This build was inspired by Gianni Versace's mansion courtyard area. Ok this build is now more within the budget constraints of the Build N' Share challenge Novelist. Enjoy!
Sorry for my Sim being in the way of some of the pics. She is a bit of an attention hog!
To see more detailed photos of the build, please click on the link to check out a slideshow. Thanks!
Oh, nice, the patterning in the bottom of the pool is lovely, and I like the circle of lights in the courtyard area. And the flooring ... that's the pebbly texture that's supposed to be a roof texture but which functions exactly like a floor finish, isn't it? It looks just like terrazzo! I wonder what more you'd have done if the budget were unlimited ... I can only guess that you might have put up some sort of wall or fence around the space? Or maybe some sort of planted border instead? Inquiring minds want to know!
I rather wish that I'd reserved the first comment of my showcase thread when I made it, as you did; but then, that thread had originally been just to announce a single build to the forum. The reserved first comment gives you space to put up an index of works when you've got enough stuff showcased, so smart move there.
Forgotten Mill Vineyard was built for the Under Renovation Challenge. The shell was built by Zita1966. I was a judge that week so I didn't get to compete. But I couldn't help but decorating the house anyways. I wanted to share it with you all because there are some special elements to it that I really love! ( My little dream home....) Oh and just thought I'd throw out there that I NEVER use CC/ or Mods!
I especially LOVE this LONG dining table with tons of room to entertain friends and family while looking out at the vineyard....(SIGH!)
Is that a barrel full of flowers?! You betcha your Simlish lil' buns it is!

This house was built in Granite Falls so that you can invite people to go on vacation with you, hence having guests! So of course I needed to have guest rooms to accomodate the company. As well as a guest bathroom for each. So rooms are stocked with towels and baskets of essentials:)
Bedroom 1:
Bedroom 2:
Bedroom 3:
There are 4 baths in the house all decorated the same:
@Xinqun yes if I had an unlimited budget I would have put up a fence and there would have been ALOT more landscaping and more decorative items inside as well.

Sorry friends that I haven't updated this thread in awhile! Been really busy building for all the competitions here on the forums. I should have a short lull tomorrow so I will attempt to get some new pics up for your enjoyment. TTFN
Thank you for the comments about my Gnome Collector! I thought since he was getting so much attention right now, I would give him a little Spotlight moment!

It is nice seeing pictures of Gnome Collector wearing his different outfits for each clothing category.

The sim and his home go well together
This week I chose to make Johnny Zest and his new wife Penelope Pizzazz love their new home. The third floor of this modern swanky build is actually the ENTIRE Slipshod Mesquite trailer. I upgraded the trailer a little but tried to still keep Johnny's over all influence of the place. The rest of the home is modern, posh over-the-top. There are 2 extra bedrooms for children should they decide to have them, a relaxation room for Penelope, an office for Johnny to write his jokes, the master has a roof top terrace that is set up to be romantic and private, the old trailer has been converted into an inlaw suite, in the basement is Stage Fright (Room In Gallery), Tiny Town Playroom (R.I.G.) and Brick Spa Bath (R.I.G.) out back is a luxurious covered gazebo where Penelope likes to teach Johnny how to meditate and this whole meditation area is surrounded by a really fun designed pool.
