Well, there was a bonus item (Msubi Hunter, which was exactly one of the items I wanted to avoid by not bying the build/buy boxes), I feel kinda cheated though since I thought the five items by themselves were supposed to be more than 300 sp worth? And I really thought you'd get bonus items with CAS items in them, this doesn't make sense at all to me.
This is one thing that also confuses me. Though I am the opposite from you in that I did not want any CAS stuff, so I bought the Deco boxes, and still ended up with bonus items like a single hair or a single shirt. Mixing the two, while selling them as Deco boxes or CYS boxes was kind of crummy.
On the other hand I am still pretty happy with Goodie boxes in general. However one thing I would love to know is:
Has anyone received a world in their goodie boxes that was not Hidden Springs? I looked through the thread, and unless I missed something (which is possible) it seems that the only world that anyone has received is Hidden Springs. And everyone who has received Hidden Springs already owned it? :?:
Someone please tell me I am wrong. Tell me you have gotten a world that was not Hidden Springs, or at least tell me that you got Hidden Springs but didn't already own it.
I am very curious, since I am thinking about buying more goodie boxes later in the week, and I would like to dream that other worlds are indeed possible to get.

It's not really all that clear but it is in the Goodie Box FAQ
You may also receive one or more bonus items from any category in The Sims 3 Store.
So as you can see if you purchase a box from the CAS you WILL get items from CAS but your bonus can come from any category at all. And if you buy a deco box, you will get deco items not CAS items, but the BONUS item can come from any category.

I got three items for date night which I already owned from humble bundle.
I got every item I didn't own in Diva and Divo, and then also got the set as a bonus, but I would have owned every item in it if it counted the bought goodie box items before the bonus.
I also got the Savvy Sellers Collection and the titanic toy machine.
Not sure how I feel about this, on one hand its really excellent stuff to get and now I can play with that stuff without buying midnight hollow, on the other, I really think midnight hollow is beautiful and was planning to get it at some point and now I wont because ill feel like its not worth the cost given that I already have the premium content.

I wasn't planning on getting any of the goodie boxes, but after reading through every post here, I couldn't resist, and decided to try it out.
I bought the 3+1 set of the Home Decor.
To be completely honest, every single thing I got in the goodie boxes are items I would never purchase myself. But I am hoping that with these items, I can change up how I play Sims a bit so I step out of my comfort zone / habits of play.
Here is everything I got!

Those of you who "contacted EA" - how did you contact them? I'm doing a live chat and they are refusing to do anything about my duplicate items that were not bonus items.
So, I decided I might as well try out the CAS goodie boxes too (I decided to use the money I was supposed to spend on mani/pedis with a few friends on Simpoints I'm sure they'll understand...).
Got the 3+1 set, and this is what I got!
Easy-going Top (Bonus)
The Alex (Bonus)
Viva Las Vegas Living (Bonus)
Rocket Johnny's Retro Ride (Bonus)
Musubi Hunter (Bonus)

I am generally pretty happy with these items! Some of them, I would never consider getting, and some of them, I had wanted but decided not to spend the Simpoints on them. The Viva Las Vegas Living was a very nice bonus.
I love the goodie boxes, if EA left them up all the time I swear that I would be flat broke. Lol!
Before this last round of goodie boxes I had already owned one hairstyle, the clown painting and the chocolate fountain from the Le Cirque Celebration set and today I received two more dresses and a hot tub from the set, I looked at the Le Cirque Celebration page and was surprised to see that I could download the rest of the set for free thanks to CYS.
I also received the Three Lakes set in a goodie box (before that I had downloaded the cowplant springy toy because it was a weekend freebie) I was also surprised to see that I could buy the cowplant arcade game and the cowplant for 95 Simpoints (not free but almost!)
I was able to get a 2000 simpoints credit for my duplicate Hidden Springs. I first did a live chat. They gave me a reference number. Then I did the have a rep call me option. I was on the phone on hold for approximatly 1 hour, but for the 2000 simpoints it was well worth it. I spoke to 3 reps (including the live chat). All 3 were very nice and understanding and willing to work with me.
We have reviewed the issue with customers receiving Hidden Springs in Goodie Box when they already own it and have resolved the problem. We apologize for the inconvenience. For the customers who have reported a claim with Customer Service in this thread, please be patient as we work with the Customer Service team to handle refunds on your Goodie Box purchases.
I'm glad this is getting resolved but it's not really fair to get 300 points back at box cost when other customers with this problem were able to swap out with other worlds :? A little disappointed that this is happening consistently with customer service. We all paid the same amount for our boxes and should get the same resolutions.

very true
this is problems that often happen... EA really need to make a standard... either 1 or the other....
this goes for other cases aswelll.
I think the fair thing to do would to let every one that got this problem swap for an other world/set... not give the points but simply manually make the swap on the account..... ad a random not ownded set or a world to all with this problem (I know it can't be the same... but..)
I bought 3 of the 1500 sim point packages yesterday, all house decor items.
I was sorely behind in store purchased items so I am pleased with what I received. In just 12 bonus items, I received items that were worth triple the points I spent on the boxes.
Some of the bonus items I received:
Island villa set
hibiscus trio
April 2012 compilation
March 2013 compilation
auto-noms auto pet feeder
2 hot tubs
rim rocking basketball hoop
mid century modern bedroom set
old town starter kit
storybook bathroom set
regal living room set
Regular items were lamps, chairs, beds, etc. I did get a few pieces of clothing and a couple of men's hairs as bonus items as well, but nothing really great there. I don't think I got too much that duplicated things I already had, perhaps some of the set stuff.
No worlds for me, but I did very well in any case, in my opinion at least.
If I didn't feel the need to curtail my spending I'd happily get more goodie boxes.
A single 300pts box just to see....
(couldn't resist)
Tiki coffee table
Williams sconce
Slab o'Wood Barstool
Oceana Orb lantern (ceiling light)
Aces High Bookcase
Variegated Ceramic Vase
Le Cirque Esprit (bonus Item - Hot Tub)
Not great but not awful. Not sure how much they would have cost as they now just show as 'download' and there is nothing there that would be a mainstay of my games. Not even close. I guess the hot-tub makes it decent value but it really is a gaudy looking thing (!!!).
No worlds, no premium item stuff that others had reported getting.
If you think you'll always get at least something nice and valuable as a bonus in these goodie boxes, especially if you get multiples, think again. I got the 3+1 CAS boxes today, and here were my four bonuses:
The Alex - a 100 simpoint short men's hairstyle, because I needed another short men's hairstyle (not)
Knitted beanie - a 100 simpoint men's beanie, because I needed another men's knitted hat (really not)
Temaki bar - a 125 simpoint bar, because I needed another bar (really really not)
Scene in Four Parts - a 100 simpoint painting I've always thought an unattractive **** brown mess
That's it.
I know I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up for a world, since the only one reported on here (despite a world being the bonus example shown on the goodie box page) is people getting Hidden Springs who already had it. Most people on here have gotten at least one decent set, or something worth more than 125 simpoints as at least one of their bonuses, though. Well, not me this time. I thought the payoff for risking getting a bunch of things you didn't choose to buy in the Store was at least getting a lot of simPoints' worth of stuff, or at least something expensive and cool. I'm not feeling the payoff. Blehhh.

It's not really all that clear but it is in the Goodie Box FAQ
So as you can see if you purchase a box from the CAS you WILL get items from CAS but your bonus can come from any category at all. And if you buy a deco box, you will get deco items not CAS items, but the BONUS item can come from any category.
