I'm surprised to be the only one to vote that it is already not really family-friendly, like I am the only one got game taken away as a kid after failing to stop that one video sequence from TS2 LoL. Anyway, I think the "adult" themes vary greatly. Death, illnesses and misfortunes I consider a must in TS series while some…
I think people try to misinterpret this tweet as it is a question of graphics versus gameplay which makes it easy to portay "people prefering graphics" as "shallow" while it is actually more of a question of caring versus "eh whatevet it will do". Sure, one can cook an ugly dish that tastes maybe even fine but someone who…
I'm only interested in single players that you can actually buy and enjoy offline in the cabin in the middle of the woods at any time afterwards, not some crazy situationship with controlling game publisher.
I 100% will try LBY, but I must say the trailer does not excite me. Reminds me of some of those not-so-high-quality simulators that never even become a finished product. Like, I can see that characters can walk, and kiss, and cook and stuff but nothing that would be actually interesting so far. I do not find characters…
I love Medieval and I'm always for more sims spin-offs. I think It's a pity we only got one during TS3 times cuz there was a lot of them during TS1-TS2 periods. Developers don't seem to be interested doing those funny, experimental spin-offs any longer.
You can "cheat" more days by sending sim to a vacation and use vacation time to improve skills and make friends. Sims don't age during vacations. Plus, after a vacation you can choose a "Industrious" benefit that increases job performance. That is of course if you happen to have Bon Voyage :)
I agree so much with both of you, thank you for saying that. Honestly, in my personal experience the ones who are most eager for so-called adult themes tend to actually be kids and teens. Kind games for adults (meaning they have gameplay complex enough to capture not only kids attention for a long time) are so rare, but…
Medieval and castaway are fine/recent enough for me as they are. I wouldn't mind them remastered but I woudn't care much. I would be really interested in Urbz being remastered though.
I used to play vanilla and lost a lot of saves over the years, so now for TS2 and TS3, I use mods for bug-fixing purposes – all kinds of corruption protection mods, NRAAS Overwatch, etc. So in some sense I use pretty powerful mods but they not exactly to supplement the game. I'm not much into CC with exception of hairs and…
That sounds like an interesting turn of events. Teens may work part-time jobs for some income or do stuff like drawing. It's still challenging but that may be fun.
Wow, that is so cool for how long simmers play with their sims. My saves don't tend to live that long... even my computers die faster. Also, I usually play on a normal lifespan and let my sims die even if I really like them. Recently I started my first save with aging disabled. Gonna see for how long those sims will last :)
I don't hesitate from changing traits if I can come up with a reasonable explanations for a sudden change in personality :) Though if I would be tired of an action itself I would probably use mod to get rid of it as it was already suggested.
I like Reach Golden Anniversary, Own 5 Top-Level Businesses, Earn Money, Max Out 7 Skills and Have 20 Friends because they tend to come naturally to sims with related aspirations. I don't like career related LTWs because they are all too similar and frankly at this point I'm bored with sims who make living by... working…
I don't mind the same themes. Each pack felt and played differently for me in TS1, TS2 and TS3 because bases differed significantly. I do however despise TS4 "experiments" and find them to be the most boring, straightforward and less sandbox of all packs. I also don't want expansions adding areas. I don't wanna having only…
Hello! I'm not completely sure but I never noticed anything like that. Some majors require charisma skill which can be useful but the skill isn't tied to university.
I'm sorry you're dissapointed. Apartments Life is one of my absolute favourites. I like taking a big lot and bulding a little "neighbourhood" on it. What I mean is there are a few homes and a little park with playground so I get my little open world where sims can visit each other without loading screens. My issue with TS2…
If I recall correctly, in TS3 it is possible to place lots not connected to roads (sims walk to them) and there's CaW so theoretically it is possible and had already been done so why not in TS5. Out of premade worlds I think TS3's Dragon Valley (from store) doesn't have car roads. One enhancement to that system that I can…
I'd love it. I wouldn't hope for it though as they don't even provide ways to obtain TS1/2 properly. Mildly related I know for sure that there're people who would be very interested in beta and alpha versions of TS2.
I hadn't used any negative traits for the longest time after TS3 came out, but later I discovered that they're really quite fun. My faves are The Medieval ones, they're the reason that makes me stick to this game despite limited number of quests. I also enjoy that there's a chance to fight sims negative sides and obtain…
Well, I'm not sure about The Sims 4 because I may not played this iteration this year at all, but since OP mentiones franchise as a whole I'd argue that the worst year was 2014. It really felt like 2012's Skyfall lyrics "This is the end." for me haha. They broke one game and moved to something feeling like The Sims 0.5 at…
