I built a cottage-style 4 bedroom home on a 40x50 lot and added a barn for storage and activities i.e. woodworking table. Plan to add fizzy making and arrangement table as my sims make money. I added a pond, fenced in area with 2 sheds and a coop, and a garden area with bees and of course Patchy. I have been playing whenever I can (rl has been busy lately) and I am really enjoying it! I don't have a pic as I don't know yet how to put one in, but I did put it in the gallery. The name of the lot is Willoughy's Farm and my id is MaggieMae7276.

Wonderfully amazing builds! I'm always in awe at the talent and creativity of builders! Like seriously! I don't have the vision or patience to learn how to do 99% of the things builders come up with. Which is really odd because I'm a creative person by nature, I can create a meshes in blender to replicate a RL object and texture it so it looks remarkedly similar to my reference image .... but make me sit down and try to build a unique and interesting house/lot and I'll just sit there lost on how to accomplish it and in the end my building ends up looking like every other building I make (very MCM-ish).
I am forever grateful for the builders in the community so I can have beautiful and unique builds in my game, without all of the headaches and mental stress of trying to do it myself.
I needed a little "village" of sorts for my Norns to live in, but since I'm a terrible builder, I just took two of the premade houses (the one by the waterfall and one from Finchwick minus the upper floor) and placed them next to each other on what used to be the Bramblewood park lot, added a shed, a chicken coop, a meditation pavilion and a pond.
Then I had to do something about the original house next to the waterfall because I didn't want my version of Little Red Riding Hood and his grandmother to live in a house that looked exactly like that of the Norns, so this one I actually built myself, with a lot of cussing. The stable area next to it is still mostly the same as it was before.
I normally don't care a lot to watch other builds, probably because I pay more attention to the sims and their stories than where they live, but this thread is stunning! So inspiring to see these cottages, and I should definitely start improving my own Thanx all!
I made a community center in the aesthetic of a church. It has some skilling objects, a place to have a wedding, an children's art classroom on the second floor, and an apartment for the
I also replaced the bar with a different one based on a real pub:
Damnnnn I need to play this pack I was so excited for it and haven't actually had the time to play it lol. LOVE all your builds though, Imma have to dedicate some time to this verrrry soon!
This pack has inspired so many great builds! Thanks for sharing pics with us
I had a bake off tent in Willow Creek I used for cooking/baking clubs, but when I got the English Countryside I had to have a bigger one! So I bulldozed the little tent, and moved my clubs to this one:
The Great Simlish Bake Off Tent
Set as a Community Garden (EL) - you can bring your own chickens and they'll use the coop, and even lay eggs while you're visiting. Or you can use the mod by @83bienchen - and purchase animals while you're on the lot. Works a treat. Befriend them, clean them, collect their goodies, and they'll still be there when you return. Thank you Bienchen
Mini Gnome Village - and bunnies will visit and foxes too (if trait is set).
And to harvest all the fruits and vegies from the greenhouse etc, I made a comfy bedroom with private ensuite in the big building, so simmies can stay overnight.

I am not a builder, but I have delevoped a skill at fine-tuning other people's builds.
Here is Cordelia's Secret Cottage, almost as the Gamechanger intended, but tweaked ever so slightly to my tastes. It's still < 20 000.
1. The big thing is that without changing a single thing you can convert it to a tier 3 Tiny Living lot. Meaning you get big benefits regarding bills being lower.
2. Kitchen tweaked slightly to get a more practical layout that also fits my Scandinavian sense of style better.
3. Chimney moved to the southern end of the cottage because well... there's where the wood stove is. I am picky like that.
4. Changed over all accent color scheme from Red to Blue, because Blue.
5. Added the two missing lot traits: Homey and Private Dwelling. (So now it has the following: Natural Light, Homey, Private Dwelling + Wild Foxes and Simple Life challenges).
I finally got some time to actually play with this EP (which I have owend since launch and was/am really excited for - sad, I know) and started working on my "modern farmhouse" build Which is loosely based on our own house lol. I know, not exactly using a lot of stuff that came with CL but hey, it's still a CL build Also: I want to repeat just how much I enjoy Dream House Decorator lol

“O shaken flowers, O shimmering trees,
O sunlit white and blue,
Wound me, that I, through endless sleep,
May bear the scar of you.”
