Everyone is doing great with their rollercoasters

I hope we see many more. I tried to do a ghost train/haunted house one for Midnight Hollow but it wasn't going right so I bulldozed it.

I really love the candy themed ones! Makes me want to rush out and get the Katy Perry pack  (I never thought I'd ever say that).

I was just looking on the Katy Perry's Sweet Treats forum and found out the Stuff Pack is no longer available for sale.  People are rushing to get copies from Amazon and wherever they can find it.

elenorbreton, I'm glad you like what you see here. I have been waiting patiently all day for more people to put more up but not many seem to be ready for that at the moment.

I have to thank rumbutter for continuing on.

It gets less confusing the more you do it. I'm onto another one now. It is only a single track on a 64x64 lot in Sunlit Tides. I'm not planning to have any pink or sweet treats in it. :D That doesn't mean it won't happen though.

Good luck with your progress everyone.

I've been thinking of putting some sort of an index in the original post so people will know where to find things. Maybe I'll do it on the weekend. It's late here now and I need to sleep as I have to work tomorrow. The last day for two weeks.

Plenty of Simming time coming up.

bleaks place is finished i added 2 consession stands to it and have playtested it to make sure sims could buy at the stand and use festival tickets i'll test it one more time before uploading it

as far as i know you won't find KPST on origin as the contract with her and EA is conculded

Yeah, I heard about that quite a while ago. I'm sure people don't have to panic though... it seems to still be on sale in all the usual game stores (online) even if Origin don't have it anymore.

Cheapest I've seen it is £12.99 at Amazon. I'm tempted... just so I can use those candyland coasters in their full glory  And I guess it would complete my collection as it's the only SP I don't have. But I still can't get the images of those clothing items out of my head... especially one in particular

Everyone's roller coasters are amazing, rec'd all. I love how there are many different themes...nice job everyone.

I've been too busy with rl at the moment, Christmas stuff and all but will definitely try my hand at making a coaster...personally LP is begging for one. :D

And at no time will I ever run out to buy KPST sp.

You all look like you've had such fun building those, I couldn't resist an attempt any longer. This is Summer Hill Funfair in Sunset Valley:

    Funfair.jpg

I had tons of fun building it, as I love funfairs IRL. I tested it out with the Bachelor family - I forgot the fact that I'd left a gap in the fence and everyone got in for free instead of buying their tickets

    Fencegap.jpg

All those fun things to do, and guess what Bella and Michael opted for when left to their own devices?

    Homework.jpg

I would love to have this in my game. Do you plan to upload? Even if not, this is so inviting. I'd take my simmies to this venue for sure.I have the perfect vacation spot in my town for it.

    hi rumbutter

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I've been proccupied. I had to go to work. But that's over now until next year :D Also I've been building another roller coaster and I've been planning another one but have to get this one finished first.

I have no idea of the white lights your are having problems with?

And I'm glad you wanted to continue building. Encouragement has no effect if there isn't a genuine desire in the person being encouraged. I eagerly await pictures of your new builds. I'll put some more up later. Maybe today or tomorrow.

wow, thanks for the info Rumbutter, just checked at Origin and you are correct, they are no longer offering that one for digital download OR selling the disk. That's seriously strange to me, that EA would agree to those kinds of terms. dang.

What makes it even more awkward, is that Midnight Hallow and this roller coaster are exactly the kind of thing which would make otherwise uninterested folks, want to purchase the stuff pack.

I bet that is exactly the same kind of terms which EA agreed to, in regards to the T-Mobile and Dr. Pepper items. drat. oh well I shall hunt down a giant mushroom cc instead, and give up hoping for a "pity release" from Ea.

    ^ ^

I find it immensely amusing that many of the people who shunned the Katy Perry stuff pack are now scrambling to find it. I've also seen where people want to use the dollhouse as a gingerbread house for their Christmas decorations. I've heard that Amazon still offers it and has the best price. For me, I'll continue to avoid it. Just doesn't appeal to me.

Here is my contribution. :D There are two rollercoasters. My daughter asked me to base one on a rollercoaster from SpongeBob called "The Mitten". So I did. It only has one hill so I think of it as a children's coaster. But the sims seem to love it. :D It's a 50x50 lot and has an archery range, indoor surfing, playground, a small arcade, and outdoor snack area. It is very colorful and heavily landscaped.

I've had a dreadful time trying to get photos to show up so I'm only posting these two.

    @ Monet11 WONDERFULL love it :D

@ stickykisses maybe they heard my plea no more celeb "endorsed" stuff i bet people could improvise with what we do have and just recolor with dayglo/neon coloring would dearly love the dr.pepper stuff imagine it a wonderland roller coaster

@ Karritz i think those white lights are for lighting effects in rooms, venues and lots, no matter i'll worry about that one later

i placed acopy of bleaks place in another game as i'm and a first for me too turning it into a festival lot i've had some success with it still figuering out some aspects of making an festival lot though

HOORAY time of work enjoy and have fun :D

monet11 - it is a wonderful fantastical lot. Recced.

I'm finding roller coasters a great opportunity to make lots that are wonderfully over the top.

I agree with rumbutter - if only we had the Dr Pepper stuff to add into these lots.

Nik24x7 I got the KPST SP when it came out and haven't had much of an opportunity to use it. So when I started on that roller coaster I went crazy and decided to try to use everything from that SP that I could squeeze into it. I love looking at it now and the Sims seem to enjoy being there because they stick around.

I didn't know the KPST SP was no longer available until after I put the lot onto the exchange.

rumbutter - do you mean those big square and rectangular outline type lights that are in buy debug?

I use them a lot as they add lighting where you don't want a light fixture to be visible. You can change their colours too. There are daylight ones too. I think they come on during the day. I have them in my underground gardens. (I put farms in the basement sometimes - so the Sims can garden and I've still got space up top for other things.)

I've been adding gobos to my current build. They came with late night and are also in buy debug. They are great party lights. I added them as I wanted a dance floor. I'm still on the tropical theme though. That's what I'm familiar with as I've lived in tropics or semi-tropics all my life.

My next roller coaster is going to be different from anything I've done before though.

Here's a preview of the one I'm working on now. It is almost finished but I need to take a break for a while.

Rollercoaster building is lots of fun :D

I wondered how small I could go and still get a decent-ish ride, I've started this one on a 50x50 and found it quite difficult but managed to fit all the different pieces in:

    IP.jpg

That's just the beginning, I haven't added any terrain paint, plants, decor etc to it yet.

I did have a go at one on a 40x40 lol. That seemed just too small, but I'd love to see if anyone else has made a successful looking one on a lot that size.

I put my KPST roller coaster on a 50x50 lot and found that a challenge. I think I started on a 40x40 and abandoned it. 40x40 is possible if you want a small track and nothing much by way of extra fun things for Sims to do.

I might try it eventually. I am rushing to get this latest one finished so I can start on the next one. I already have another one partly made - the track is valid but I've done nothing else. I don't know if I'll ever get back to that one though. It might just be a big delete.

    Hi Everyone!

I'm seeing some fabulous builds here! Great job!

I'm starting on my second roller coaster. It's still a work I progress. It's being built on a 50x50 lot and will have a circus or carnival theme (I think). I might change my mind on the theme. It's definitely using the Le Cirque set, though.

    Screenshot-103a_zpsb9049f0f.jpg

I have a long way to go before finishing it, but the track is valid. I'll keep you all posted.

    Best Regards,
    Nik

Thank you Karritz and Rumbutter for the kind words! There are so many nice builds here! Is it possible to download too many? It just makes me want more theme park items. Rollercoaster Tycoon is one of my favorite games besides the Sims. And I wish we could build an entire theme park for sims. :D I too am tempted to use the KP items in a park. I still may but I probably wouldn't upload it because there are so many others using it. It's not possible to change the outfits of the food vendors from the seasonal snack bars is it? It would be great to be able to use some KP outfits for that.
