I was wondering if someone could help me out with my problem:
For christmas I got some new parts (motherboard, cpu and a SSD hard-disk) for my computer and swapped the old ones for them. Of course I had to install the operating system and all the software again too, so everything should be really fresh
But after downloading The Sims 4 via Origin and installing it again, I got the error message "The Sims 4 has stopped working ...." and the game would not start. This struck me as very odd, because, like I said, everything on the computer was in "virgin" condition.
I then tried it in x32 mode which worked perfectly. But since I have an x64 system, it would really be a pity if I couldn't play the game on it!
So here is my dxdiag report, I am hoping that someone can decipher the problem with it:

@rosemow User reikacitro's computer meets all recommended requirements. Their hard drive space is ok too. They are unable to use the 64 bit version of the game and the game will only run for them in 32 bit. Do you know what would cause this? Thanks
I would be really happy if someone could help me out here
Thanks,
reikacitro
Hello
Sometimes some computers work better at 32 bit mode than at 64 bit mode. With your computer working well at 32 bit mode, it is best to use that mode.
Try also seeing if turning off origin in-game whilst in 64 bit mode may help to allow you to use 64 bit mode. To do that, go,to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game
Regarding turning off Origin in game - that unfortunately didn't work out for me either.
Of course I can always play in x32 mode but that's rather unsatisfying since I got myself an x64 system for a reason
So there is really no solution for this or even a possible explanation? I would really like to understand it
Thank you guys!
Hello @reikacitro
It is sometimes hard to know why some computers can't run the 64 bit mode of sims 4. It is just best to use the setting that the game works best with.

Your welcome. Like rosemow stated it's hard to know why some computers can't run the 64 bit version of the game. Running the 64 bit version will just use up more computer ram. The 32 bit version can only use 4gb ram. You have 8gb. This leaves you with 4gb ram to run windows, origin and other programs that need ram too.
I seem to be having a similar problem. Okay, so i've tried EVERYTHING i can from uninstalling then installing to getting rid of CCs/Mods. So here's my problem. I can start up TS4 just fine, but it goes through the EA and Maxis logos, gets to the TS4 logo, it loads and the whole '@2014 Entertainment yadada' thing pops up, but then it freezes and i try to click and it comes up with 'The Sims 4 has stopped responding' and i have no choice but to close the window down.

Hello @ANON112
I am sorry that you are having this issue.
If you haven't done this already, move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and see if the issues remajn.
Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated.
Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or "options" file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.Test the game between placing back each folder
Try switching back to 32 bit mode and see if that helps. To do that ,
Go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture.
Click on “Game Properties”. Click on Advanced Launch options.
Change the “When launching this Game” setting to “The Sims 4 32-bit”
Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go,to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game
My Sims game WILL NOT WORK. I dont know how many things I've tried, including 1. Repairing the game 2. Factory reset I ng 3. Run as adminstration 4. Turned off origin in game, and tutorials 5. Ran with and without lap top mod 6. Changed to 32 bit system 7. Updated computer, graphics card too 8. Took out mods , all Mods! And ran it 9. Changed computers both HP windows 10 10. Turned all my graphics down 11. Took out saves, deleted cashe files deleted crash files My last notebook laptop did not work well with the Sims it crashed sometimes, I thought it was the space because I tried everything to make it work it crashed sometimes an hour into the game so I changed to a different lap top with larger space, now the game won't even run 10 minutes without crashing saying its stopped responding. Doesn't do this on building mode or even create a Sim mode just during the game play itself. Please someone help me I'm so confused .

Hello @DjDajonnette
I am sorry that you are having this issue
Try playing the game in windowed mode and see if that helps
Sometimes having a large amount of items in the sims inventories and household inventory can cause issues. Try removing some of the items from the inventories and see if that helps
If the issue still remains after doing that, could you please post your DxDiag info here. It will take multiple posts.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
Then copy and paste the information from where you saved it, to here in this thread.
Or you could copy and paste the information to pastebin https://pastebin.com
and post the link to the file here

The game requires a mid range gaming desktop. I suspect your computer does not meet requirements to run the game. Can you post your computer specs please
Windows Key + R key will open your run box in the lower left hand corner of the computer. You type DxDiag in the run box. Hit ok let it load and then save. You can then choose where to save. I usually choose Desktop. If you don't choose where to place it, I think it will save to documents which is the first option. You then open the text file you saved and you can upload it to pastebin https://pastebin.com/ than post a link to your pastebin here

Thank you for your answers!

Try starting the game in windowed mode

4. Turned off origin in game, and tutorials
5. Ran with and without lap top mod
6. Changed to 32 bit system
7. Updated computer, graphics card too
8. Took out mods , all Mods! And ran it
9. Changed computers both HP windows 10
10. Turned all my graphics down
11. Took out saves, deleted cashe files deleted crash files
My last notebook laptop did not work well with the Sims it crashed sometimes, I thought it was the space because I tried everything to make it work it crashed sometimes an hour into the game so I changed to a different lap top with larger space, now the game won't even run 10 minutes without crashing saying its stopped responding.

You then open the text file you saved and you can upload it to pastebin https://pastebin.com/ than post a link to your pastebin here
Hello
@phoebebebe13 will advise you about your notebook .
