I just found out that my stepdad has (AT MOST) a year left to live! As if his dementia wasn't bad enough - evidently he now has cancer and with him being 78, I don't know if he could handle radiation I'm so depressed about this right now

As for foods, I'd give up my favorite (whatever that might be) in a heart beat rather than have only that the rest of my life. For one thing, I wouldn't live long or well on only one food. For another, no matter how much you love something, if it's the only thing you eat, you'll get sick to death of it and start hating it. And without one food, I can find another favorite, but more important to me is variety.

An old-fashioned radio phone would do me for calls on the road.
