Someone posted an image place that I can finally use: ImgBB.com. It's more like the old Photobucket site that I used to use "back in the old TS2 days." However, I did use a password I've never used anywhere else, just in case! Now I too have a way to post photos to the forum. Not that I do screenshots that often, but it does look like fun. Especially all the "honeybee" shots that people have been posting in the "Honeybee Party".

  • I just wish that there had been more moderation of the chat. I saw some things being taken down but not all the toxicity. I wish people would realize that even if something isn't to your taste, it doesn't mean that it isn't something that *others* have been begging to have. So many people saying "this isn't masculinity"…
  • Welcome back!!! I hope your vacation was lovely!
  • Agreed. They should follow the rules and release it for free within the EA rule time frame. But they should be able to have the early access time.
  • A mod on Patreon can be free as well. They're allowed to have it as "early access" for a fee (as Luthienrising has mentioned.) But why shouldn't making mods be a career? There are many who go by EAs rule to only charge the short "early access" fee and still are making a real life money as a "career."
  • They always do. That's because S4S when first released doesn't have the "valid digital signature" and since it's an executable, it can infect your computer if it wasn't what we know it is. I was able to download it yesterday and all my "virus" indicators said it was ok, so for a change I didn't have to fight with it to get…
  • You need to read the first page on this thread again: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/993732/broken-updated-mods-cc-sept-21-spa-day-refresh-patch/p1 It specifically says that no mod which not "T for Teen" can be commented upon. That means only "SFW broken mods"! And it also is very clear about how you are to go…
  • I like the TS4 aspirations much better than the ones from the past. I know that in real life I've had many big aspirations. I don't want my Sims to be more limited than that like they were in TS3. It seems wrong to lose work on one aspiration when you switch to working on something else. I use aspirations all the time. I…
  • Have you asked on the S4S forum? I often find that when I have problems with S4S that I find others have already posted answers on there.
  • Aren't you afraid that they'll make it very much "not period-correct"? I didn't care for Sims Medieval because I have too much knowledge about the Middle Ages and I couldn't see it as being representative. And I certainly can't enjoy what the modders and CC creators have done that were supposedly "Medieval." (I love what…
  • People don't owe us that. She wasn't even active over on her own Discord until the Twitter thing came up. But Discord would have more information than you'd ever get here. (Her Discord is open to everyone. You might sign up over there so that you can keep up better.)
  • DLCs are necessary for me so that I can pick and choose what features I want to have in my game without having to resort to mods. I almost wish that they would divide things up more. For instance, I only have Vampires because I wanted the buy/build and CAS. I wish that I could have gotten them without the Vampires…
  • I did that several days ago but have heard nothing (even though I sent it to multiple Gurus.) Sigh.
  • No one is suggesting that they be completely removed. People are asking for a toggle so that they can choose to turn it off. And it's unreasonable to expect someone to "disable the EP" when there are so many other far more important things in the EP. What's surprising is that you bought it *for* the abductions.
  • As much as I wish people hadn't brought this thread back to life, it has shown that people are still upset about the fact that we *still* have no toggle to turn off something that can be so triggering to people. However, if you really are upset that something is "against the rules" the way to handle it is to report the…
  • If you've already tried taking out all your CC and deleting the cache files, as well as doing a reinstall, then AHQ technical section would be a place to get help for this. It doesn't sound like a mod problem at this point.
  • Agreed. If someone wants the other things in the "suggested" pack, then it should have a different main theme than another primarily "water" pack.
  • If it's not for public consumption and is only for the one commission, why would someone need to release it? What they are trying to prevent with the TOU is someone who has ongoing access for their creations but is expecting to continually get paid for it. A one time payment is not the same thing. (And if it was something…
  • I'm so happy to see this feature back. With the previous Community Manager gone, I was afraid that it would mean the end of it. I love seeing all the "Friday highlights"!
  • Interesting. That's not my take on how they plan to do it at all. Definitely not MMO type. I suspect from every description they've given and all the "hirings" that we think are related to TS5 that it will be handled more like Minecraft where you can play the game single from just buying the basegame and any DLCs, but if…
  • They would have exactly the same time period. And the professional advertising for this lists PC/Mac and all the various console platforms.
  • I sincerely doubt that anyone *could* be banned here for things they said on social media if they were unrelated to the game. It's hard enough for the moderators to know who you are in "real life" let alone what you're called on social media. Now if someone uses their forum name as their social media name (such as on…
  • When I got Sims Medieval, we only had CDs. I did register with EA my CD key and when I got Origin and opened it, I was surprised to find that it already had Sims Medieval listed so that I didn't need the CD to play it. I suspect that there are some coding differences between the old CDs and the downloadable versions,…
  • Won't that prevent the Sims who (once we get the new GP) have their houses being remodeled from developing likes/dislikes for the "interior decorator" to find (so that they can please the client)?
  • I have basically done the same thing. It's been months since I actually used any mod. I always take my CC folder out when a new update comes out and play totally "vanilla" for a time. Once I've read Luthienrising's bug page and find out if the CC I use (mostly clothing, occasional furniture) is going to work, then I stop…
  • I think it depends on how they do it. Minecraft can give us an example of how it can be "online" and "offline" at the same time, *and* protect younger children. It has a 10+ rating (so even younger kids than "T for Teen" can play it.) Yet they have ways of doing online that are still safe. They use "Realms" for instance,…
  • I find this to be a problem with consent as well. I've answered in other threads only to be told that I'm "over reacting." One person even suggested that the "Pollinator" might have been cute and the Sim responded to that while they were "dazed." That's still a lack of consent! Frankly, I don't want my Sims to have any…
  • I'm not sure what you want us to talk about but I have a non-content, non-bug "thing" that I want to mention. The Sims players all have different ideas about what they want in the game. And I think that is a good thing. But it does mean that we need to have options. For example, with TS3 Supernatural, we had the option of…
  • I'm with you on which mods I use. I stick with the "big" ones and the creators who I know update consistently. And frankly, there have been so many changes in the past several months that I haven't added any of my mods. Generally CAS and Buy/Build CC don't get messed up nearly as much by the updates. Buy CC chairs got…
  • I used to play with autonomy on. I was constantly frustrated by them wanting to do things other than what I had planned for them. And mods need to be updated so frequently that I try to have as few as possible (and only from specific mod makers of those that I do have.) Then I tried it with autonomy turned off. I'm *much*…
