP looks creatively great! @luckyheather The canons and the tiny ships are great! The piping and fish net are great on the wall, and the brown wood wall texture suits the steampunk theme well. Very nice exterior design!
Thank you very much @rosemow I saw the odd shape of the shell and thought Steampunk would be perfect for it and I was tempted to have it flying but I decided walking the plank onto it would be fun and having stairs upto a flying tiny home would be too much walking and it would look too much with that small build. Thanks for saying its great I am having fun with it but I must continue with my newlyweds as he is working now.
