I have a Intel GMA 3000 its supposed to be supported by the sims 3 but I have distorted pet issues... Everything else works perfectly fine except for the distorted animals!
I have a Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family in my laptop. I have read that updating your drivers helps. I checked and my drivers are up to date. However, the driver is from 2009. I'm running Windows 7 32bit. My current driver is 8.15.10.1930. If someone could please let me know if that is in fact the current driver, and their game is at least runnable, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS,
no fur issue and horses have a weird shine to them when put in a dark black (ot sure if this is meant to happen or its a glitch)
Said it's not recgonised on first play, however I am having no issues with gameplay at all, pets have fluff and everything. The graphic's are amazing !
I have an ATI Radeon... something or other... and I did have the no-fluff issue, but it has been fixed by updating my graphics card through the Dell website.
My game does lag occasionally, but as laptops are not really made for gaming, I definitely understand that. I currently have 3 expansion packs installed and another on the way, so... that's my B. LOL.
My video card is "ATI Radeon HD/4300/4500"series with 512 memory on the card. My Sim games have all played great. My pets all look great with fluff and have it set in the game on highest settings.
I'm playing with the Intel G33/31 Express Chipset Family.
=[
******.
Any fixes? (Besides the obvious "You'll-have-to-replace-that.")
(I just wanna play Pets, and skate by until later this year when I update my whole processor and stuff.)
**EDIT**
I've been playing Base Game, World Adventures, High-end Loft Stuff, Fast Lane, Late Night, Outdoor Living and Town Life Stuff expansion packs just fine, until I installed Pets a week ago.

Try turning on advanced rendering, saving and exiting the game and then reopening it. That might fix the issue you're having.

I only have problems with the dogs and cats. Horses are fine.
First they were like this ^
Then I updated my graphics card and now they are even more distorted.

I have the exact same graphics card and the exact same problem.
I took screenshots
1) Open the start menu and search for "dxdiag"
2) Click on the program "dxdiag"
3) It should open a window like this:
4) At the top, there is an option called "Display", click it.
5) After its open look at the section "Device" and the name is your graphics card.
Hope I helped.
