I decided to stick with the Barn idea, but wanted something different, so using the landscape I chose, I decided to run with a Medieval Tythe Barn as a venue. I tried to keep as much of what would have been the original construction in the build. Obviously, arrow slits wouldn't do, so we added some windows ad expanded upon some of the interior decor.
The Blueprint had an upstairs section, so I decided to create a Honeymoon Suite, for our couple, as well as the offices, for the staff.
There is a functioning Kitchen for Caterers, a Bar, a DJ for the Dance Floor area, as well as Seating for the Ceremony and Dinner.
Outside, I pushed to keep the natural landscape, in most areas, and added some Topiary for a Butterfly/Lightning Bug Garden (Lit up at night), with a fountain and seating. The read of the venue also has a Swan Pond with seating.
I didn't run a wedding, but I did playtest the areas, to make sure everything worked and then dropped it in place again, to make sure my MOO wasn't an issue. It seemed that it was not. A lot of people in town showed up to take pictures and mil around. I even had people taking pictures at me, while I was taking pictures of the venue. LOL
Tythe Barn Wedding is a lovely wedding venue! @Taoron Very nice exterior design, and the outside areas are great! The landscaping is very nice! Very nice sitting area and pretty flower edged pond. The interior furnishings are lovely! Very nice wedding arch area with seating on either sides of the aisle. The platformed wedding arch is very nice! The candlelights are pretty! Very nice bar counter area, with stools to sit and have a drink. Very lovely reception meal tables area! The layout of the tables is very nice and pretty candles on top of them. The honeymoon suite is lovely. The pink and white colors are pretty, lovely wall pattern and the rugs are pretty.
It is a very nice wedding venue!
@Taoron that is a beautiful build! Wow! There is something maybe pensive about the stone. It’s a beautiful kind of quiet. I really like you landscaping too.
Thank you @rosemow & @JojoMOMSTER ! I have not, but I just saved it to watch later. I adore old architecture. There are days when I am out and in historic parts of town, where I just stop, park the car and walk. I was doing a wellness check on an old Lab a week or two ago and every day I just stood and looked at old Victorians, 2nd Empire, Colonial and Deco homes and just taking in the nuances of them all. You'll probably end up seeing a few of them here. LOL
I love what you did with your barn, @AlJay. That roofline is very cool and the decor inside is perfect. I never thought to stack those juice barrels like that. Yay for new ideas. LOL
Awesome Mission style @Lissykin Another of my favorite styles. I could see that fitting right in Florida or Southern California, beautifully. Great decor and attention to detail.
@Pinkusfamily amazing barn venue! (I think my wife may have done a wedding there once. LOL ) Great looking venue and congrats on being in the Highlights! Yay!!!!
@Taoron I love Tythe! It feels authentic. I love the outdoor areas and the interior ceremony area is striking. Btw, all those tables makes for a dramatic picture! I don't know if my Sims even know that many Sims to invite and fill them. Gorgeous build!
Oh, and I support your slideshow of chaos - I do that too. 😆
Thank you to everyone who participated in this month’s challenge. I absolutely loved all the wedding venues! Each one was so stunning and beautiful!
@Lissykin Mission Mirage Venue is so beautiful! I love the mission style that you chose for your design theme. The landscaping is perfect! I love the fountain, seating, and all the little details that you added on the exterior of the venue. I think my favorite part is that you added a deck to the second floor. The interior looks great as well. The flooring is perfect for this style, and the beams add nice interest to the build. I like that you chose to add a piano and an organ and I love all the decorations. This is so well done!
@Pinkusfamily HoeDown Country wedding is such a beautiful wedding venue for Henford-on-Bagley. I love the country theme that you have chosen for this challenge. The landscaping is so pretty with the bales, garden and all the nice farm items. The interior of the venue looks so nice with the rich woods and the decorations that you used. I am absolutely in love with the honeymoon suite and all the little details that you added to the dressing rooms. Beautifully done!
@Taoron Your Medieval Tythe Barn is simply gorgeous! The grand estate look of the exterior is wonderful! The landscaping details are beautiful with the pond and fountains, and you even made the grass look freshly mowed! The interior is decorated beautifully. I especially love the way you used the platforms to make a stage and added the lanterns to the stairway. Creating a balcony on the second level is a perfect idea for this style of build as well. Very nicely done!
The challenge for April is to use the blueprint above to design a home. Your build can be on any size lot and any style you choose. There is no budget but please do not use any custom content. Please hashtag with #BB29 and #AlJay2000 when you upload it to the gallery. As always, if you wish to make a household for your new build, please feel free to do that as well!
If you need a starting point, I have uploaded a shell to the gallery for you to use. This is just a guide and can be put on any size lot with any wall and foundation height.

Have fun! I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Thank you @GlacierSnow
Thank you @Aljay I wish I had changed seasons when I took pics. That overlay for the grass looked much nicer in the spring, when the grass under wasn't brownish. But, it worked.
Hi @AlJay I have taken the new house and I still have the Barn and I was wondering if it would be ok if I made it into a house or a different community lot? I know I will be very late and its a large build but I fancy doing it soon, I will check back for what you say.
Hi @AlJay I started the April house last night and its very different I thought the upstairs was a small bedroom with shower and the open landing just landing Lol ah well I had not looked at the plan so I hope you like it when its done
Thanks @AlJay for the compliment, I do try to be different even though not always a success but I have fun trying It should be finished tomorrow I have enjoyed the shell thank you

I have to suffer "Hilary Farr complex" because the very first thing I thought while watching the plan is how to enlarge that tiny kitchen
Happy April everyone!
