The last time I played, Morgyn found out a friend had died while he was in the Magic Realm. He stayed pretty torn up about it, even with his magic charged up.
He felt much better after making himself an emotion stabilizing potion.
But, then came the aggravating question: How many spellcasters does it take to repair a refrigerator?
I turned Granada Place in Oasis Springs into a Wedding Venue. Now I'm stuck on the floor plan.
That looks gorgeous. Depending on what you want, the large open area can be filled with bench seating (pews) or rows of chairs. These could be in two groups leaving a center aisle. I would put flower pots on the floor of the entryway, possibly. Place the wedding runner on that center aisle you created, maybe line it with those small square candles in Lighting. Place the arch in front of the runner arrows (I learned the hard way when I had it turned around ) I don't believe you need any window dressings, unless you want them. Maybe place more potted plants (large) on either side of the wedding arch. Select a nice floor covering be it wood, ceramic or marble flooring.
If you're also wanting a reception to take place there, you could divide the large open area to include a small-ish reception area. Create a door in the wall cutting the two rooms off from each other, so that guests can enter the wedding portion of the venue and later on the reception area.
OR, you could create a basement area for the reception!
The Second Term at Britechester-U, was pretty much more of the same. Astrid was doing quite well on the E-Sports Team, so much so, she was made Captain. Aaron practiced Soccer hard, and played the game hard, as well. He helped the team with a Clinch Win at their final game for the season. Some of the students scrambled to get their term papers fully edited, their boards, too. All managed to submit their papers on time and presented their boards, on time, as well. Phew! Daily homework was also completed and turned in.
Erik released his fourteenth album and received his ninth Accolade for Best Song, Tangled Roots. All seven got good grades. Aaron was the only one who didn't get four A+s. He got three, with one solid A.
Two Terms down, one to go!
@GalacticGal Ty! And thank you for your much appreciated input. I have a vague idea of how it should look but I've always been bad at layouts.
The look I'm going for is a Spanish style chapel but turns out, it's kinda big for a chapel. Adding two rows of pews on each side of the aisle leading to the arch. Before the wedding pack, I watched someone build a sunken set of pews for the wedding arch.. I'm worried that won't function very well. I want to fit in as much candles as possible for lighting all over the building. The windows are beautiful with no curtains so all that Oasis Springs sunlight can shine through. I'm stuck on the flooring! Marble would be nice but maybe too fancy so either tile or wood flooring from the vampire pack. I am tempted to make a basement just to add the pipe organ and a coffin because I can't resist for some reason. lol The backyard is small but hopefully big enough for an outdoor reception.

To get a basic idea of a Spanish style chapel, you might run an Internet search on floorplans: Spanish style chapel and see what turns up.

Figured I would show the layout I ended up doing. Might be too big to be considered a chapel but it fits perfectly into the Skyward Palms neighborhood in Oasis Springs. The basement has a shoe box of a dressing room. I will probably place this same lot in Forgotten Hollow and give it a dark/vampire reno.
My seven students are busily grinding away. They finished up their Christmas celebration by getting started doing the advance daily homework. Erik held a concert and a photoshoot, ahead of Sunday's Starlight Accolade Show. He's up for his tenth accolade for Best Song, in a row! He wanted to clear his slate so that he could thoroughly enjoy the evening, win or not. In the meantime, Kayleigh is pregnant (although I have paused the pregnancy so she can finish the Term and not be forced to move out of the dorm, just a day or two prior to receiving a degree).
@SimplyJen It's beautiful!
You could look at pics of old Spanish Missions and old catholic cathedrals and churches to see if that provides additional ideas.
Stephanie, my fashionista sim, has a studio under her retail shop were she produces all her beauty videos. The setup is one of my favourites out of all my sims into media production.
Stephanie and hubbie have two adorable toddlers.
And everyone in this household has matching sleepwear. I just love this family

@cyncie Poor Guidry! I'm sorry he was worried about his perfectly normal sleeping cat. How cute was it that he went from white to happy green after Morgyn reassured him.
Compleleted the Best of Friends scenario with the Bailey-Moon Household in a new save file. Befriended Taku and Miki Akiyama, Lucas Munch and Yuki Behr. It was fun comparing and contrasting my more relaxed long lifespan personal file run with a condensed lifespan of a normal timeframe. Wasn't even able to get Orange's basic social aspiration completed, even with the similar goals of the scenario.
That being said, I like tending my personal file like a bonsai plant I am carefully growing one household at a time.
...also techinically the scenario didn't complete. So they're still as finnicky as ever!

Guidry seems to have become pretty attached to The Mayor in a short period of time. He’s always checking on him.
My seven Sims all managed to graduate, with honors, from Britechester-U, five of whom went after Distinguished Degrees. Kayleigh is now expecting her first child. Erik was ecstatic with the news. He also went on to win his Tenth Starlight Accolade in a row, for Best Song. Aaron asked Sandi Beeches father for his blessing to wed the daughter. Joey actually proposed to Astrid Tischler, she said yes. Aaron hasn't found the right moment, just yet. Brianna's wedding is set for the day after graduation, which is Saturday in the game. (Looks like I'll be getting to that on Saturday in Real Time.) Erik and Kayleigh have moved into the house they had built, which is finally ready. Brianna moved in with Spock for convenience, no hanky-panky. The other two couples will reside with Erik until their nuptials take place.
Erik was invited and accepted to be the guest on Trend Talk with Jenny Jenkins. The interview was live. All-in-all if you discount the clothing-impaired Obsessed Fan who crashed the Show, it went well.
ETA: Can't believe I misspelled Sandi's last name. It's two e's no a, as in Beechnut baby food. Face/palm.
(So Excited). Zoe is my mechanical engineer who graduated from Foxbury. She's made her first trips into space {my very first Sim ever to do so}. She's also near crafting the mech suit, but her high maintenance trait keeps making her too angry to work at the robotics station when she doesn't get zapped! Finally she has Caleb Vatore and Clement Frost as friends-with-benefits ?? Caleb is her current BFF but she has the hots for Clement. The plan is to at conceive Father Winter's baby when Christmas rolls around; a matter of a couple more days in game.
Halloween was one of the last events and I had "spooky spirit" as a tradition. After all, between space forays and vamp mates should be a chinch right? Well, I don't know what is much more "interact with vampires" than taking Caleb to a bar for a drink and then going to his house in Forgotten Hallow where not only the Master Vampire Caleb himself resides, but his sister besides... sigh
At least it was a good holiday, even if that particular tradition didn't tick off.

For the first time today, one of my played family (a poor farming family) won the lottery. A real instant rags to riches
Outstanding! That's really so cool. Mostly NPCs win in my game. My family, although rich, always purchase a lottery ticket and don't regret spending the money, they believe they are helping to build the winnings. Their small way of giving back.

@Ziafar Good going! I've never had a played household win the Lottery, either. I sometimes think the Lottery is rigged in favor of ghosts (I can remember two spectral winners) and pets (Mayor Whiskers has won twice). The only premade I can remember winning is Kim Goldbloom.
It really was a first for me. It is always NPCs that win in my game. Honestly I was shocked (in a good sense). But it will force me to change my story a bit.
While I was having Giselle gather her wayward kids for the night (the toddlers are fast) I witnessed Thomas Watson demonstrate zero self-preservation instinct by deciding that it was a brilliant idea to woohoo with a hungry vampire, in a public park, on a cold autumn evening. Giselle was able to beg the Grim to save him (between her mother' s and aunts lack of self-control when it comes to feeding, she's been forced to deal with Grim for so many times by now that they are best friend), but it was not enough to keep Marisol's venom from accidentally turning him. Poor fool.

"Tell us, great sage. What is this mysterious and powerful potion you are brewing?"
"Pancakes. They're pancakes."
He then answered a call from Guidry, who was concerned that something was wrong with Mayor Whiskers.
Morgyn reassured him that a cat faceplanted into the sofa was completely normal. He hoped.
And, in other parts of my world, Anaya Finch is getting to be very confident behind the bar of The Blue Moon.
And a NearWolf wandered in. Must have heard the news.
