  • I loved Sim City on Super NES and I only got a computer back in 1994 just so I could play the sequel, Sim City 2000. I bought ALL of the Maxis "Sims" games released in the 90s after that. One day I was walking through Best Buy and saw a title called "The Sims by Maxis" on the shelf with some people on the cover. I…
  • Put a floor tile under the outside puddle and then your Sim can mop it up.
  • I got bored with Sims 4 and have gone back to Sims 2 actually.
  • Also wanted to add my thanks to Carl and your team for running probably one of the most useful Sims informational sites out there. I go to your site before the wiki!
  • I got my first computer so I could play Sim City 2000 since I absolutely loved Sim City (that I played on Super Nintendo). I have always been a fan of Maxis and their various "Sim" games so when I saw "The Sims" one day on a shelf in a store, I just picked it up. I didn't even know what it was about. I didn't read the box…
  • Yep, @SimMommy05, something similar happened in my game. My Sim self died of old age. Her son ran in from outside to cry but her dear ol' husband, her SOULMATE even, didn't even stop whatever action he was doing in another room when the grim reaper came. The son got a 2 day negative moodlet while the husband never even…
  • Death by flies, Goopy Gilscarbo, digging for treasure in the sand.
  • I know, it's kind of silly, actually. After my Sims wedding, his wife went home as well. I had to go to the neighborhood screen to add her to the household. Also she didn't have her husband's name either. I had to use a cheat to get in the Full CAS mode so I could change her last name! That needs to be fixed!
  • They both are good in different ways. Stalemate for me as well.
  • Pudding faces, Zombies, Curfew Police, the Raccoon, to name a few.
  • 1 . The Chipmunk music that plays when the radio is on and the game speed is 2 or higher. EA, really??? The Music tempo matching the game speed has never happened in The Sims 1, The Sims 2, or The Sims 3. Why now? I am not able to listen to my custom music in game because of this. 2. I can't work on aspiration/job/school…
  • That I can't work on aspirations/job/school requirements for two Sims at a time if they need to be on different lots to fulfill the requirements. For example, my bodybuilder Sim needs to Mentor 15 Sims at the gym. His painter wife needs to paint 5 masterpieces. I can't have her work at home on her paintings while I have…
  • > @Frimlin said: > Yes, just down the road north of the Oasis Spring starter house "Agave Abode" is a group of planters, including one tomato plant. > > Good luck finding it harvestable, though. It's not been for me... yet. It was never for me either. What I had to do was go back once I was had the take cutting/grafting…
  • I like them for the most part. It is reminiscent of Sims 2, however, they appear much too frequently though and the rewards and failures aren't as great as they were in Sims 2. In the Sims 2, I'm pretty sure the chance cards appeared once per career level. Now, I get them practically every day. Also, in the Sims 2, the…
  • I found one (and only one) in Oasis Springs in the neighborhood that has the house called Sandtrap Flat in it. The tomato plant is in a planter box near a picnic area in that neighborhood somewhere.
  • I totally agree. It wasn't like this in any other Sim game. No matter how fast the game was running, the music played at the normal speed. I typically play on the 'Fast' speed (#2). When I do now, all the songs playing on the radio sound like they're being sung by the Chimpunks! I ended up turning the 'Object Music' slider…
  • I love I can move a house around on a lot without having to bulldoze/rebuild it in the spot I really wanted. Multitasking is REALLY nice! A sim with a low social need will walk with their food plate from the kitchen into the living room to chat with a sim who is watching TV. Also, load times are super fast.
  • I play my Sim self and RL (real life) hubby as my Legacy challenge Sims. I give us our true traits and pick the jobs we wish we could have. Our first Sim kid, whether it's a girl or a boy, always always has the traits and aspiration of our RL son. Other than the traits and job, I play my Sim self like any other Sim -…
  • Definitely Bon Voyage. World Adventures is my least favorite Sims 3 expansion by far.
  • EA's Story Progression. I mean for something that's essential, story progression has *never* worked properly for me (can you say Ghost Towns?). I have to play with Twallan's story progression mod to enjoy my game and it shouldn't be that way.
  • Personally, I hope weather is included in the Sims 4 base game. I know a lot of us were surprised when it wasn't in the base game for Sims 3 since fishing and gardening were included (which were key features of the Seasons EP for Sims 2) and many of us were outraged it took so long for them to release Seasons as an EP.…
  • You can only dive at Rocky Reef at level 2. The others will open up as you raise your diving skill.
  • 28 days of summer with rain and fog enabled.
  • I'm having the same problem. It even happens sometimes when I send them out into the ocean as well.
  • Agreed. However, I would like for the gardener to return though.
  • They should do a Bon Voyage/Vacation type expansion instead of World Adventures. I thought World Adventures was the worst of all the released EPs and it had zero replayability.
  • I totally agree with this. There needs to be more diverse hairstyles. I also would like to see more hairstyles with scarves as well. I also agree with the poster who mentioned better men hair styles.
  • I am an adult. I was an adult when the Sims 1 came out. Personally, I think the heart and soul of the Sims franchise left when Will Wright stopped having input in the game. That's why no one loves the Sims 3 like the Sims 2 or even the Sims 1. That's why the magic won't be back with the Sims 4. Sims 4 will be just as…
  • Ok I have mixed feelings about this one. Death by fright was pretty hilarious BUT it used to make me so mad when dearly departed grandma, who loved her family dearly, would jump out and scare the daylights out of and potentially kill her children and/or grandchildren! I don't think my grandma's ghost would come back and…
