JEREMYSIMS01 and rumbutter - thank you for your comments

I think I am cured of building anything for a while now. This just took way too much of my time and became and ordeal for the last few days. But I was determined to finish it. Especially when my computer kept getting too hot (or something) I'm blaming the heat as it was in the high 30's here. That's Celcius. I was sitting at the computer with a fan blowing on me (as I am now at 7:40 am - I can feel the day getting hotter already).

All I can hope for now is that we don't get any more new build objects for a few weeks so I don't get inspired and go on another building spree before getting over this one.

I have to go back to work next week and just about all I've done since my 2 weeks off started is build roller coasters. I think it is time to play a bit.

I still have a few more pictures to post in my Creative Corner thread but no time for that today - I am going out driving to see the sights around here. May end up at the Gold Coast or GC hinterland. Probably go up a mountain as it might be a bit cooler up there and I'm off to the GC next week with another friend.

I hope you enjoy playing with the roller coasters. And Sims in general.

I'm going to spend the day in my car and it has air con :lol:

    Yes

I'm about to turn the computer off to get ready to go out.

And I've been wondering about that build you are working on and hoping you'd post something soon.

As you may have noticed, I was somewhat surprised by the number of items in my latest build. So I had a closer look at it and posted that list. I'm about to add to it as I know I didn't put the Surfing set in this one and it is listed as being in it. I still have more investigating to do there. It has been a very enlightening experience having a look at where things come from.

A lot of what is used is not listed and it seems things that are not used are listed on the Exchange as Items included in the build.

I'm up on the mountain. Just ordered lunch.

I was surprised to see the surfing set shown as being in this build as I couldn't find a spot to put a swimming pool in the building.

    Yes. I guess so.

I was interested to notice the place where I had lunch yesterday had an area on a veranda behind the main building. That is where the tables were for people to eat.

It was all open and they had those rolled up plastic walls that I was talking about in my Blue roller coaster build. I made the Sweet Treats roller coaster with a building that would have had those types of temporary bad weather walls too.

This time there is only 1 roller coaster - but it is a l o n g roller coaster so the Sims get a much longer ride.

    RC_Blue007.jpg"width=550""height=440"
Here it is in Lucky Palms

    And Sunlit Tides

This is the best for me, Sims store team should hire you :D

Unfortunately I usually don't upload things not finished, I'm my biggest critic lol and it would really haunt me to do so. I'm sorry  , But I do have a theme park I'm working on, I'll be uploading soon. prob. sometime next week.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. I've been impressed by the creativity of the people who have decided to add their work to this thread too :-)

And, just to show that I like to see what would happen if...

I just spent the last 3 hours or so removing the building from around my Rolling Thunder roller coaster just to see what it would look like.

    RC_Valid.jpg

It's a bit of a mess and could be tidied up a lot - but I'm going to bed now as it's almost 1:30 am. At least I've salved my curiosity :D

Edit: I tested and both tracks are still valid - its just a tiny problem of there being no way for a sim to get onto one of them. The scary part downstairs is untouched.

hiya Karritz i finally got a chance to get back to my build this evening but alas and alack the game froze and i couldn't even F1 out of it had to task manager out even then that took some time to do i've lost my build :(:( but am going to try again at least i have 4 images i was able to get before it bellied up on me and can use those for my rebuilding there was going to be somewhere to eat like a fancy tea toom and upstairs some skeeball and or arcade machins (fancy to my building skills :) ) and a outdoor decking seating area for eating or just to sit down and an indoor pool then i was going to build the roller coaster to the back of the building the color scheme will be changed though as you can see i'm trying some different ones but i may go for bright colors

hey rumbutter. I know the feeling of losing everything. The game seems really unstable over the past few weeks. And I'm also having problems with Google. I know my virus checker is also causing problems but I'm trying to ignore them because that's too hard for me to think about right now.

You build looks like you had it off to a great start. I hope you can get back to this point fairly quickly next time. I find redoing things is quicker than working it out and doing it.

I'm about to turn it off and go do something else for a while.

    Have fun :D

When your UI disappears try hitting F2. It can prevent a lot of irritation.

I thought twice about my holiday rollercoaster lot, and I have given in, I'll be uploading this shortly. let me tidy it up a bit., Warning, this lot is not intentionally a theme park. It's more of a holiday gathering park. to invite friends family and to celebrate the holidays. I hope you guys like it lol. (thinks silently what have I gotten myself into  )

The darker ones are amazing, they remind me of makin' magic. :) Can't wait to put some of them in Midnight Hollow.
