No pics yet but I remade Thomas Lowell and his girlfriend Diane as a married couple. Both want to have a baby already so I’m debating on letting that happen or to wait a bit(still in week 1)

Although I don't like it when my sims die of old age, it does give me a little relief when the pressure in the household is lessened a little. When my elders' life bars are full I am ever vigilant of their actions and the other family members are left with little supervision. Paul is still going and, as of my last session, has now lived double the minimum days allocated to elders. When I next load my game his eldest son will be an elder and this will be a first in this save!
Started out on Sims 3 today, hadn't played in a long while (4 or 5ish years, I believe). Decided to start it out how most of my families end up, which is like a 50's American Dream theme. Hard working providing father, prim and proper housewife mother, adorable little baby, eventually ending up with both mother and father having affairs because of their lack of love for each other and the kid growing up to work in the Criminal career just to spite them for being horrible parents. Might throw in an affair with a Vamp or two since I rarely play with the Supernatural Sims. Maybe the kid will grow up to marry a Vamp and further annoy his parents
@NyxValkoinen Welcome back to TS3 I took over a two year break a while back and although my mind had trouble remembering what to do my fingers seemed to know immediately and I was back in the swing of things in no time at all
Sounds like an interesting family! Not something I could play because my sims all have unrealistically perfect relationships but TS3 is great in that it can be played however we wish.
Paul is still alive! He's lived more than double the allotted time for elders. My active sims, regardless of how athletic they are, generally never go beyond a couple of days over. His eldest son is now an elder and eldest grandson a young adult. I can see from the family tree that the grandson has just aged up and needs a birthday makeover.
Their outfits are kinda all over the place because I just attempted to have a destination party at a local pool(it didn't work) and forgot to change everyone's outfits, but this is my final household for the 1950s. You have the parents, Larry and Shirley, their oldest daughter, Connie( now a teenager), The twins: Linda and Stanley(the boy in the red sweater), and lastly the youngest, Paul( the boy in the swim trunks). They've been pretty fun so far and I really look forward to playing through Connie's teen years.
Paul was 20 days over (elder stage is 18 days) a full life bar when his time ran out I thought he had made it through another day but he didn't make it to midnight.
He went with dignity.
High free will coupled with an auto romance mod means I can't take my eyes of teens for a moment Jamie, heir, will have a long wait before he is YA and can get married!
Mona aged up to YA. Her boyfriend, River, aged up later in the day. He's the teen on the right.
River was moved into the household when he aged up. They are now engaged and ready to move out
My current household features only content from Island Paradise, some store content, and some gameplay-fixing mods. Right now I have a YA brother and sister sharing a house and both are married to a mermaid and merman. Two of the big ones, in fact. Salty Seaworth and Maya Ocean. I only have a photo of the sister kissing her new husband Salty and Maya off to the side waiting for her fiance (at the time the shot was taken) to get back from work as a Life Guard.
I'm planning on making both couples have children of their own just to see what the offspring look like when they grow up (including the possibility that the children might both be merpeople, which would be awesome).
@carlystur03 Good luck with getting mermaid children I don't have IP installed (although I own all EPs) so have never tried mermaids. I understand they are high maintenance which is one of the reasons I haven't installed it.
@Mikezumi Thanks! I don't think they're quite so bad when I don't have Seasons activated (since I'm currently using Origin). I mean, sure, the always having to mermaid swim everywhere isn't great but it's not that much more work for me to find a spot in the ocean and "Boat here" before doing whatever I want them to do.
Great posts everyone! Haven't been on the thread for a while and haven't had anything noteworthy to post at the moment but likes and awesomes were handed out. Should be having a new baby in the Jones/Langerak save next time I play them but will post that when s/he is a toddler.
