      Thank you! @mothersuperior2 I got the disc today and tried to boot it up but it looks like I'm going to have to uninstall my Origin S3 game to make it work through the file. Don't have time to mess with it cause we're leaving to go out of town in the morning, rats!

      I'm still thinking you might have to launch with your latest expansion (which might mean not uninstalling base game) but I'm sure there are people here who can throw more light on it @VGryphon maybe? Haven't looked in the Tech Section, but I guess you have. Have a good time out of town! :yum:

      @mothersuperior I do have a thread in the tech section and it was recommended I get a pre 2012 disc, which I have now, but it boots up Origin. I only have the original S3 game though, none of the expansion packs. It was suggested I need to uninstall the S3 Origin game and see if that works so that's what I'll try first. If that doesn't work maybe uninstall Origin? I need to be able to launch my game without the Origin launcher cause when I use the launcher it copies my dccache .ebc files into .tmp files doubling the amount of store content in my folder, which makes my game lag horrifically. And now I must go pack! Nothing like waiting til the last minute.

      Here are the Daily Deals I have left to get:

      DD# 626 - Romanza Bridal Party - Tomorrow
      DD# 698 - Everyday Kids Collection - July 23rd
      DD# 792 - Dreams of India - July 31st
      DD# 947 - Pushin' Pedals - August 13th

      Besides these sets, all I need are the MMAO items, and I'll have finished the store!
      I do not have a wishlist as I now officially own the store. I have a thank you thread. Here is my Sims 3 page. My top 5 list can be found here (it is empty).

      No I didn't, I gave up and went back to having what I had before :lol: I wanted a hyperlink to my sims 3 page and one to my sims 4 gallery

      Thanks @despina53 and @angeljess26! I know that I've got it bookmarked (and it shows up as bookmarked when I go to the link) but just could not find it. I've now deleted and remade the bookmark in a place I can find it! :smile:

      Also, I was going back through the past few pages and have to giggle at @Me1620 and @bekkasan -- you crazy gambling girls! I must admit, I have been of gambling age here for some time and have never bet on cards, machines, etc. with anything more than Monopoly money. :wink: I'm quite impressed with your winnings there, Sandi! But I definitely can relate to Jodi's $4 -- I think that's all I'd be putting in! My dad has been a cashier at the big casino in the city here since I was teeny tiny, and he assured us that winning was next to impossible. Granted, I learned the actual odds in high school maths, but I just can't shake that feeling that I'm waving goodbye to money that could be useful... Like $20 could buy quite a nice venue from the Sims 3 Store (if I still needed any!).

      But I must be heading off to bed! I'm busily trying to prepare for the end of the year, when I'll have graduated once again and have no concrete plans for the future. At this stage, I'm planning everything around me continuing into doing my doctorate next year AND trying to take up a journalism cadetship. Who knows how that'll go!? It's a little overwhelming just thinking about the preparation, but I'm excited. :smiley:

      @despina53 I'm with you on the techno illiterate part. I can find links sometimes, but, have no clue how to change them to 'DD Birthdays' like @angeljess26 did! My links come out with all the numbers and what not. Takes ya to the page most of the time, just not as concise and pretty. :) I just learned how to do the bold and strike out!! :o

      @trithone Sorry I missed it yesterday. Hope your birthday was loads of fun.

      @kellycot1 You are correct about the $20 buying a lovely venue. I made that trip probably 20 years ago. Well, before splurging in Sims3. I'm not buying Sims4 or the stuff for it so I guess I could go spend another $20 in Vegas now ;) Erin, awesome news about your future plans. I guess I will have to call you Dr Erin!! I guess a cadetship is similar to an internship where you work your tush off for bare bones of money? I'm wishing you calming thoughts as you get all the preps done.

      This is BBCode to your My Page, but you need to remove all the spaces I added "[ u", "= http", "x ]" and "l ]". I think those are all of them.

      The easiest way is to:
      1. copy the website address you want to link to
      2. type out the text you want to add a hyperlink to and highlight it with your mouse
      3. select the "chain" link icon above the message entry box which is to the right of the emoticon
      4. in the message box, paste the web address right after the blue highlighted "http://&quot;

      If you quote my message you can copy and paste the link I made to your "My Page"
