September is my favourite month and the beginning of October is enjoyable. It is definitely fall here. The leaves are falling and people are cleaning out the flower beds in preparation for winter. The only thing about October is that it may snow here. Usually we don't have snow on Halloween. However, I remember trick or treating in knee deep snow. While we do get snow here, it is never as much as in Sims 3 Seasons. My poor sims.

I'm another lurker popping in to say hi, and thanks for keeping up this thread and its resources. Actually, I'm not sure "lurker" is the right term for me: I haven't been on this forum much lately, but I'm still tracking the Daily Deal sales and cleaning up my list of stuff I definitely don't need but totally still want.
On that note, @ZeeGee was very generous a while back and offered to gift me some items I might be looking at. With a strategic application of her points, we managed to bring five different sets to the point where they'd either be entirely free or only cost a trivial amount. I've bought three of them so far and am waiting for the DD sales for the last two.
I thanked ZeeGee in private back then but wanted to do it again, since she was so sweet to offer me her surplus points.
It's funny, I've been buying stuff here and there for about two years now but have never been particularly nervous about missing a sale, that is until the Full Regal Living set a couple weeks ago. When I completed that set, I could then complete two others, and two others after that (including one that ZeeGee made possible), in a nice little chain reaction that cost a total of 40 points for the five sets. There's a sixth set on the DD that's now almost free as well, but it won't show up for a bit.
It would have been quite disappointing to have to wait another almost three months for that whole chain. And it only took me managing to wake up at 3:30 am or whatever it was on a Sunday morning. I went right back to sleep afterwards too, so no harm done.
Hello to all the fellow "simificated" people out there!
Reading all of this, I am so glad that I am not the only person waking up in the middle of the night in order to get a Daily Deal! :D I have been playing this game (including Sims 1 and 2) for at least 15 years - still listening to the Sims 1 soundtrack while studying - and bought Sims 3 in April 2020; up to then, I still had been playing Sims 2. Since I found out about the store itself and the Daily Deal a couple of days later (it was surprising to me that both are still active), I checked every few hours about the deals, feeling kind of like the last (wo)man standing aaand kind of crazy and addicted. Then, three days ago, I discovered this thread (yeah, took me long enough) and it brought me so much comfort because hey, I'm not the only one ;) , and now I don't have to check the upcoming deals THAT often any more in order to complete my wish list. Even my sleeping was somehow timed after the deals before (yep, definitely crazy). I've already spent so many Simpoints (actually rather TOO many points but LALALA, not listening!!!) for "my list of stuff I definitely don't need but totally still want" (puzzlezaddict, I can so much relate to that :) ). In short: THANKS A LOT to all the people out there spending their time and energy in keeping up this list! I definitely appreciate it very much, too.

On that note, @ZeeGee was very generous a while back and offered to gift me some items I might be looking at. With a strategic application of her points, we managed to bring five different sets to the point where they'd either be entirely free or only cost a trivial amount. I've bought three of them so far and am waiting for the DD sales for the last two.
I thanked ZeeGee in private back then but wanted to do it again, since she was so sweet to offer me her surplus points.
It's funny, I've been buying stuff here and there for about two years now but have never been particularly nervous about missing a sale, that is until the Full Regal Living set a couple weeks ago. When I completed that set, I could then complete two others, and two others after that (including one that ZeeGee made possible), in a nice little chain reaction that cost a total of 40 points for the five sets. There's a sixth set on the DD that's now almost free as well, but it won't show up for a bit.
It would have been quite disappointing to have to wait another almost three months for that whole chain. And it only took me managing to wake up at 3:30 am or whatever it was on a Sunday morning. I went right back to sleep afterwards too, so no harm done.
Reading all of this, I am so glad that I am not the only person waking up in the middle of the night in order to get a Daily Deal! :D
I have been playing this game (including Sims 1 and 2) for at least 15 years - still listening to the Sims 1 soundtrack while studying - and bought Sims 3 in April 2020; up to then, I still had been playing Sims 2.
Since I found out about the store itself and the Daily Deal a couple of days later (it was surprising to me that both are still active), I checked every few hours about the deals, feeling kind of like the last (wo)man standing aaand kind of crazy and addicted. Then, three days ago, I discovered this thread (yeah, took me long enough) and it brought me so much comfort because hey, I'm not the only one ;) , and now I don't have to check the upcoming deals THAT often any more in order to complete my wish list. Even my sleeping was somehow timed after the deals before (yep, definitely crazy). I've already spent so many Simpoints (actually rather TOO many points but LALALA, not listening!!!) for "my list of stuff I definitely don't need but totally still want" (puzzlezaddict, I can so much relate to that :) ).
In short: THANKS A LOT to all the people out there spending their time and energy in keeping up this list! I definitely appreciate it very much, too.
