Due to lack of participation and use, this thread has been discontinued. I'd like to thank all those that did drop by back in the early days of the Stories and Legacies Index to submit shoutouts for your favorite stories!

Normally all submissions made in a month will be featured on the Stories and Legacies Index in the Monthly Shoutouts section the following month, but since the archive was set up right at the end of August and I'd like something showcased there during September, any submissions made up through Labor Day (September 7th, 2015) will be showcased during September. Any submissions made after that during September (September 8th onwards) will be showcased in October as per normal.

I'll be posting a few shoutouts this evening, as I've been finding some great stories on here! If you have a story that you enjoy reading, please don't be shy to submit a shoutout for it!

Reason for the shoutout: I remember finding this story by chance in some Google search results on day when I was looking up Homeless Challenge information, and felt intrigued. Once I started reading, I had to complete it from start to finish in a single sitting. This was the first site that exposed me to the "screencap plus captions" storytelling style that I've now come to realize is quite popular with Simmers, and it inspired me to start a website doing the same.

Reason for the shoutout: I found the story Hope Terra by chance when I ran across a thread title that intrigued me: "Hope Terra: One Mermaid. One Sailor. One Rock." Admittedly I am a fan of mermaids, so I had to check it out. I've really been enjoying the story and am quite convinced now that the next expansion pack I'm going to buy for my Sims 3 game will be Island Paradise!

I also really enjoy the host and her fourth wall jokes at the genre. It's a breath of fresh air to find such a laid back, hands-off approach to the typically hectic 100 Baby Challenge, and the writing in this is absolutely hysterical, making me laugh aloud several times in every part! Maybe it's just my twisted sense of humor, but when the pregnant mother couldn't get herself off the mini-bar and ended up with her first child being Evil and a Light Sleeper, I knew I was hooked!

Reason for the shoutout: I absolutely loved the idea of playing a legacy about three sisters, but each one lives in a town that exists in a different Sims game. How creative! I've only ever seen stories written using a single game, so it is quite refreshing to see a story being told using three different Sims games, and I'm loving it!
