  • The value increases for UFO fruit and dragon fruit even when they are still on the plant before being harvested. They also increase in value when you quit the game. The next time you play, they are worth more. If you have the patience, which I don't, selling the fruits individually will also increase the value for each…
  • The Hidden Grotto is the only place to catch batfish and Sylvan Glade is the only place I've caught tilapia. Treefish are supposedly only caught here, but I could almost swear I've caught them outside the Glade. So if you want to fill the fish collection you will have to go to the Hidden Grotto at the very least.
  • I always buy the cheapest things so they break more often and my sim can build his handiness skill.
  • The last patch screwed up a lot of things in my game. I'm lucky if I get post cards or elements in the mailbox. I haven't gotten any of the rare MySims trophies or the last one I needed before the patch. It's really quite annoying.
  • Yes, it keeps it on all the time. Makes life a lot easier.
  • If you have your sim stop working out for a while, he will lose his muscle definition and overall size. I have more trouble with my sims keeping their muscles than losing their muscles.
  • I never had a problem with getting the elements until the last patch. The last time I sent some crystals and metal to the gem council, I never received the elements. I'm also having trouble getting postcards. I've collected all the elements with other saves so I'm not wasting simoleans on trying to get all the elements…
  • Close to a minute even with a new save and a relatively empty home lot and inventory.
  • If you're wanting the rare My Sims trophies, you pretty much have to use the treasure map to find them. As for finding the crystals and metals sometimes it just takes a lot of tries to find everything. I don't believe the Glade has anything but harvestables, fish, and frogs as collectables.
  • For me, my sim has started the incessant drinking again. He also loses access to half his inventory and seems to need micromanagement to keep him away from the frig. And the basement has proven to be a disappointment to because it cannot be built with a foundation. Overall the patch has broken more things for me than…
  • I usually catch a piranha in the pond in Sylvan Glade. I'll have to try these other places as well because my current sim is having a really hard time catching one this time.
  • You don't have to be on the Astronaut career track to find a UFO fruit. All you need is a rocket ship. I've had sims in all different careers and some without any jobs at all find UFO fruit.
  • I actually call TS4 "Pixar Sims" when chatting with a friend about it. Everything about the game is cartoony. Graphics, jobs, skill building objects such as the microscope, observatory and rocketship. Once I accepted the game as the "Pixar Sims" it became more fun to play. I personally hate the graphics, but admit that I…
  • I just checked the Origin site and TS4 is on sale for $39.99 which is only $20 off and not half price. Dragon Age Inquisition is also on sale for $20 off. It just seems like a normal sale at this point.
  • What I have discovered is that I need to be logged on to Origin in order to play TS4, but I don't have to be connected to the internet. In fact, I try to make sure I'm not. I find it quite annoying because I don't want to be logged in to Origin all the time.
  • 1) Sims 1 2) 11-12 years 3) Yes, for half price 4) Meh, for the most part. I don't like the cartoony graphics or the over the top emotions. My in game sims look nothing like they did in CAS when I created them. Some of the animations are fun and I love the rocket ship, but overall it's just so so. Not a horrible game by…
  • It's a matter of personal taste. I still don't like the graphics and I find the sims in game so different than the one I created that it's very annoying. And I totally loathe the actual hair style, although the colors are much better. Close up, most of the hair looks like it has the leaves from the plant sims in S3. But as…
  • I didn't. Maybe once I'm over my hissy fit over the Never Weary reward, I'll check out the Gym Rat reward. It could be awhile, though. :)
  • The Never Weary reward doesn't work at all now. The rate of decay is exactly the same with or without the reward. I tested it out on a new save. Needless to say, I am NOT happy. For me, this pretty much overshadows the cool things that were changed or added.
  • I used to spend at least 50% of my sim time building. I've built a total of two houses. I hate the color tones of the existing colors. Nothing matches. And let's not mention the loss of the terrain tools. Half of my gameplay is gone. Building is no fun anymore. I get the cheap house, plop in a better bed, sofa, and tv and…
  • I'm running both S3 and S4 on the same computer. My S3 game has every ep, most sps, all the store worlds, tons of store items, and lots of CASt saves along with probably 10 to 15 household saves. S3 takes 5 minutes max to load and I have very little lag and the graphics are set to high. So for me S3 has a 5 minute total…
  • Lots and lots of ebooks for my Nook. I'd rather spend my money on things I know I'll enjoy. For all those who are buying the game and are excited about it, I hope it turns out to be everything you believe it will be. And I also hope you will give honest reviews of your gameplay.
  • Nothing very exciting. Your sim gets in and it takes off and goes off screen and you get pop ups telling you what's happening. Or that's what we've been told to date.
  • The game is less than a month before release. Shouldn't it be shipping now or within the next week or so? Far too late to be in beta, isn't it?
  • The video is just from trailers we've already seen. Nothing new I could see.
  • This sort of non-matching wallpapers, siding, curtains, rugs and such is something I expected. EA never seemed to get it right in the other iterations which is why CASt was so vital to me. So this is sad, but not unexpected.

  • I'm just curious. Why are all those looking forward to the game so against TS4 being delayed? I would think you'd want a better game sans bugs. I grant you that even if delayed, nothing now missing would be added to the game, but they would have the opportunity to fix bugs and glitches. And I definitely wouldn't trust EA…
  • Possible? Yes. Graham said it was possible to add toddlers and pre-teens. Probable? Doubtful. Had there been plans to add toddlers, Graham would have said so at the time. My personal opinion is that saying toddlers could be added at a later date was an attempt to appease those simmers who were angry at losing the toddler…
