THE FINAL ERA!!!! I will confess, as I actually lived through and remember this era, I created the goals with a significant degree of cynicism....
12.6 Goals
1 21st Century Work Ethic
Have a sim complete 5 different aspirations and possess three different degrees. After completing the three degrees, become a Barista. [No Discover University: reach the top of three different careers before becoming the Barista].
Have a sim with the workaholic lifestyle reach the top of the salaryperson career. [no Snowy Escape - have a sim with the traits ‘connections’, ‘professional slacker’ and ‘entrepreneurial’ reach the top of one of the following careers: tech guru; engineer; business]
2 Modern Media & Medicine
Watch all tv channels and listen to all radio channels.
Have a male sim give birth to an alien baby and keep it [No Get to Work: have a sim give birth to triplets; cheats cannot be used]
Perform surgery on an alien [No Get to Work: take a potion to reset a sim’s lifespan]
3 Can we ever trust dating profiles?
Marry an alien without knowing their secret (No Get to Work: marry a sim without knowing any of their traits)
4 Social Media King/Queen
Gain 1,000,000 Simstagram followers [No Cats & Dogs: make £100,000 from selling on Plopsy; No Nifty Knitting: be good friends or declared enemies with every young adult and adult sim in your universe]
5 Housing Crisis
Live in a home from the Victorian era with nine roommates [no Discover University: 8 sim household; none of the sims can be related and must all be young adults or adults].
12.7 Special Event
The special event is decided by the roll of the die:
1: Stock market crash. Lose your job or 30% of your household funds.
2: Today your sims must eat nothing but avocados [no Jungle Adventure - pomegranate instead] and grilled cheese.
3: Today you must engage in an ironically retro activity e.g. Rollerskating, listen to a grammyfone or jukebox, ride a bicycle etc.
4: Internship opportunity. For today, have a sim work in L1 of the business career but not get paid (use the money cheat to deduct their salary). They can return to their old job the following day but must return at whatever job level is offered (even if it wasn’t as high as the original job you just left).
5: For today, do not use one of the following because you read a news article which said it can cause cancer and is bad for the environment: all electronics; all appliances; all lighting; all plumbing.
6: Global pandemic. For today, do not leave the house (either skip work or work from home) to protect the health of others. Roll a die for every sim in the household. If you roll a 1, they die.
Today I am releasing a pretty big update: three alternative versions of the challenge!
If you are one of the people who has looked at the full GBSC and thought 'this looks fun - but way too long for me', then this update is for you. I have chunked the original challenge into three smaller versions:
The Dark Age: runs from the Iron Age to the Medieval era
The Golden Age: runs from the Tudor era to the Victorian era
The Modern Age: runs from the early 20th century to the 00s
The smaller versions cover 4 eras each (compared to the 12 eras of the full challenge). All of the smaller versions have been edited to ensure they still run smoothly from start to finish, with necessary edits made to the start-up and the challenge-wide goals.
For players of the full-length challenge, your update involves tweaks and typo fixes that should give a better playing experience.
Back when I started this thread, I questioned whether anyone would care enough to view let alone care enough to read. Now, at 1000K views, I am incredibly thankful to everyone who has taken the time to visit and read about the nerdiest (and, to my mind, coolest) thing I have ever done.
Now that I have presented the challenge in all its glory, some of you might be done and ready to move on to other threads. I would understand that - thanks for sticking with me through the challenge posts.
For those of you that want more, I've been thinking about what I can post. I already have a Tumblr & Insta that I keep up-to-date with pictures of what I am doing, but I think I'll start keeping the Forum up to date too, just in case you don't use/have interest in those social media platforms. I know I posted some stuff right back at the beginning, but I thought it would be nice to share things in much more detail.
So, over the next few days I will aim to bring the Forum up-to-date with my progress on creating a save file for the GBSC. In case you don't know what I'm on about, my plan is to create a save file which has already prepared all of the worlds as different eras for you, leaving the only era prep you need to do as moving in your sims. There are more complicated elements to it that I need to deal with (e.g. how can I ensure your early 20th century lots don't get moved into by townies in the Iron Age?), but we can figure all that out later. For now, I'm making pretty lots and households to fill each era! I'm currently in the Stuart era, but tomorrow I'll start from the beginning (*music* a very good place to start *music*) and show you what I've made for the Iron Age.
Oh, that's a great idea - to make a save file! Makes me wonder if, once I have all the lots built for my Timeline challenge, if I shouldn't do the same...?
@IllusoryThrall I highly recommend, just from a personal fun perspective. I was not a builder at all before I started it and now I think I'm pretty decent! I've been building/making households for about 6 months now and it is weird to think how long I've been playing the game without ever entering live mode.
As this era is pretty small, I'm going to post all of the households and lots in one post. All are CC free and can be downloaded from my gallery (EmersedCrown)
Alys Walsh thought she was doomed to spend the rest of her life alone. Then, she met Patrick. Their fun-loving, slightly silly personalities instantly clicked and within a week they were married. Now they have twin toddlers, Brighid and Brynn. Alys and Patrick want to have as many kids as they can, but are all too aware that Alys has a birthday coming up soon…
They live in a typical Celtic family homestead. Life is tough and filled with plenty of rough hardwork, but they always manage to find the simple joys to life.
Britain was once full of wild wolves. As a child, Angus was taught to hunt wolves for their pelts. Then, one day when he was a teen, Angus came across some weak and starving wolf pups. Their mother had been killed days earlier. Angus defied his father and raised the pups as his own. Now, he lives them in a secluded forest.
The recent birth of another wolf pup has gotten Angus thinking about starting his own family. But, after spending so much time with wolves, can he even remember how to properly talk to a lady?
Farm life has always been a big part of rural Britain. It therefore makes sense that at least one lot in every world for the Great British Sim Challenge should have a farm. This one is a Community Garden lot.
A wild forest, reflecting how unpopulated early Britain was.
I'm going to split this post over multiple days because there are quite a few lots in this era (it fills Oasis Springs). Today I'll do the biggest household (with the longest backstory) and a couple of community lots.
Roman Priestesses (Vestals) and their temple
First off, Sabina. She is the eldest of the Vestals and is the unofficial leader. She likes things to work a certain way and does not hold her tongue if one of the other vestals crosses her.
Next, Ophelia. Much more laid-back and carefree than Sabina, Ophelia is loved by all the vestals. However, her carefree nature also often manifests as a fear of any kind of commitment: commitment to her role as a vestal; commitment to any of the vestals being a ‘best’ friend; commitment to the many centurions that visit her at night…
Junia - there’s no nice way of putting this - should never have been chosen to be a vestal. For all her external beauty, a cruel soul lies inside. She loves nothing more than manipulating others for her own amusement.
Camilla is the newest member to the temple and is trying hard to stay true to the rules and values of her position. Will she succeed or succumb?
Aeliana has settled in nicely to the temple, becoming a firm friend of Sabina and seeing herself as the next leader of the vestals. Gods help anyone who might try to stand in her way…
Livia is often considered the most beautiful of the vestals - and she knows it. She is the most brazen flirt and loves to revel in the attention and worship of visitors to the temple.
Floria, like most of the other vestals, can’t stop thinking about the local centurions - but for a very different reason: she longs to be one of them. She resents being stuck as a still symbol of beauty when she longs to be an active fighter.
Sweet, innocent Florentina was taken in as a Vestal without truly recognising what it meant. Still, she pines for love and dreams of one day meeting her soulmate.
A Roman Forum
A community marketplace lot
The Desert
Comes in 50 x 50, 40 x 30, 30 x 20 and 20 x 15 sizes. A park lot with most of the required items hidden in an inaccessible basement.
Domitius has been at the top of the Roman Army for as long as anyone can remember. And so he should be, as he has secretly used his vampiric powers to influence, control and survive many a Roman battle.
Augustus is Domitius’ son, and is viewed as the pretty boy of the camp. His father has used his power to spare him from the worst of the fighting, but Augustus longs for fame and glory.
Cassisus is the best fighter in the camp and therefore the most popular. He’s the best - and he knows it.
Julius is the second in command, but longs to be first. He cannot understand how Domitius has managed to wield power so strongly for so long… and he is determined to find out.
Felix is the newest and youngest in the camp; he therefore ends up doing all the dirty work. He has also faced more than his fair share of battle and, somehow, has managed to survive. All he really wants is to meet a pretty girl and fall in love - but who would love someone like him?
Octavius is the strongest and most immature in the camp. While he loves the high energy of battle, it is the late night after-party that is his particular favourite.
General Remus Nero was sent to rule over the newest addition to the Roman Empire: Britannica. He spends most of his days at work, quelling Celtic rebellion.
Meanwhile, his wife, Valentina, throws glamorous parties in an attempt to cover her misery. She hates this cold, rainy island and misses the warmth and glamour of Rome.
Their daughter, Julia, has settled in well - too well. She’s started to dress like the locals, and rumour has it she has been seen in the woods with a Celtic boy…
Finally, there’s Max. The only son, he runs amuck around the villa, with no one daring to tell him to stop. His father looks on with pride, recognising a future general. His mother barely notices, having had too many glasses of nectar. His sister’s resentment is building fast.
The Servius Family
First, there’s Antonius. He owns the nearby Roman Restaurant, which was passed down to him by his parents. Before they died, he was a centurion in the Roman Army. While in the army, he travelled all over the empire, including to Britannica. There, he met his future wife, Caitlin. Now back in Rome, things seem perfect: he owns a restaurant, he has a beautiful wife and three children. And yet, his military past often comes back to haunt him and leave him feeling down. Caitlin was nervous about leaving everything she knew behind to follow Antonius back to Rome. So far, she has no regrets. Still, she does often miss the cold and comforts of home.
Antonius has two brothers that live with him. The first is his older brother, Aurelius. Aurelius, despite being the eldest, has always been overshadowed by his more attractive younger brothers. These days, he quietly cares for his insects and his plants - while secretly pining after Caitlin…
The second brother is Atticus. Still quite young, he longs to be a centurion like his brother was. However, his fighting skills still need significant work…
The Lucius family and their small villa & vineyard
Septimus and Caecilia Lucius are poor fizzing juice farmers. While their days are filled with hard work, their evenings are filled with married bliss as Caecilia plays her beloved guitar and Septimus listens and muses on the great philosophical questions of the world. And so their life has been for the past ten years. But now, Caecilia has fallen pregnant. This was something she never wanted. How will it affect their lives and their marriage?
Tomorrow I'll start going through the Anglo Saxon era!
If you're looking to download any of the builds/households for your own game, they can be found on my gallery (EmersedCrown) and are all CC free.
As this era is about building your own kingdom, the pre-made households and lots all focus on building the rival kingdom that you'll battle against.
The Rival Chief, his family & his kingdom
King Kenric Asher: A powerful blend of charismatic and terrifying, he has led his kingdom for decades.
Leading by Kenric’s side is his wife, Queen Osberga. She has fulfilled her Queenly duty of having sons and now enjoys the power and status of being the most important woman in the kingdom.
Offa is the eldest son and therefore next in line to take over the kingdom. If Kenric is charismatic and terrifying, Offa is terrifying and terrifying. His takeover of the rival kingdom will be interesting…
Odi and Moira are the next eldest children. As the ‘spare’ heirs, they both lack a clear purpose. Moira longs to fight, but doesn’t really know what for. Odi is more of a lover than a fighter, but lacks something or someone to love.
Lora and Lar, as the youngest of the Asher children, are just playing and enjoying being young. They haven’t truly learned yet what it means to be an Asher.
The Other Ashers and their home
King Keric has a younger brother, Atol. Atol and his wife, Riley, spend their lives as the second-best. And they don’t like it. For all their wealth and power, it is not enough without the crown. However, they have plans - their son is nearly old enough to rule. And they know their nephew - the next in line - is highly unpopular. Can they change things to work in their favour?
Kimber is considered the most beautiful sim in the kingdom. And she has every intention of using that beauty to get her what she wants. What does she want? She hasn’t quite decided yet.
Audrey is often seen as a beautiful future rival to her older sister. However, she does not care about that. Still young at heart, she loves nothing more than to spend her time adventuring and having fun with her best friend: her little brother, Aelle. But will things change as they are forced to grow up and accept the futures their parents have planned?
The Mayberrys and their cottage
Aedre’s husband died in battle for the King. She has been left to raise their three children and manage the farm. Trouble is, she was never really an outdoorsy, hands-on person even when he was alive.
Aedre holds the King directly responsible for her husband’s death and detests him. Little does she know that her eldest daughter, Rowena, is secretly dating the King’s eldest son and next in line to take over the kingdom.
Since her father died, Ovra has wanted to become the leader of the house and take charge. However, her noble intentions are held back at every turn by her impulsive and immature behaviour. Renweard was only a baby when his father died, so while he recognises the sadness in his mother and sister, he does not share it. Despite never having met his father, Renweard is just like him - he loves nothing more than being out in nature.
Eadlin and Kendra are the cutest couple living in the rival kingdom.
Kendra is the Sage for the Chief. Eadlin is aware of the danger her wife’s position holds and is very protective of her. They therefore spend basically all their time together. They don’t have much, but they have each other.
The Oakes and their cottage
The Oakes were once a happily married couple, living their days in peace and nature. But things became more complicated on the day that Cwen told Tryggr she was pregnant with another sim’s baby…
Tryggr loves baby Sae as much as his own daughter, Cate, but there is no denying that his marriage to Cwen has never quite been the same.
The Richardsons and their fishing hut
Hilda and Godwin married after a whirlwind romance. Their passion for one another was instant and intense.
However, months after their wedding, they started to feel trapped. And so they both sought freedom in the arms of others.
Whenever they caught one another, fights would ensue. But ultimately, that spark between them would ignite, they would forgive - and the whole cycle would begin again.
The Guthrums came over to Britain in one of the many viking invasions. They decided to stay and build their lives here. Ulf and Bodil are both master crafters - hence how they were able to build such an epic longhouse for their family. While they adore their children and each other, they do not care for the two kingdoms either side of them; they only tend to engage with the locals when they are raiding them!
Wild Woods
A park 50 x 50 lot that acts as a neutral space for you and the rival kingdom to meet and try to talk - or fight - it out.
The Rival Kingdom's Tavern
A bar lot that the sims of your kingdom would have to be insane to attempt to enter.
Brother John and Brother William are committed to their lives as monks. Brother Francis, on the other hand, likes the finer things in life and resents giving it all up. He now spends most of his time in the wine cellar, counting the bottles…
The Nuns and their Convent
Sister Constance, Sister Beatrice and Sister Linota also take their roles very seriously and currently care for three orphans at their convent.
Things for Sister Roesia, however, are a little different: she was sent to the convent when she became pregnant while unmarried. While she has grown to enjoy the life of a nun, raising her own daughter as an ‘orphan’ has been difficult.
The Hughes and their Mansion
Alys’s husband was a knight. Unfortunately, he died in the crusades. Now, Alys must quickly figure out how she will protect and secure her family’s future. She could get married herself, but it will be difficult to find a single noble that meets her exacting standards. What about her children?
Her son Merek is a squire, so he may be able to secure the family’s future when he becomes a knight. However, given that he prefers to spend his time lazing around than actually doing any work, that seems unlikely. Her daughter Millicent is nearly at an age where she can marry. Unfortunately, she lacks the elegance and decorum needed to be an eligible lady of the court. Could her youngest Carac be the answer? As the youngest, there is still time to mould him. On the other hand, his temperament as a toddler is not particularly promising…
The Knight and his Castle
Sir Baldwin and Lady Margaret have an unhappy marriage. He wants power and status. Unsatisfied with being a knight, he wants the glory of becoming a Lord. He is so focused on his own desires that those of his wife go largely unnoticed. All she wants is a family and an attentive husband. Currently she has neither, and this has left her miserable.
Berta and Ranulf are two of the best fighters in England. And they have seen more than their fair share of battle.
However, all that fighting has taken a toll on their personal lives. They’ve had over seven children, but none survived past infancy.
Imagine their joy when their daughter, Gundred, survives. Ranulf and Berta know how dangerous the outside world can be and will do anything to protect their daughter.
They teach her everything they know about how to fight. But they also keep her locked inside their crumbling castle, often leaving her alone for months as they go off to war. But Ranulf and Berta are now nearly elders and Gundred is a young adult. She needs to leave the castle and find her own way. But how can she do that when the walls of this castle are all she has ever known?
The Taylors and their Townhouse
Aubrey and Ada Taylor are successful tailors because of their attention to detail and business acumen. Their daughter Felicia loves the wealthy business life and cannot wait to follow in her parents footsteps. Their older son, Odo, would much rather spend the money enjoying himself. He can usually be found in the tavern or wandering the market flirting with every sim in sight.
The Foremans and their cottage
Their tiny cottage sits in the shadows of the magnificent castles nearby. Inside is an equally sad circumstance: Beatrice Foreman was orphaned by the plague and went to live with her Uncle. He is a cruel and lazy man, left bitter by the death of his wife after the birth to their twins. He leaves Beatrice to cook, clean, care for the children and manage the farm and sheep. Knowing nothing else, Beatrice has accepted her lot in life. But could things ever change?
The Woods and their farmhouse
William Wood is a fourth generation peasant farmer who is very close to his son, Adam. He is hopeful of Adam taking over the farm one day.
That was until Adam fell in love with Herlewin. Herlewin has zero interest in farming and has enjoyed showing Adam how to unwind and have fun.
Lord Aldred and Lady Avelina have greatly enjoyed their lives of privelege and wealth. But now they are elders and they need to start thinking about who will take over the title of the Lord of Godfrey when they die.
Their daughter, Lady Malota, seems an obvious choice: intelligent, witty, charismatic. However, the laws dictate that the heir must be a male sim.
This is a nightmare for the eldest son, Lord Leofwin. He just wants to spend his time alone with his books and his thoughts.
Could either of the next youngest sons, Lord Oliva and Lord Luke, prove worthy heirs?
The Carpenter and his cottage
James Carpenter is young but has already had a painful, difficult life. As a lowly serf he has known plenty of hardship; but then, the plague took his wife and their four children.
James now lives alone in his small cottage, only leaving to work as a carpenter in the town market. Will things ever improve for him or is this it?
This era fills the entire of Windenburg so it is the biggest one by a LONG way.
The Vet
It includes an apartment for the vet and a dog training ground in the back.
The Inglebys and their cottage
Joan and George Ingleby own the local vet. When they aren’t caring for animals at work, they’re playing with their three cats and three dogs.
The Elderberrys and their farmhouse
When Ekram and Eleanore’s daughter and son-in-law died in a smallpox outbreak, they were distraught. Still, their only grandson, Rohan, needed someone to care for and so he moved in with them.
Years later, Rohan is now on the cusp of young adulthood. A studious, intelligent young man, he has no interest in the simple, farming life his grandparents lead.
All Ekram and Eleanore want is for Rohan to stay with them and take over the farm. But he has bigger dreams…
I made some more wild forests. This time they are all styled after Windenburg in the hopes that they blend seamlessly with the surroundings. They come in 20x20 and 64x64 sizes.
The Lee Family and their cottage
Thomas and Katherine Lee have been happily married for decades.
Their daughter, Daisy, longs for a love like her parents, but whenever she has to talk to a man she suddenly finds herself… tongue-tied. Instead, she’s made her peace with a life spent running the family flower business. At least flowers don’t talk…
The Spellcasters and their cottage
As spellcasters in the Tudor era, Grace and Tomax have it tough. The locals think they’re evil and untrustworthy. They face threat and danger everywhere they go.
At least they have each other through all of this. As best friends, they’ve hidden themselves away in a cottage in the woods and spend most of their time in the magic realm. In particular, they spend their time honing their skills and preparing to defend themselves in case the worst happens…
Today will cover just one lot and household - but it's a big one. I turned one of the Windenburg 64x64 lots into a full village with houses, a pub, a church and a village shop. I then made an eight sim household of the villagers, each with their own backstories.
The Village
The Suttons
Petronilla and Sindony are sisters who have run the family pub since their parents died. Sindony, the more confident of the pair, runs front of house while Petronilla takes care of cooking and clean-up.
Reverend Verney
Reverend Verney is a follower of the Church of England and has been since it was created by the King. His life’s work is to care for the church and the local people in the village.
The Talbots
Wilmot Talbot (what were her parents thinking) started off with a pretty easy life: she married a successful craftsman, moved to a nice house in a quiet village and had a son.
But war and disease have had their impact: she lost her son and her husband. She is now the sole caretaker of her teenage grandson and works long hours as a washer woman and cleaner to make ends meet. So imagine her frustration when she returns after a hard day of work to see her lazy grandson, Griffin, napping and leaving the house in a mess. Griffin and his grandmother spend so much time fighting that they fail to see how each other are grieving and just trying to cope with the changes to their lives…
The Rodgers
Their home is the smallest considering the number of sims, but it is also the happiest. Nicholas and Anne Rogers run the local shop, providing nearly everything and anything the villagers could need. They are inseparable from each other and their son, William. There is no denying, however, that the arrival of their son has made them realise the need for a bigger home. But how are they going to make the money?
Another rather large lot I made was this Tudor palace:
I also knew that mods could allow players to have more than 8 sims in a household, so I had an idea - make THREE households for this lot. Players who then use those mods can then have an epic Tudor royalty household.
The Royals
King Henry wanted a life of adventure, experiences and travel. Instead, he followed his duty and took over the throne. He stays in his palace and follows the royal protocols like he should. He married a wealthy, noble lady - like he was supposed to. She isn’t particularly attractive and they don’t have much in common but, y’know… he had to marry someone.
He now has four children. They aren’t particularly good-looking and they are all vapid, superficial narcissists, but… y’know… three of them are boys so the line to the throne is secure.
This family seems to have it all and yet life is so… meh. Can anything change to bring some life and excitement back into it?
The Royal Guards
The Royal Guards live and guard the royal palace. Their lives are pretty routine with little freedom.
But they’ve built close bonds with each other and feel almost like a family. Certainly a closer, happier family than the monarchs themselves…
The Royal Servants
Nanny, Jester, Cook, Musician, Tutor, Gardener, Maid… it takes a lot of sims to keep a palace running!
The 16th century saw huge advances in science. Izzy Fabulous is a scientist and is desperate to make his first discovery. He works night and day but is struggling to make a breakthrough. Will he get his moment of scientific glory?
Theatre
In the style of Shakespeare's Globe - it had to be done!
The King's Players and their Townhouse
The King’s Players acting troupe perform the plays of William Shakespeare five times a week. They’re incredibly popular with hundreds coming to watch them perform.
And, yes, they are also all sleeping with each other…
The Heckings and their Manor
Brent and Brant Hecking are Tudor Lords, raising their two sons and dog in their beautiful manor.
Their eldest son, Robert, has recently become a teen. Desperate for independence, Robert is feeling suffocated in a childhood home and a relationship with his fathers that hasn’t grown up with him…
In the centre of town is the local church. Led by the inscrutable Bishop Straud. he seems like a typical man of the church, but people can’t help but get a weird feeling about him… for starters, he is never seen outside of the church walls. Second of all, he lives in the church tower. Only thing is, no one has any idea how he gets up there…
The Explorers and their Townhouses
Emma Howard and Sarah Smith are best friends that travel the world together in search of new lands and opportunities. When they find that land, however, their goals are very different - while Emma hopes to find new treasures to collect, Sarah hopes to colonise and become the leader of her very own queendom…
The Knight, the Lady & their Manor
This couple don't have a backstory because I was playing a game of 'can you spot who they are?' and I didn't want to say anything that would give them away!
We've finally reached the last part! As well as Windenburg, the Tudor era covers Stangerville which represents North America. All of these households and lots are therefore representing the Native American tribes of Virginia plus the early colonists.
As I explain way back in the introduction to this challenge, it does NOT deal with colonisation with any kind of historical accuracy. To me, representing the genocide of Native Americans or enslavement of African people within the Sims would be crass beyond words. I thoroughly dislike what comes up when you search 'slaves' in the Sims 4 gallery.
However, I also want to be very explicit about my country's role in some of the worst atrocities to be committed in history. I encourage you to learn more about it via books such as 'Black and British by David Olusoga', 'Inglorious Empire by Shashi Tharoor' and 'Insurgent Empire by Priyamavada Gopal'. There is plenty more out there, but those are three that I have read and particularly recommend.
Back to Sims.
As I did not need to be historically accurate here, I chose to imagine an alternative history: One in which British people travelled to America to start new lives - and respectfully lived alongside Native Americans.
The Algonquins and their village
Achak lives with his two children and many grandchildren. His family are everything to him and they are incredibly close knit.
Despite always being around her family, Achak’s daughter, Chepi, has struggled with loneliness since her husband died. She recently met one of the new Jamestown settlers… could this be her second chance at love?
The Powhatans and their village
Aponi and Powhatan live a happy life together, raising their four children: Shawnee, Koko, Ahanu and Odina.
Powhatan’s aunt, Cheyenne, also lives in their village. She is most definitely not happy. Unmarried and childless, Cheyenne is far happier being alone in nature and the peace and quiet rather than being surrounded by the screaming and laughing of children.
On one of her daily walks in the forest, she met one of the new Jamestown settlers. She is starting to appreciate how much more enjoyable peace and quiet can be in the arms of someone else. Will she accept that she’s falling in love or push Ulrike away just as she has everyone else?
Early Colonists and Jamestown
This household is entirely made up of pre-made townies - can you spot who is who?
I am impressed. I have not looked at all of your entries yet and def. plan to revisit this thread. Thank you for sharing your fantastic work! I love all the details and character backgrounds you've developed. And your buildings look gorgeous!

All versions of the challenge can be downloaded here (No Ads - OneDrive)
Happy simming!
Thank you all
I now stream the Sims 4 on Twitch!
My Discord Server - A place to discuss my challenges, or the Sims in general
Tomorrow, Roman Britain!
A temple for the community to visit
The Roman Army and their military barracks
The Roman Baths
A Roman Restaurant
The Nero Family and their mansion
The Haigs and their magical cottage
The Guthrums and their Longhouse
The Rival Kingdom's Training Ground
A gym lot for the rival fighters to prepare in.
Tomorrow begins the Medieval era!
The Monks & their Monastery
The Wards and their castle
The Godfreys and their Castle
The Town market
The Town Pub
Tomorrow begins the Tudor era!
The Tudor Fort
The gym lot styled as a military training ground
Wild Forests
The Local Farm
A community garden lot
Yep, this era is still going...
Izzy and his laboratory
Desperate for independence, Robert is feeling suffocated in a childhood home and a relationship with his fathers that hasn’t grown up with him…
Bishop Straud and his church
The Final Windenburg household and their Manor
Same goes for this family - recognise them?
Today is all community lots!
The Docks
Coaching Inn
A Grammar School
Local Shops
My first attempt at using T.O.O.L mod!
Tomorrow begins the Stuart era!
