Due to lack of participation and use, this thread has been discontinued. I'd like to thank all those that did drop by back in the early days of the Stories and Legacies Index to submit shoutouts for your favorite stories!
Normally all submissions made in a month will be featured on the Stories and Legacies Index in the Monthly Shoutouts section the following month, but since the archive was set up right at the end of August and I'd like something showcased there during September, any submissions made up through Labor Day (September 7th, 2015) will be showcased during September. Any submissions made after that during September (September 8th onwards) will be showcased in October as per normal.
I'll be posting a few shoutouts this evening, as I've been finding some great stories on here! If you have a story that you enjoy reading, please don't be shy to submit a shoutout for it!

Website/Blog/Channel name: Alice and Kev: The Story of Being Homeless in The Sims 3
Current site URL: https://aliceandkev.wordpress.com/
Sims game featured: Sims 3
Reason for the shoutout: I remember finding this story by chance in some Google search results on day when I was looking up Homeless Challenge information, and felt intrigued. Once I started reading, I had to complete it from start to finish in a single sitting. This was the first site that exposed me to the "screencap plus captions" storytelling style that I've now come to realize is quite popular with Simmers, and it inspired me to start a website doing the same.

Reason for the shoutout: I found this link in @Mightydan 's signature and figured I'd check it out. It's a fun read with great characterization! I love Jessica and Chelsea's interactions and found myself laughing out loud several times!

Reason for the shoutout: I found the story Hope Terra by chance when I ran across a thread title that intrigued me: "Hope Terra: One Mermaid. One Sailor. One Rock." Admittedly I am a fan of mermaids, so I had to check it out. I've really been enjoying the story and am quite convinced now that the next expansion pack I'm going to buy for my Sims 3 game will be Island Paradise!
If you have any favorite Sims stories, please take the time to give them a shoutout! All shoutouts made through September 7th will be featured on the Stories and Legacies Index in the Monthly Shoutouts section during this month. Any made during September after that will be featured in the Monthly Shoutouts section during the month of October. Thanks! Happy Simming (and reading)!

Reason for the shoutout: I know it isn't very many episodes in yet, but I'm really enjoying this story so far! It's put together nicely, and I definitely find myself getting those "reality TV feels," hahahaha! (I'm rooting for you Rohaya, with Gary a close second!) I also really enjoy the host and her fourth wall jokes at the genre. Thanks to all the Simmers for their lovely creations and input and the author for compiling everything in such an intriguing manner! I'm looking forward to the next episode!

Don't feel shy to leave a shoutout if you have a story you enjoy that you would like to recommend to others! I'll get lonely if I'm the only one leaving them every month. ^_^;;
In any event, I have another shoutout to make!

Reason for the shoutout: This story is absolutely hilarious. It's a breath of fresh air to find such a laid back, hands-off approach to the typically hectic 100 Baby Challenge, and the writing in this is absolutely hysterical, making me laugh aloud several times in every part! Maybe it's just my twisted sense of humor, but when the pregnant mother couldn't get herself off the mini-bar and ended up with her first child being Evil and a Light Sleeper, I knew I was hooked!

The Monthly Shoutouts section at the Stories and Legacies Index thread has been updated for the month of October with all the received submissions! Thank you to everyone who submitted a shoutout during the month of September to be featured this month! I know the authors of those stories really appreciate it, and readers of Sim stories love getting the recommendations for new reading material!
Please feel free to start posting shoutouts to be featured next month! All shoutouts posted here during the month of October will be featured at the Monthly Shoutouts section of the Stories and Legacies Index thread during the month of November! You have the entire month to post up recommendations of your favorite Sim stories, so don't be shy, post away!
Still no Shoutouts this month? Well, simply can't let that be! Here are a few, and hopefully I'll be able to get some more reading done and get a few more made before the end of the month. Remember, anyone can leave a Shoutout for a story they enjoy, and all Shoutouts made during the month of October will be featured the entire month of November on the Stories and Legacies Index in the Monthly Shoutouts section!

Reason for the shoutout: Stories come in all forms, and even a video Let's Play can be a dynamic, story-driven experience, as is evidence by The Young'Uns. I love the drama and the slightly more realistic approach to relationships in this series; it feels a bit less "vanilla" than a lot of the other LPs I've seen, and I love every minute of it! I'm always interested in seeing what further developments are in store for the interesting cast of characters TheEnglishSimmer has put together in this story!
