No you won't be able to. Your saved game is a modified version of the world, the original world will still be what shows up in the drop down menu. Try resetting the sim. Open the cheat bar by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+C. Type in "resetsim firstname lastname" (without quotes of course). Press enter. I read a post where someone had this issue and resetting the sim seemed to work.

I would say... Seasons and Late Night for now. The others are pretty much hometown based, but Seasons and Late Night can be easily incorporated into the University town.

Well, I haven't had a sim eat coffee beans yet, but each herb has an effect on them. So I'm guessing that the coffee beans will give them energy. Ginsing also gives them energy. I haven't played a plant sim yet, but from reading the in-game guide, have you tried having the plant sim take a bath? Or go for a swim? That SHOULD fill the water need, if not it's a glitch.

No, they were just a decor object. If you watch, you'll probably see one in the towns you have in your game. They just randomly float by, you can't click on them or anything. It's like the pigeons and other birds.

You should still try. You may not be able to run all of the packs, at least not at highest graphics settings, but they should still run enough to play. If you have Supernatural, the bookcase door comes in really handy. Also, if you have spiral staircases you can fit the entrance into a smaller space.

Definitely basements. Don't make just a rectangular box house, give it some shape. Maybe have a smaller but taller section in the front, and have the rest extend into the back of the lot.
