Ok, so I had no luck. Will try starting up the game with a few mods taken out at a time, to see which one/ones may be causing the conflict, as it happens in other worlds too
I couldn't agree more. I've been playing games from the Sims series (including lesser known titles such as SimTown, SimTower, SimPark, SimSafari - I could go on and on) since I was 8-9 years old. This means that I've been a fan of EA/Maxis for 20+ years, and I didn't want one bad experience marring my overall opinion of…
Telltale's The Walking Dead Telltale's Game of Thrones This War of Mine Town of Salem Love Live The Queen Broken Age (can't wait for Act 2 to drop at the end of the month!)
Ok, so as Joleaco predicted, EA stated that because only the base game was covered by Origin's Great Game Guarantee, I only received a refund for the base game. "However," as the customer rep who emailed back also states, "....since you are not planning to play the game, we don't think you should have to pay for something…
I still don't think it's right. I can't use the game pack or expansion pack without the base game. That's like having a keyboard, mouse and monitor but no actual PC. Without the computer, the other items are unusable. Ergo, I feel that they need to rethink this.
Thank you. I also made brief inquiries on the EA and the EA Support Twitter pages about how to contact them regarding questions about a dispute. Next will be Facebook, and then...well I don't know, really. But I do want them to acknowledge this, not sweep it under a rug.
Alright, so I tried playing the game without any mods installed (I had Nraas, Consort, Ingejones, just to name a few, only to have the game crash each time during start-up. Tried to take out a few mods at a time to figure out the problem mod/mods by process of elimination, but game still continued to crash. Left everything…
What internet browser are you using? I had similar problems when using Google Chrome but then when I switched over to Internet Explorer, I was able to download things from the website again (although it was strange considering that prior to this, I had always downloaded things from GC).
Noticed something else in the game so I figured I'd mention it. When in Build/Buy Mode and when you Shift-Click the professional and professional dive bars, there are options to select the shifts for the bar. This was an option that appear in Island Paradise as you could choose how much access your resort guests had for…
Do you have Seasons? If so and you're also playing during the fall/autumn season, that was most likely the game's way of telling you that "today is the Spooky Day holiday". Nothing to be alarmed about. However, if you don't have Seasons installed, then you might want to exorcise your computer. ;-)
So I created a family from scratch about two days ago for a machinima I'm making, and while playing the household, I noticed that the mother of the family is always dressed wherever she takes a bath/shower. She doesn't have the Never Nude, Inappropriate or Insane traits and depicted below is the outfit she dons when she's…
1.Option to set parties and plan vacations several days in advance. 2.Ability to swim not only at the beach but in lakes and fishing holes. 3. Ability to purchase or rent a boat/canoe and then go out on lakes and at the beach. Can also fish from a boat. 4.Sims can engage in party or group games like Charades, Musical…
You know I forgot that Sims can get plastic surgery now. That's actually not a bad way to segue the means for our Sims to need to hire a lawyer. And I can see what you mean about using the city hall as opposed to a courthouse or law firm. Now regarding Pets, I had heard that Sims could get self-employed as a sort of…
1 & 2: Yes and Yes. Why one if not both of those weren't included along with Pets I'll never understand. 3: Interesting. I guess you meant for this one to work like how the professions work? 4: Yes. I tend to give my Sims careers that cater to their traits and/or skills, so an IT career could work nicely with the more…
C'mon. :hunf: You're telling me that you guys have NO input on what kind of features and objects you want to see in the game when it comes to new careers, new skills and schooling :?:
Ok, so I've been away from the forum for a little while and I come back to see that we have a new casino venue and with it 2 new gambling objects in the store! Now all I have to do is add the other casino themed objects from the store and I can make a more realistic casino.
Welcome to the forums, Mike. Keeping my fingers crossed that we see some if not all of the ideas from your post implemented into the game somehow. I always wanted to have one core family that I play living in one neighborhood and their extended family and some of their friends who live and visit from other…
Yes that are. However, I think though what the OP is getting at is the "rapid" way our Sims age up. The way it is now, toddlers immediately jump to school-aged kids who then jump to teenagers. Hopefully in TS4, additional age groups like pre-teens (between child and teen), seniors (between adult and elder) and an age group…
I am SO bookmarking this. I have wanted to be able to add my own Mp3s to the games existing radio stations since Day 1. That and being able to create a custom station/playlist like you could in TS2.
It's nice to see others out there that want to see more features, objects and lots relating to having fun. I had made a thread about this not to long ago so feel free to take a peak and leave a comment. Maybe we'll get lucky and see a few of our ideas in a future expansion.…
Interesting concept, but I'm not too sure how many would go for it. Frankly I used to play SL a lot, but lost my interest in it due to the constant lag and crashing. Plus if they integrate online/multi player features with what in the Sim series already or what people want to experience (think about the problems that comes…
Don't feel silly. It was the thought that counts. Sadly though as Jarsie has pointed out, all it would take is several trolls to start abusing the new feature and then everyone will start clamoring about that. :?
Come to think of it, there was also gambling (bingo parlors, casino resorts) in SimCity Societies/Sim City Societies: Destinations, and those games were rated E10+
