I do have a backstory for Flora in the works. Honestly just been too exhausted to flush out all the details though, so it's on the back burner for now lol. But we can pretend that she spent the last month being safe in Glimmerbrook and learning magic with her cousin, Morgyn. Since I saved Flora from last year's save and she had already done a lot with magic, she automatically completed several of the milestones for both aspirations. Even when I took away her spellcaster state at the beginning of this year, I guess it saved a lot of those skills anyway haha. So it works in my favor that I have a little bit of a head start on those aspirations since this month did go to waste as far as gameplay.
I'll get things ready to start Britechester soon and hopefully get back into the groove of playing. For now, not gonna worry too much about a story and I'll just enjoy playing

@Ellupelluellu pretty dog! How do you handle aging townies in your game? I had started with long aging, and then when June was about to age up, I just turned aging off. I thought that when I turned it back on again, everyone would just be where they left off, but it reset everyone back to the beginning of their life stage, so now I need to manually age everyone up. 😥

@Belalucina , yes, that must be some bug then.. I have indeed aging in long with all, played and not played, but now when babs is very close to age up, aging is off to all.
I just tested, turning it back on did not reset anything. All are few days to age up where I left them ..

You use Mccc? with that it really takes just 2 clicks and you don't have to even be in that household.
you click a sim, select mc command, then "Sim commands" , and then "set age"

@Ellupelluellu lol! 😂 That would happen to Don. Yeah, I use mccc, so it shouldn't take too long. I have custom age spans too with mccc so I wonder if that's what caused my problem. I may test in another save to see.

So it didn't reset but it only aged everyone 11 days instead of 31 that it should have been. I must have accidentally set it to normal before I turned it back on is the only thing I can figure. So now I have to decide if I want to go and age everyone 20 days or just have some of them only be 11 days older than their children 😂 (like Bella and Cassandra Goth are now only 11 days apart in age). I may just not care and go with it. Too much trouble to add 20 days to everyone's age.

yes, custom lifespans are most likely to cause bugs, especially now when they added new lifestage and tweaked all ages again

Yeah, hopefully soon mccc will be updated again with the infant stage able to be customized. I went back to normal for the 5 days, then just edited the other stages to be long, but I should have done that first before I set the lifespan back to normal. That's why everyone is only aged 11 days. You live you learn I guess.
I customized it to make it more realistic... 4 sim days equals 1 year. So I have something like this:
Baby/newborn - 2 days (to 6m)
Infant - 5 days (to age 21m)
Toddler - 13 days (to age 5)
Child - 32 days (to age 13)
Teen - 32 days (to age 21)
Young Adult - 76 days (to age 40)
Adult - 100 days (to age 65)
Elder - 45 days (to age 76.4)
That way grandma and grandpa actually get to see their grandkids grow up lol. Impossible with normal lifespans.

practiced magic with her.. really magic needed as a house between them.. I know there is a mod fixing this bug, makin them actually be close, but I have forgotten by who or where.

I keep getting distracted and playing with another family so I can explore infants, whoops. But Flora did age up and now lives in Britechester. I thought I picked a very fitting adult trait for her

While Flora waits on her uni acceptance letter, I figured I'd have her knock out the spellcaster aspirations. I probably have enough worlds at this point to skip Glimmerbrook and since Flora was already halfway done with both aspirations, they were pretty easy to knock out.
While Flora became a skilled spellcaster, Morgan learned to paint, and I feel like the bikini clad woman in her painting does bear a resemblance to Flora lol. It's a very excellent first painting ever
Her second painting felt more accurate for her skill level LOL
Also it was new year's eve
Looks like Father Winter wants to try his luck with romance in the new year haha

Both Morgan and Flora got acceptance letters. Flora chose Britechester with a degree in Language and Literature and Morgan chose Foxbury with a degree in Psychology.
Tbh I'm gonna plow through these terms as fast I can. I don't really enjoy playing sims going to college so the faster I get this done, the better haha. With any extra time this month, I'm going to have Flora visit vacation worlds and/or worlds not in my monthly rotation. So let's get down to business...

I only just finished fixing the ages. Didn't fix everyone, but most kids are aged up who should be.
