@GalacticGal I will try the flashdrive! Currently all of ours are full...What I did was share them between computers on our network then move them that way from one save file to the other.
I only accidentally discovered that I can stream from one computer to the other, when I left my game going upstairs and went to play downstairs later! And it said "connect" or whatnot. My game does require for me to be logged into the ea app and steam at the same time to play sims 4, which is kinda annoying...but you know.
@fujicakes1 - did you copy your Tray folder or the files within your Tray folder as well?
@Greyling I copied the files and put them in the folder on the other computer. Of course, all of my saves are just the normal numbers given automatically, I usually don't rename them, which I probably should - so the files in the other folder had the same names. I had it automatically rename them...you know, adding the 1 to the names or whatever. Maybe that is the problem?? I honestly am not an expert.

@fujicakes1 - renaming the Save files shouldn’t be a problem (though, it depends a bit on what you rename them), especially if you want to keep the saves from both of your computers on the same computer. Then you actually will need to make sure they don’t have the same save number or the game won’t be able to read them/tell them apart.
But which files did you copy? Did you only copy the files from the Save files folder or did you also copy files from other folders as well? You’ll most likely need to copy the files from the Tray folder as well and add them to the Tray folder on the other computer.
Edit: Actually, on second thought the issue could have to do with how the files were renamed (it might cause problems if they have too many digits or letters. What are the new “names” of the files?

If I remember correctly, Windows (I assume) usually puts a (1) when two files have the same name or something similar. That's more than likely why the game isn't reading your saves. The ones that have the 1 or however Windows renamed it, change those to another number. It should work then.
What happens to the inventories of sims that have been culled from the game? (not killed or sent to the netherworld)
I would assume if they're culled, their inventories get culled as well. I don't know much about culling though. I usually delete randomly generated sims on my own.

Another question lol - a different one. Have any other builders noticed the weird phenomenon of when you are downloading one of your OWN houses, things are not as they should be? Like, rugs are missing, etc? It's very strange, I'm not sure why that is happening for me, but it makes me wonder how things are downloading for other people if they aren't downloading for me correctly.
The only thing I've noticed is somethings the walkway I've put in from the front door to the front gate is off. Gr. After I took the time to painstakingly spray it on so carefully, too. As for missing items, not so much. What really gets me is the pop-up warning me MOO has been used in the building of this lot. I DON'T USE MOO. Ever. If something doesn't fit in a corner, it gets moved.
@fujicakes1 You probably don't care for another person chiming in on this but this is how you are supposed to rename save files:
Renaming Saves
Have a save from before and want to restore it, but there is already a save with that name? Don't know what to do?
1. Open your Sims 4 saves folder, usually found at "C:\Users\[USERNAME HERE]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\saves".
2. Find the save file you want to add. Note the file name. Something like "Slot_00000020.save".
3. In your saves folder, locate the last slot saved. Something like "Slot_00000032.save".
4. With the save you want to add, rename it to a number higher than the last slot, so "Slot_00000020.save" to "Slot_00000033.save" because the last was number 32.
5. Open The Sims 4. Check for the save, it should be by the bottom, but it may vary.

The Tray folder isn't required for save files. It's actually your library. (households, houses, and rooms) saved locally to the hard drive. So you may want to keep those handy anyways as a backup somewhere but it is not required for save files to work.

@fujicakes1 - oh, if the files were renamed with something like (1) as SweetieWright_84 suggested might have happened, then the parentheses will probably cause an issue. You’re better off editing them by following the example SimplyJen gave with just the numbers 😊
What's going on with the forum today? I can't access it on my computer. I just get the "somethings wrong" error message. On my phone, it's in desktop view but I don't have it set that way, and I know I didn't set it. It was fine last night but now it's all weird.

I can't access the forum at all on my phone anymore. It shows up, but weirdly formatted. Maybe it switched from the mobile version to the PC version, but it doesn't even take me to the first unread comment on posts anymore. So now I will have to wait until I can access my desktop to catch up.

You're not alone. A few posts above yours I mentioned a similar issue, and SimplyJen is also having a similar issue. It may just be a bug.

What do you like about it? Just curious... not trying to be nasty. Maybe it's easier to view with a bigger phone screen. Mines pretty average if not smaller. Gives me a headache trying to use the desktop version on mobile.

I guess it's more what I don't like about the mobile version. I don't like that the avatars are visible. It seems like unnecessary clutter to me. It doesn't bother me at all that the entire thread title isn't visible.
ETA: About 80% of my time on the forum is spent on my phone. And it's an average size phone. I only use my laptop for the forum when I'm in game.
