Oh, just a look into another discussion and I have made another find:

Ooh! So we have multiple for each death! That's exciting!
Edit. Ah, they may or may not have made into the game. I'll put these in italics in the header post then...
Edit 2. I found two of them! Onto hoping to find the toilet bursting into flames one!
Edit 3. Finally I had the "toilet bursting into flames" one! This means that they all are in the game.

Three of my sims died by cowplant notification. I've had 5 sims die accidental deaths so far through neighborhood stories. I'm starting to think the cowplant death will be frequent in my game. I was also getting worried that most of the deaths were adult mothers but then my 5th death was a young adult father who has an infant child. So, Now my sim baby will have to grow up without his dad.

Sofia Suàrez got a little too angry so she exploded. (She did have four kids, a husband and her mother in the house, so I guess it makes sense).
Moreover, I advise that the cart button must be destroyed!

Woah! That sounds like a LOT of deaths. How many sim days is that spread over?

It does sound like there are a lot of accidental deaths. How many cowplants are there in your game to cause so many deaths?

    Oh this is just morbid.

    ...I'll allow it.

    That's called morbid curiosity. :) (oh, sorry, :( )

I have played the game and found some texts. I have updated the list.

Interesting. Here I had 5 deaths, none of them cowplant, all of them unique from each other. One of the victims was my sim's neighbor. I even saw the moment her profile picture in the relationship panel turned into a ghost. So I checked the mailbox.
She was killed by a rabbit.

I have taken a picture each time I got a death notification through mailbox. Used those pictures to fill the list. At one point, I'll take all the notifications from the pictures and upload them to the forums.

Oh, and I discovered that no, death by old age doesn't have a separate notification. Sad...
Due to this, I think an obituary feature where you can see recent deaths (including old ages and deaths of your sims) would be neat...

My first (and so far only) one I seen is, "Christa blushed so much she exploded."

I don't have random deaths enabled so I'll have to live vicariously through the comments in this thread. 😄

Thanks! I'll take it as death by embarrassment.

One became too angry and other blushed too much and one heard a dad joke. Everyone exploded...

I wasn't going to enable random deaths for any sims, but seeing this thread was too tempting. I have MCCC move elders out of households automatically, so I'm going to turn random deaths on just for all of the homeless elders.
...saying that out loud made me feel like a really horrible person.
This post will be edited by StormKeep at some point.

I decided to enable deaths on one of my challenge families that I'm finished with, just to experiment, and I got a notification that my elder Sim tried to conquer a mountain, but the mountain conquered her. So I guess she fell off the mountain while trying to climb it?

Unfortunately, the rest of the household were kids, and they seem to have been deleted when the elder died. I'm hoping they show up in the adoption pool, but we'll see.

I've had two deaths since enabling it for the elderly households:

"Wolfgang forgot his winter clothes and became a popsicle"

And another one that I cleared out before writing down exactly what it was, but it basically was that she died from too much woohoo.

    This thread is amazing

I'm so happy (morbidly) that death by illness/accident is now possible for unplayed sims

Oh, maybe not illness? Anyway, lots of entertaining accidents

    Hints of this...

Interesting. So currently it's 16 out of 28 (old age excluded). Thus 57% is covered. That's interesting... I have yet to encounter embarrassment, overexertion, overheating, sunlight, and spellcaster overload.

Could I ask where you got this information? It would be really interesting to know.

Thank you so much. I'll update the list with what is not possible and have two points for each possible ones.

Please do keep me updated when new deaths are added to neighborhood stories!

The Hermit (Hilta?) In Granite Falls died due to a rabbit attack

    Supriya Delgato died of laughter

Judith Ward died due to flies (but that's because she beat up my kid so that death is on me technically)

A few random townies died but I didn't bother to see how

I seem to have no luck getting new ones today...

Here are all the notifications I have got!

I'll have to try again another day, but if you get a unique death message when checking the mailbox for neighborhood stories, please share.

That just made me laugh out loud! I had one of the Sulani Sims barge into my house and I didn't have the option to make them leave, so I had my Sim, June, fight them and then got the option to tell them to "Get off my lawn" and they finally left.

Afterwards, I decided to turn on Neighborhood Stories on their household, so I'm waiting to see now if they die in an accident. I had thought about playing the household in question since I haven't before, but after they raided my fridge and knocked over my trash, I was like nope.
