The home is lovely @LeucosiaX Very nice exterior design and great balconies. The rooftop loungers sitting and hot tub patio is very nice. The outdoors steps are great.
@MillerMeteor Your restaurant is a very interesting idea! I tend to end up making builds that are kind of expected in a given world, so I would never have thought of this, but it looks so good and realistic, and it makes sense that sims would want to enjoy international cuisine! I love the rooftop terrace. 100% following you on the gallery from now on. I took a look and I admire how you build in so many different architectural styles.
@MillerMeteor your Japanese restaurant looks gorgeous, I especially like the roof terrace
thank you all for your kind comments! The terrace idea came at the end of the building of the restaurant. I didn't want it to look strange as it's basically a "normal" commercial building, so I tried to keep it discreet.
@SerraNolwen I see what you mean. I think you understand my approach with Oasis Springs because you're rebuilding San Myshuno, so you need to adapt yourself to the local style. For example, your lot is very much corresponding to what you'd find on the San Francisco pier. In fact, I think the function you assign to a commercial "base" will depend on what you feel is missing from the map you're playing in.
The Oasis Springs commercial base is super inspiring for this, because it comes from the base game, and at first it was stripped of additional terrain types. It then has become so enhanced that there's a multitude of ideas for commercial lots you could put in it.
In any case, you had an interesting idea yourself by integrating a youth center into this location. And you do it very realistically too !
@LeucosiaX I like this building. Nice forms + the fire stairs on the rear side is a beautiful little detail.
@luckyheather I like your cabin. It could be great as a rental ! Its strong point is its exterior for me. I like the details.
By my side, I've finished the renovation of an Italian restaurant I created over a year ago for Oasis Springs. It's still the commercial area, as I'm in the process of finishing it. The restaurant had one problem: I had totally separated the kitchen from the reception room. As a result, there was no interaction between the cooks and the customers.
I took advantage of the opportunity to make some changes to the decor, update the interior and add some clutter to the upstairs headquarters, without changing most of the layout:
Your Italian restaurant is lovely! @MillerMeteor Very nice and stylish exterior design and windows walls. The outdoors dining side porch is very nice. Very lovely furnishing of the interior dining area and great layout of the dining tables and booth seating. The red, black and brown colours are very nice. The design of the bar counter and drinks wall shelving area is great.
Lately I have been working on making a Mega Church Wedding Venue. It is on the Myshuno Meadows lot which can only be a generic lot but I play tested it as a wedding venue and it works great! Gallery link:Myshuno Meadows Church Slideshow:Mega Church Wedding Venue
Myshuno Meadows Church is very beautiful! @AlJay Very lovely exterior design and the cross bell tower is very nice. The lights look very pretty at nighttime. The fountain and outdoors dining and food stalls area is very nice. The kids play area is great and pretty ducks pond. The interior furnishing is so very beautiful! The platformed wedding arch area and the pretty flowers, greenery, tiered aisle and the angled design of the wedding guests chairs are all very lovely! Very nice library room. The kids nursery is sweet. Very lovely dressing rooms for the bride and groom. The furnishing and layout of the basement banquet room is very pretty and very lovely. The gifts corner is great.
thank you @rosemow@MillerMeteor. I will have to post some interior shots in the spammers thread once I figure out how to stop the cursor from appearing in the screenshots- new issue.
@MillerMeteor Thanks! I'm glad you like the Youth Center. Your Italian restaurant also looks great! I like how you made the roof with the platforms and all the little realistic details you've added.
...open layout with the dining area. This leads to the kitchen.β¨
Part of kitchen #1.
There is a partially separate and partially shared rooftop area that includes an all-season garden and 4-season sunroom.β¨
Your Sims and dogs will enjoy the shared pool in the back yard.
Main floor layout (main living area for each side plus the master bedroom).
Basement layout⦠includes laundry, two bedrooms, family bath, and walkout to back yard/shared pool.
Brick Duplex with walkout is a lovely duplex build! @SheriGR Very nice exterior design and warm brick walls. The chess and garden balcony is very nice. The shared pool is great. The interior furnishing and layout of each duplex is lovely! Very nice colours. The kitchen wall tiling is pretty, and very nice dining chairs in the open plan living and dining rooms. The sunroom is very nice.
@AlJay Your church wedding venue is gorgeous, as always!!<3 Amazing work! I made a church/wedding venue that I also made generic, and it played great for me also as a wedding venue, so I expect generic for the lot type should be great! My thinking is as a generic lot players and NPC's alike can hopefully also use it for meetings/lectures/social/club gatherings and similar purposes. I keep intending to try out clubs for more things, but I know many players use them extensively and love the options. Btw... when I was play-testing my lot with the generic designation, many NPCs autonomously came on the lot and used the facilities ot hang out and enjoy the features I had added on the lot. Vampire NPCs seemed to be particularly present.
@MillerMeteor Your restaurant looks fantastic! I love playing with/owning/running restaurants with my Sims, and a nice roomy one is just the thing! It looks like a good balance of size and practical layout. Enjoy your restaurant!
(Btw... I love your profile pic/image!!!)
@LeucosiaX Sorry to hear of your babbles with the curser interfering with your screenshots. I was wondering, since it's also showing the 'feet' icon by the cursor, did you try taking pausing the game and going to build mode to take the screenshot?
Your building looks great... very impressive! I find it to be quite challenging to recreate real life buildings very accurately in many cases, so hats off to you!
@SerraNolwen Your youth center looks fantastic! What a great idea! I can see all of those features being available to the community in your game as a great asset to play! I also love the location on the waterside. Well done!
@luckyheather Wow... it's been too long since I was on the room challenge and I have not seen much of your work lately. It's amazing, as always! I want to move into your beautiful cabin irl! Just gorgeous and so homey and cozy!
Your 'Mouse Made Home' is so pretty... and I can't believe you did it without your keyboard!!
@_DelilahsRose_ Your ranch is a lovely combination of pretty, cozy, whimsical, and practical! Very, very nice... and I love the telescope at the barn-loft window... and the awesome wrap-around porch!
Judeβs Ranch is a lovely family ranch home! @illusie The exterior design and roofing are very nice and great wraparound porch. Very nice pool, waterslide and kids outdoors play areas. The greenhouse and gardening area is very nice and great animal shed, barn stable and chicken coop area. It is a lovely detailed home for a family.
@MillerMeteor Your Italian restaurant is so cute! I love the curved roof, it looks so professional. It is beautifully decorated as well. It looks so warm and cozy.
@AlJay Wow, what a beautiful church! It actually looks as grand as a cathedral. It looks so beautiful lit up at night. I love the dining area, the piano behind the altar, and the cake/gift area. Nice use of that gorgeous chandelier!
@SheriGR What a lovely duplex. I love the red brick and the flowered vines climbing the walls. The warm red carried through to the interior is an inspired choice. The whole build is very beautiful.
@illusie What a beautiful ranch! It is so big and sprawling and looks exactly like a working ranch should look. The house is beautiful and I love all the activities for the Sims to do when they're not working hard keeping the ranch running.
@SheriGR Thank you so much for the kind feedback I love the duplex, so creative, cozy, bright & cheery. I love that the pool has two ladders like- dont you dare swim on my side. The living room is very pretty!
The Phantom of the Opera is a very beautiful build! @_DelilahsRose_ The architectural exterior design and the front left and right steps are very great! Very nice fountains. The interior furnishing is very lovely! The stage area is very nice! Very pretty roses and candles, and great background painting. The statues are very nice. Very lovely red elegant seating for watching the stage and the tiers of seating are great. Very beautiful furnishing of each room! The flowers and candles are very nice in each room, and pretty bedroom with beautiful floral canopy bed and candlelit organ.

This duplex can house 4 or more Sims on each side. Each side of the duplex has 3bed/2bath, 3 floors, and there is private space plus s shared sunroom and all-season garden on the roof. The basement walkout leads to a shared pool in the back yard. (Note that the lot loads to the basement level due to the walkout.). Picture creditβ₯ @juwels64 @FruitLoops40 @AlJay @SimSationalToo
