Look, I'm actually posting for what happened in my game TODAY. Well, it was interesting. Yesterday I did a game repair, to no avail. The Show still did NOT go on. I then did a game folder refresh, this morning. Still problems persisted I decided to exit without saving to check my Mods folder. I removed just a couple of the newer ones I'd installed. Had to go back and remove another folder of cc (which oddly enough, had been in the Mods folder when the Accolades worked the last time). Hey, it's the Sims, right? LOL
All things said and done Erik and Kayleigh went to the Starlight Accolade Show. The only out-of-place thing that went on was the amount of Fans and Paparazzi who ambled into the Event. Who was the Bouncer, and why was he allowing these Sims in? Erik decided, since the one standing there naked in front of the TV camera, was one of his Obsessed Fans, to confront the rude fellow. After some talking and the guy trying hard to plant one on his idol, Erik persuaded him to leave the premises.
Finally, the Show got underway. Megumi Ito won the first award of the night, for being a really nice Sims. Then the Host gave the award out for the Song of the Week. Erik won his nineteenth award in a row for his song, Back of My Mind. Poignant, for a few moments he was without words. His life had been full of tragedy lately. Winning this award put things into perspective and he was warmed by the accolade and humbled at the same time.
At 11:46 PM on New Year's Eve, Corbin went in labor for his 6th child. Of course, he stayed for the countdown with his family before going to the hospital.
My sim's best friend, Makoa Kealoha, died today. He burned to death while making cereal.
How do you burn up making cereal?
All I can think of is it must have been hot cereal. Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, or something on that order. It does seem insane. My Sims have avoided cereal ever since Dirk Dreamer died due to his cereal bursting into flames.
My sims Robert Tyler, Roger Flowers, and Cary Jantrell went to the flea market and challenged each other to hoops or whatever that basketball thing is. Cary made a knife block on the wood bench and Robert got spooked by a ghost at their haunted house and lost a magic duel with another sim all in one day. Roger annoyed his roommates by Scavenging the Ground in front of them, those jerks.
So you know my Knoles household? The one with the former Secret Agent and very normal dude. Randomizer decided that I should take TWO turns with that household. So within that time, baby Megan got all the way up into being a kid with the full toddler stats. I randomize the first trait for toddlers and she ended up with the Wild one. Which I glanced over both of her parents for any nature-esque traits she might have inherited...and decided that she'll pick up the Romantic one from her mother come teenagehood. -cough- Hormones hitting in hard. -cough cough- A lot of Megan's whims, outside of just running around, was listening and dancing to the music, so I picked up Music Lover for her child trait. That being said, movement was the first skill she maxed, so still starting with the Motor aspiration first, before I inevitably do all child aspirations because I have the time for them in Long timespan. :P
As for Jeff and Kayla? Well. Jeff managed to climb to the top of the Chef career and is now a Celebrity Chef. With his songwriting, he's actually gaining a fair amount of fame now! I think he wants to try breaking into music, but ah, well, I'll wait until I get that fame perk that allows for career swapping without losing your position...which I think is rank 4? Or a referral for the Entertainment career. He keeps getting so many other job offers but not his secret desire!
Kayla has been quietly working on the bartender career as well. Sidenote, the family was in sort of a tiny cramped cabin, where they had to live with a todder and two dogs in one bedroom! Unacceptable for Kayla, even before Megan and especially after! Just as Megan aged up, and I was about to end my first session with them, they had the money to move into Bedlington Boathouse, which I pulled a renovation of off of the gallery to function as a rental home. Normally I would charge double the asking price for people to move into that home but -waves hand- this is my game I wave it when necessary in order to have room for kids to have their own bedroom. And beach house. Such a lovely beach house. That being said, Kayla is not done wanting nicer homes and she has her eye on a San Myshuno penthouse. The fashion district one. The expensive one. After we gain the cash money for said penthouse. Which makes this household number 2 that has their eye on that exclusive home. The other being Penny Pizazz + Don Lothario. Race time! May the eye of the randomizer favor you!
@Handel What is the randomizer? Glad your family is moving on up. Sounds as if you're having a great time! Congratulations! By the way, I'm not at all fond of the Wild trait for Toddlers. They're too hard to handle. Kudos, if you've been able to pull if off, which it sounds as if you did. Nice update.
Yesterday, I had to do a game save recovery. My game got stuck due to a wild fox (that absolutely nobody in my Sims' household ever even watched, let alone befriend) died. The game took the camera right over to Austin (or whatever the name was). Then Sim hours later, I still couldn't save or get into buy/build mode. I was just stuck! My Sim recorded and released his twenty-second album (again, as the save put me to a point before he'd done this) did two concerts and a photoshoot, besides. He got back in time to focus on his six children. He did the Efficient Baby Care on little Peter, who is set to age-up when I play my game today, as it will be Wednesday in the game when I get back to it. He made certain the Toddler, Andrew, got fed. Nothing worse than a Hangry Toddler, believe me. The older kids did their homework, they've all earned A's by learning to buckle down and study hard while at school. Erik is pleased with their progress. We'll see if Cadence goes through her bear thing this go-around. Kayleigh took care of the farm animals, as the parents didn't want their children too distracted from their schooling. Come the summer, though, it's their task again. Kayleigh, this time was able to soothe Magnolia, who I just learned is an Elder, so that the cow wouldn't kick the full bucket of milk over. Yes, she's done that about twice before.
That's about it. Erik is nominated again. He'll need to decide on what new suit he's going to wear next. And, then Kayleigh will have to try to find a color that at least compliments his suit.
@GalacticGal Literally just a document numbering all households in a home across all worlds and random.org to pick a number! Been a ride and my bonsai tree that is my Sims file is certianly growing in interesting ways.
Shannon (my Sim, the one in the towel) had an argument with her neighbour over some late night noise. Funny thing is Shannon jumped from the shower straight across the decking to pound on Rosalie's door, without even getting dressed!

As far as his family goes, Peter aged up to a Toddler. He's cute but oh boy, that runaway long puffy hair! For some reason I didn't change it in CAS, when I always give my Sims' kids a new wardrobe, sometimes a new do, as well, upon aging up. I don't normally mess with their looks. This is the first time I haven't changed the hair style. Peter's cute the way he is. LOL
All of the older kids have bragging rights. They all are having a problem with the alphabet. They can't get passed the A! Well, done, kiddos, well done. Erik and Kayleigh keep caring for their farm animals. Magnolia is an Elder and I keep getting those pop-ups that she hopes there are a few more hugs before the end … I think I've grown rather fond of the beastie, myself. Sniff, sniff. Am contemplating if they should get a new cow, once the Magster kicks the bucket, in the metaphorical sense, or take this opportunity to get Erik his Llama? I may well have to roll the dice on that one. Odds, Llama, Even cow?
Erik was nominated for his twentieth Best Song. He finally chose his new suit. Kayleigh was able to find something she hopes will compliment his outfit. (They are the King of Rock and his Queen, more or less.) Aylin has yet to return to her job. I'm not certain if she quit to take care of her presumed newborn. But the new Butler, while efficient is an Elder. I'm toying with using MCCC to age her down or just letting things be. My poor gameplay has already given this family a rough go of it. Too Much Rain, to borrow from Sir Paul McCartney's catalogue.
Oh, and somebody harvested the garden, including the Eggplant and Erik's giant prized Pumpkin! Can't find either in anyone's inventory, either. I guess I should check the Family Inventory before alerting the authorities …Maybe in this case the Butler did do it. So far, not in the fridge, either. Hm. Well, that's it from Henford-on-Bagley. Now back to your regular programming.

I have the SimRealist experience. Their Home and Land Co. is what forces the Sim into towels after a shower. Private Practice is a great mod that fleshes out the doctor career and adds illness and the need for clinics etc. Shannon is at a clinic I built on Canal Corner in that screenshot, being treated by Sims generated randomly for the needs of the mod.
I started a new legacy family since my long standing Denny family's tree was all messed up. I actually tried to fix it with MCCC... but I have A LOT of sims I can upload to the gallery at least! I got up to 12 generations.
Shannon went on a date with Cameron Fletcher. It should have technically been more "successful" but the goal tasks weren't working {hopefully a repair game will resolve}.
Anyway, Shannon is in her last term of uni. New Years Resolution to get a significant other. Drew a whim to cloudgaze with her friend Cameron. Knew he was single because she had asked earlier...
The couple shared their first kiss. Shannon completed her resolution in the knick of time. Don't know if they'll ultimately last, but...
Jeff and Mary Sue Pleasant finally have enough money to build their dream house, one fit for their twin girls and the baby-on-the-way. Jeff is a successful athlete, and Mary Sue is an up-and-coming politician.
The house was 'inspired' by their The Sims 2 home. I say 'inspired' by because I had the floor plan in mind, but wanted to expand the second floor, and had no interest in printing off photos of the original and trying to map it tile-for-tile. There's lots on the gallery if I wanted an exact reproduction. I was playing one of my gallery items, a version of the Pleasant family that is "between" The Sims 1 and The Sims 2: Jeff Pleasant is all grown up and married, and has twins -- but they're just kids, not teens about to age to young adult. I was testing a mod from modthesims.info that has a full gender/orientation/sexuality thing to it, so sims can roll asexual or nonbinary in addition to the WW gender-preference options. Mary Sue began as 'straight', but developed a crush on Bryani Cho that made her rethink things (an element of the mod). Angela and Lilith both had interesting rolls when they became teens: Lilith is a lesbian, and Angela (now Andie) declared themselves to be nonbinary, but still into guys. I just have Andie dress in mostly male clothing with a short haircut. It's interesting having Lilith be the girly girl. I'm tempted to pause this playthrough until High School Years drops, since I'd wanted to do my test run of that with TS2 sim teens. Of course, the patch that's coming will almost definitely break this mod, so I think I'll just soldier along for a bit.
