Hey I just downloaded this game today and I was ready to play but when I press play it starts closes immediately and I get this message ''Sims 4 stopped working.'' I've tried everything but nothing works. I could really use your help now.

Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair.
Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game
If the issues remain after doing these things , could you please post your DxDiag info here.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
After you have saved your dxdiag info on your computer, go to the pastebin site https://pastebin.com
and copy/paste the dxdiag info into the white box there. Press the button to create the new paste/pastebin text file.
Then post here in this thread the web address of your dxdiag info that is on the pastebin site. You will need to replace the http in the address with h.t.t.p as you are a new member and can’t post links.
Hello @TervaKissa
Do you only have the one hard drive in your laptop?
I am going to ask @phoebebebe13 to have a look at your DXDiag information when she comes onto the forums ,as the rest of the computer specifications will run the game well, but I am a little concerned about the low hard drive space.
There may be issues of you running out of hard drive space quickly. This could cause issues with the running of your game. I will see what Phoebebebe13 thinks as well, when she comes onto the forums.
Your hard drive could become an issue if you choose to purchase this game. You seem to only have one small hard drive. The rest of your computer specs meet requirements . The demo is far smaller than the actual game with add ons as far as taking up hard drive space.
PS people need to be careful when buying a gaming laptop. Many of them are installing small hard drive space which makes it hard to game on. it is not advised to put this game on an external hard drive. We recommend having at least a 500 gb hard drive or more installed in your computer. Having only one 256 gb ssd can be problematic
OK I'm very frustrated with my game, everything even my computer is up to date and every time i try to open TS4 it doesn't say anything and origin opens back up

Hello @KactiGamez
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there.

Hello @xya
If you have cc/mods in your game, move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.
If you still have issues, try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game

you need to make sure the game is using Nvidia and not intel. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/776882/sims-4-and-switchable-graphics-how-to-nvidia-amd/p1
