@IdahoGal65 Thanks so much, I will certainly try that. it's being selective and I get the "no packages to install" message. considering my limitations, the house looks pretty darn good lol. I'll screen shot and upload to my studio soon
I've got two versions of 93 Blobfish Path, so I'll put the links separately. This version is the "nice but humble" version. The other one is the "run-down version. Both are "Almost a Starter" ranging in price from approximately 22,000 - 24,000 simoleons. https://thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9566597
Obviously I worked ahead and hoped I'd get to claim that lot on the strand. I was worried about water in the basement if I placed it anywhere else. I didn't play it enough to check for water, wo I should double check that. I did include more pics in the upload because it's a huge, by my standards, house.
Hi @ciane , happy you got the claim you wanted for your build. It looks very lovely from the pics! I havenāt had a chance to add the latest builds in game yet so will circle back later. Your link to The Strand has been added to the lists on page one. šø š
Regarding Custardā¦ you confirmed since youāre using a vanilla game folder (no additional downloads other than EPs / SPs / mods) for building CA lots there wouldnāt be any risk of third-party custom content slipping into someoneās game from these uploads. As such, the planning team agreed this method is a substitute for Custard checking. Of course downloaders can always choose to double-check the lots themselves if desired. Hope youāll continue to build with us š

Hi @Sandraelle , another lovely build from what I see from the pictures. Looking forward to a walkthrough in game later and will circle back. Download and media links for Red Lantern Lookout added to the lists on page 1! šøš

Yay and more great builds for Cape Albacore! @IdahoGal65 , Iāll sound like a broken recordā¦ but you knowā¦ Iāll circle back after a walkthrough later. In the meantime download links to both versions of Almost a Starter have been added to the lists on page 1. šøš
Woot, I think weāre up to date now. If Iāve missed anything just let me know. Hoping everyone is having a good day so far. šø

Hi all! I like to play as well as build, so naturally when I dropped a household from my library in to playtest my first lot, I found myself playing. I like to blog my gameplay, so if anyone is interested, I'll leave the link here. You can filter by labels to get Cape Albacore. My favorite playstyle is kind of a fluid rotational format. I visit who I want when I want and stay as long as I want before checking in on someone else. Story Progression gets turned on and off, and everyone is on high free will. Feel free to check the blog and see who Story Progression placed in your houses and what they are up to. https://sims3addict248.blogspot.com/
Wonderful, thanks for sharing your blog @IdahoGal65 ! I visited and it was such fun reading about the goings-on of the Cape Albacore sims. And my goodness, the in-game pictures look marvelous! I've also added links to your Part 1 and Part 2 CA stories on page 1. Just touch base with the link to the other CA parts when ready. What a lovely way to showcase builds / sims from contributors!
@everyone, I've added a new sub-category for Cape Albacore Stories on page 1. Please feel free to share links to your blogs, stories, etc for happenings in this world.
Also of note... I've updated all the maps to reflect the recent claims, as well as added graphics to better differentiate the sub-sections on page 1.

I couldn't get the run down link to work for me. Think it's because it has 666 in the address? I had to just view @IdahoGal65 's studio and then click on the run-down version. It might just be my browser that didn't like the link (using Brave).
I'm planning to install and play the run down version. It reminds me of @SamelaRita 's renovation challenges, which I love. In fact I just replayed one of hers in Ackney-Upon-Sherne while waiting for the claiming period to open up again.
I loved seeing the world being played already, and I love Sims stories. I also looked around the blog and enjoyed the trip to Scotland posts. ; }
Itās not only your browser @ciane since it didnāt work for me either. I pulled the address directly from the Exchange when I added the link to page 1.
@IdahoGal65 , great job on the 'Almost Starter' homes. The lagoon area is a perfect setting for this house. I haven't had a chance to put them in game yet but wondering which one I will keep in Cape Albacore! And I really enjoyed your blog and reading about the sims and what's going on with them in Cape Albacore. Great to see the sims we have so far interacting with each other and seeing some of the lots so far. Look forward to more.
@soocoolsim, thank you for your nice comments on my Red Lantern Lookout!
@BreeMiles , so good to see you pop in. I do hope you end up joining in with us!
I discovered the bad link too on the run-down version. Glad it's an easy fix!
@soocoolsim, A big thank you for keeping our thread so updated with all the posts, the links, the comments and the maps. We appreciate all your work!!
Good catch on the link @soocoolsim - I see the link looks correct in the post with only one https, but the redirect link that pops up from it has two https's. Strange!
I've already built ahead again and am tweaking colors. I'll move in a sim and do the upgrading and playtesting soon.
@everyone, itās Claiming Day!
Our collab is still open for participation, so lurkers do feel free to jump into the fun!
If youāre now joining the collab or have a claimed build currently in progress, you can claim a lot now.
For ongoing builders, if your first claim is already completed and link submitted, you may claim up to two lots now.
Looking forward to more fab builds!
@ciane, no need to wait to claim. Since your first claim was already completed before claiming day, you were entitled to claim up to two lots on claiming day. Since you just claimed one this period, you can still claim another now.
So basically, if you complete your current WIP (to be claimed) before next claiming day, then you can again claim two lots next time, etc.
The bottom line is that builders donāt have more than 2 claims in progress during each period. I hope that helps clarify š

@everyone, Iāve updated the Claiming Guidelines to match my recent Claiming Day post since I see where the confusion lies. The planning team did recently decide to open up to 2 claims but I forgot to update the guidelines on page 1 as well. š¤Ŗ
CLAIMING GUIDELINES
Take a look at the list of available lots using the āMAPSā section posts below as reference.
Indicate you're on board for the collab and sign up for your first claim by posting on this thread with your chosen map lot reference #.
I will update the list with your claim as well as the download / media links when completed.
Every two weeks (approx the 1st and 15th of the month) a new claiming period starting with āClaiming Dayā will begin.
If youāre now joining the collab or have a claimed build already in progress, you can claim 1 lot.
For ongoing builders, if all previously claimed lots are completed and link(s) submitted, you may claim up to 2 lots..

@ciane , thank you for your lovely comment!
You are absolutely right your library and the civic centre definitely look as if they belong together
The Strand is a most impressive build and looks fabulous in it's place in game. Love that the basement has windows!
A wonderful spacious home with a swimming pool and plenty of parking for the family ... what more can a sim want?
@Sandraelle , Red Lantern Lookout turned out beautifully inside and out! Awesome placement of the 'fjordsnord'!! You have most likely used it before but I've not noticed it ... I will definite steal that idea!
@IdahoGal65 , both Almost Starter homes are great and it will be very difficult to decide which one to place. Although I haven't had the chance to check out the posher one of the two I'm very partial to the more run down version as that definitely fits perfectly into the Lagoon setting!
Thank you so much for sharing the link to your blog. It is always wonderful to see what other simmers sims get up to
@LMC6255 , many thanks for your kind comment on Cape Albacore Civic Center. To use the existing rabbit holes above ground is definitely easier than burying them Can't wait to see what kind of build you will surprise us with
Hi @BreeMiles , how lovely to see you here! I'm so glad you like Cape Albacore, it was a lot of fun to create this world ... But will it inspire you enough to join us for a build or two? š¤

@Hidehi, Thank you dear Heidi! Yes I've moo'ed that particular shelf on many fireplaces/counters/tables before; I'm glad you like the look. Whatever would I do without "MOO"? lol
Hi guys... so the media shots are available in my studio. Only base game and store items used. Period š¤£š¤¦āāļøš¤·āāļømight upload to studio later today. just glad I was able to get that much done honestly.
Here is the link on the exchange. still working on the custard thing but I don't think it is a concern because of recent events. Going to rope my husband into it since I can't figure it out. Honestly feel a bit fried after everything that has gone down. It's taken all the joy I had playing away recently. Wish had could have given you better. https://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9566775

@ciane and @soocoolsim I thought that link looked like it was doubled up. My mouse has been doing weird things lately, one click is like a double click sometimes. I'll fix the link in my post. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
That was #21 / 20 x 20 / Residential / 21 Blue Marlin Parkway, right @fatness1974 ?
I see you added the address in the description in your studio.
I LOVE the gambrel roof! Very nice build with a very playable layout. I look forward to playing with it more.
@ciane :smile Thank u so much with everything that happened to my game I was pretty happy with it. Finally got the roof how I wanted it on the rebuild.
