Since I'm afraid I might run out of time again if I don't post this now, but I do always SO enjoy looking at your builds in these threads, here it is, as for previous EPs (and one I'm extremely excited about): the
Cottage Living build thread!
Let me start off by saying that I am SO HYPED for this pack. Almost feels like Seasons to me. I can't wait to buy llamas, cows and chickens, live on a laaarge farm with my cats and dogs, in the beautiful countryside. I can't wait for GROCERIES. Yes, groceries. I am a boring simmer. I LOVE not being able to cook anything unless I have some ingredients. It's gonna be so lit!
Now, I know the EP hasn't been released yet but there are already plenty of cottages online, and hey: we wouldn't be simmers if we hadn't been mentally preparing for this pack for weeks (some even for years lol). So feel free to drop your cottages below, even before the pack releses. I'd love to see them
In the meantime, feel free to browse the awesome things simmers have made for
Snowy Escape,
Eco Lifestyle,
Island Living, and
Discover University. Or look at some
renovated apartments here.
Happy Cottage Living, everyone! (so hyped lol)

Can't wait to see what every one builds with the pack. Here's an old cottage I built that I am updating with packs I didn't have back then, with a view to finishing it with CoL.
I like I said last day, I have build four of them. The American farm, two British castles between light and darkness, and a magical countryside with a magic windmill.
I also have a big farm I initially made for the wedding destinations Sims Sparked event. For these guys I will need to update the garden and the pond to add some frogs and ducks.
I just finished a house build but it's cramped in the living room. I'm not happy with it but I want it to fit on the 30 X 20 lot and have room for the animals and crops.
I am sure at least one of the apartments has a balcony large enough to fit a chicken coop.
Eta I took this one off the gallery because they're getting changed when the pack releases. I also fixed the roof and other things in my library build of the one in Newcrest. That one will also be taken off the gallery and replaced with the fixed one from my library when the new pack releases.
That is a cute home. I thought they got rid of the gallery for phones….. but this is about the third house on the gallery I have seen through the phone lately. Is there a update to the phone gallery or something?
Thank you. I don't know about the phone gallery, I've never used it.
My gallery name is elliebreton

I'm so glad I saved the house to the gallery because it got over written with this lot in my library. I was measuring the pond, chicken coop, animal shed, and crops with terrain paints. Then I saved it to my library twice. I thought it was going to save the big lot when I said to over write it.
I down loaded and fixed it then put it on the gallery.

I've made many of them over the years, so here's some most of them:
I do have a few more in Windenburg, but I haven't shared those to the gallery yet, as first the doors/windows were broken and then the stairs. But that should be fixed now, I just haven't gotten round to play testing them.
This one I built for Granite Falls, but it has a nice woodsy vibe.
This is a fixer-upper, so it has some "issues"
One entirely base game, fit for a small family.
This one actually got a Maxis fave back in the day. I did upload the shell of this one as well, much later.
And honorary mention for The Ugly Duckling pub in Windenburg, I'm sure it wouldn't look bad in HoB either.
I'll probably make some (basegame) shells the next few days, for easy adjustment to the new pack. Building the structure is my favourite part anyway
A semi-shotgun, camel-back style farmstead:
First Floor:
Second Floor:
Third Floor
(I have play-tested this one a bit and have since added a backdoor.)
And the other one, while narrow, is what I'd be inclined to call a forerunner to the rambling ranch style house of today:
Cutaway of the First Floor:
Second Floor:
These were both built on the 40 X 30 size lots. I've since seen the map another player shared and I'll likely either rebuild or remodel to fit a larger lot.

Tonya A.K.A MsGryphi really setting the bar high with this pack! I feel she really nails the houses I remember.
Here's one of the shells I've been working on for my young coven of three witches.
Thinking about witches.. I wonder if they considered allowing chickens rabbits or foxes as familiars.
