If you're really that torn, then I would suggest sending it back and purchasing the game digitally through origin instead, that way you can actually play it and still have the option to refund if you are unsatisfied.
I recommend that you watch some Let's Play videos on youtube. I don't own the game because I am a mac user, but watching other people play it has given me a better idea of what my own experience with the game would be.
I really enjoy reading both sides of the argument, so thank you for another positive response. I've heard a few people say that you can go into options and switch to Sims 3 camera controls if you're having trouble.
This may be a bit far-fetched, but I've always wanted a PRE-Teen life stage. I feel like the jump from Children to Teen is a little too wide. Imagine having Babies, Toddlers, Children, Pre-Teens, Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders... The animation team would probably die.
Wow. I'm warming up to TS4 through all the little details I'm learning about. Sadly I can't play it for myself until a mac version is released, but at least by then I'll know what I'm in for.
Yeah, from what I've seen from gameplay videos, it definitely has the best base game clothing hands down, which is nice because it means that hopefully EA can put more focus on adding gameplay rather than clothing in the first few expansion packs.
I wonder if the outcome of the cake is affected by the sims' cooking skill. It'd be really cool if a sim with a higher skill could make nicer and more extravagant cakes!
Add that to the list of disappointments. @SimGuruGraham tweeted this previously... At the risk of opening myself to a flood of questions that I can’t answer, I’d like to clear up one common misconception I keep seeing. Being in proximity of color does not impact a Sim's emotions. Being in a blue room won't make your Sim…
Awww, that is so cute! The biggest aspect of the sims for me has always been creating families, so it's nice to see that the children are more like little people with real personalities in TS4 rather than little drones that go to school, sleep, eat, and occasionally play with a toy or two.
So many valid points! I haven't played the game because I am a mac user, but honestly even if I had a PC, I wouldn't buy it. It's clear just from reading reviews and watching gameplay that the game is completely rushed and unfinished. I would have rather waited another year and had a better game produced, but alas, EA…
