HI! My name is SimsAddiction968
I discovered Sims 1 summer 2001 when my youngest was 1 yr old.
I bought all Eps & Sps for Sims 2 as they were released.
I even bought Sims games for our consoles and handhelds.
I have bought all Sims 3 Eps & Sps as the were released.
I have held my grandson while playing. He is now 5 and plays FreePlay.
I have pre ordered Sims 4. I have the Sims 2 mouse and waiting on Sims 4 mouse.
I have a Freezer Bunny tattoo and a bracelet tattoo of the Sims 2 aspirations.
YES! I am addicted to The Sims no matter the form.
IMO, I highly doubt that the current DD list will be repeating. With the new updates coming to the forums, the last store set being released today and the upcoming release of SIMS 4 next month, I expect that the DD sales will also be experiencing some major changes as well.
The SIM Gurus may not know what's going on with the DD list either and under company policy, they may be prohibited from answering this question. It's not an uncommon practice, albeit unfair, to not let all employees and consumers know ahead of time of changes that a company decides to implement.
I'm going to expect the best but prepare for the worst. It wouldn't surprise me if the store team decides to cut back drastically on the number of sale items that are offered on a daily basis to about 1 every 6-12 hours. With no more store content being created and the SIMS 3 store is "allegedly" believed to remain open for at least another 2 years, I just don't see EA being generous in allowing the continuation of the really deep discounts on the venues and sets that we have seen this summer to continue indefinitely.
I hope I'm wrong as I really wish that they would FINALLY make all sets, venues, and worlds CYS enabled ASAP so I can use the DD list to purchase everything from the store at great prices. Thank you to all who have sacrificed sleep, vacations, and family time to keep the list going for the stalkers. I would not have been able to get half the things that I have purchased without the work that you have put in to create and maintain DD spreadsheets and buyer guides.
Cardencal, yes, they can change things up now that they believe Sims 3 is going away, but the changes you suggested would be stupid for them. Thinking like that is what put Circuit City out of business. When a new product comes out, the smart thing to do is to discount the old stuff to get it off the shelves, which CC never did. (That's why they don't exist now.) While it's true, this is virtual stuff, they should realize that as people leave Sims 3 for Sims 4, if they want to catch those last few buyers for their virtual Sims 3 stuff, they'll actually offer big discounts.
It's the reason Sims 2 started having those triple bundles in the last few years, and why Sims 1 came in a Complete Collection box as well. No one would have bought them otherwise, but people who hadn't gotten around to trying them before thought, "Why not?" when they saw the bundles. That's good marketing.
Obviously EA isn't stupid, since they do stuff like that, so I doubt they'll be stupid with the store, unless it's different people making the policies here. But company-wide, in general they aren't stupid about marketing.
I just wish they would give us an answer about this, so we will know one way or another.

Surely someone on the Store team knows what is going on, or has someone to ask?

I want a puppy and want to know about whether the Daily Deals will be repeating.
Yes, no, maybe so (meaning I'dunno).
