I have been playing the Not so Berry challenge and making different style houses for each generation as an additional challenge. I decided Grey would find an abandoned warehouse and renovate it as part of his challenge. I have really enjoyed building both versions of the warehouse and the old dirty warehouse was fun to modify and clean and change as part of play. The Abandoned warehouse is functional as a home - it has a bed, bathroom and functional kitchen (none of them nice though).
I made sure that the renovated warehouse contained some of the materials and furniture left in the abandoned warehouse (eg. the pallet coffee table and some of the wire partitions). Because Its not so Berry grey gen - the renovated warehouse has the top floor as a gym/basketball court to support their goals and the colour scheme is very grey/ pale blue.
Both builds are fully playtested, use no CC. I used bb.moveobjects but they seem to place without it.
Both versions of the Warehouse are great! @Becka28 The furnishing of the Abandoned Warehouse and the wall textures reflect the theme well! The papers and newspaper look great on the flooring!
The Converted Warehouse is very nice! The blue and white colors are lovely! Very nice furnishing and layout! The gym and basketball area is very nice.
Luxury Barbie Bedroom is a very sweet bedroom! @luckyheather The Barbie theme looks great! Very pretty pink and white color scheme of the room! The two corner dressing room areas are very nice! The pink and white lights look great placed on the outside glass walls! It looks very nice how you have used the Barbie wallart through the room! Thankyou very much for using my art!
I have posted about your room on your showcase thread
Winterfest Bedroom is a lovely festive bedroom! @xamira99 The festive themed items and wall decorations are great! The festive red wall panelling looks very elegant! The festive wreath, plants, string lights and garlands on the walls, door and on the window, the reindeer and nutcrackers on the drawers, mini white trees on the bedside tables, Christmas cards and mini glass case trees on the fireplace ledge and penguin on the top of the bookcase are very nice festive touches! Very nice windows stool seating for sims to enjoy sitting restfully there in the sunlight with the cute snowman and Christmas penguin on either sides!
I have posted more about your room on the challenge thread .
I decided I'm going back to my roots (small boxy builds) and stop making all these palaces. SO here's Noka Micro Starter!
Admittedly, I slept (quite literally) on Japanese architecture back in college lol. But I made a Japanese-style micro home anyway! It is a functional home and is exactly 32 tiles in area. It is made in the nouka (farmhouse with thatched roofs instead of tiles) style of minkas or Japanese traditional homes. And it has all the basics of Nihon kenchiku covered! I think
Here's the photo of the interior. Seriously, it's just this one room lol.
I have this thing for building as authentic as the game allows. This washitsu (tatami room) would actually have multiple uses (living room for day, bedroom at night) IRL. Japanese would have stowed away the kotatsu and then laid out a futon ito sleep. But considering the game's limitations, I made this into a permanent living/dining space and just built the also permanent bedroom in the loft above lol.
And there's the build lol! I'd have wanted to not place that sink there beside the genkan. IRL tiny living could have had a stowable meal prep surface (like one of those chopping board things that you put on top of the sink), but I'm not complaining.
Thanks! Hope you'll find some use for this and have an awesome day!
Noka Micro Starter is a lovely Japanese micro home! @orenjiAi The exterior design and thatched roofing is very nice! It is very nice that there is a hot springs for sims to relax in. Very nice wood walls, and the festive garlands, wreaths and white trees are very nice on Very lovely festive furnishing of the interior! The gnomes in the rooms are cute!

SO, today's build is actually a Challenge, My very 1st!! It is the 3-Pack Challenge. Rules are in the description and very simple. Like most, NOCC or changing the build itself for the exterior. You will design the interior, landscape, backyard & can use a different lot size. Exterior colors, doors &windows etc. CAN be changed. AND you can use ONLY (and up to) 3PACKS (if you use LESS that is fine!! and ANY 3 packs, that is YOUR CHOICE!) and as always Use MOO before placing using hashtags: #Theonlytara42 #FirstChallenge #3packchallenge as well as hashtags for any artworks used! Enjoy!! Happy Friday!!
A Summer Surfing Santa Christmas is Summer time on the other side of the World like Australia and it's too Hot to wear his Santa outfit but likes his Budgie smugglers he is One Happy Santa Ho! Ho! Ho! Gnomey Merry Christmas to everyone from the land Down Under
Magic Family Christmas Is a very beautiful family home that has been furnished in such a lovely way for Christmas @luckyheather ! The exterior design, balconies, string lights on edges is very lovely! The pink and white color scheme is so very pretty! Both the outside areas and the inside furnishings and design are very lovely! Very nice outdoors areas with the cauldron and the grill to enjoy cooking and dining outdoors. Very pretty inferior wall pattern! The Christmas decorating of the rooms is very lovely! Very nice marble and tiled flooring in the rooms. The decorations around the windows and the Christmas tree are pretty! Very nice basement cauldron room..
It is a very lovely and pretty family home for celebrating Christmas !
I wanted a place where my sims could have a romantic date in Granite Falls, so I built a restaurant by the lake. I wanted i to look like an old lodge that's been renovated and updated and have a deck overlooking the lake.
It's traditional/business in the front...
...and party in the back
The dining room
The view from the deck
And the reception area (apologies for the bad screenshot)
And some of the deck at nighttime for good measure
The whole thing was based on an older build of mine that I created when we first got terrain tools.
Note the floating lights and terrible use of terrain tools because I decided to "bury" a regular room instead of using a foundation + basement
