So this is more for improved gameplay and to lesson the very very annoying load screens.
I am completely aware that there will never be open world in Sims 4 but a big annoyance is when you are in your neighborhood and to visit the neighbors you have to load screen and then load screen again when you go home. It's very frustrating as it takes time and takes us out of gameplay, which is vital for a sim game.
So my suggestion is in neighborhoods, allow us to interact with our neighborhood without having to Load Screen. A mini world so to speak. Visit our neighbors or shop at another store after eating at a restaurant. To lessen excess stress on our PC/Laptops, I would limit this to only residential neighborhoods or also the small retail areas, or maybe only our closest 3 to 4 houses/shops? Its not open world but it should reduce some of the annoying Load Screens.
I'd like to see an update to the potty chair to be live draggable into a Sim's inventory. Would be very handy for travelling/going on vacation with toddlers.
I'd also love the Christmas tree that can be decorated and the Spooky Candy bowl to be live draggable into my Sim's inventories. I don't like that both objects have to be stored in the household inventory when the holidays are over.
Now now EA, don't be stinking up our lovely lavender bath with your shopping fart. - My TS4 mods - Gallery ID: 83bienchen
1.) Vehicles with Garages
2.) Selectable Babies with strollers
3.) Spiral Staircases
4.) Another World with Apartments, Houses and Community Lots
5.) Casino
6.) Police & Burglar NPC
7.) Colorwheel for CAS & Build Mode
Paintable ceilings, unnatural hair colors for Children and Toddlers, and a BodyShop-like add-on for recoloring CAS and Build/Buy items so that I don't have to keep manually updating Sims4Studio...
There's a GREAT need for different ceiling textures. Screenshots of builds only look good from certain angles until that blinding white ceiling block ruins the mood again. It's way overdue folks...
Some kind of Create a World add-on tool is also a feature I've been quietly longing for. I constantly used the Sims 3 CAW, and it never even passed its Beta stage. It doesn't need to be a free update per se. I'm happy to pay for more customization like that...
Active and NPC Sims especially Teens holding hands while walking like in Planet Coaster I think that's really cute. Also strollers for baby and tots while walking, jogging or taking a stroll.
Seasons: *Maybe be able to set up wardrobes by season for everyday, formal, and sleep so when seasons change my sim is not stuck in shorts until I get around to planning the wardrobe *Like in Sims 3, be able to adjust season length and determine if location only has one or two seasons.
In general: *add more trait options and realign what are traits versus lifestyle choices *add more sports that sims can play or even just the equipment to play with other sims (rugby, baseball, hockey, etc) *color wheel for objects and clothes *ability to adjust lifespan length for each stage manually, like in Sims 3 *ability to manipulate hair color for streaks or sections of hair that are in a different color rather than have them set by base hair color
I really want more archways.
A lot of the base game arches are either a square/rectangle, made for the short wall height, or they have all these kinda bulky and ugly looking keystones or weird bevel designs. The only rounded base archways are those "Mission" style ones, which obviously don't match well if you're not going for that style.
Cats and Dogs has two medium wall height, rounded archways, one being a two space, the other a three, which I love a lot because they're a great shape and size but the limited colors are a problem and I feel I overuse them given the small variety to choose from.
I've been thinking and looking at the total variety of doors from the various packs I own, free updates and base game ones and figured they desperately need more; a great idea and way to add more is to simply add the door frames as archways, allowing for a lot of styles to match with their respective doors.
Overhaul the curtains. It seems like the 90% of the windows are VHS and the 90% of the curtains/blinds are betamax. It'd be nice if there was an exact curtain match for every window.
Also weren't you able to open/close the curtains/blinds in Sims 3?
Why is there no stationary exercise bike?
Why is there no diving boards?
I'd like to see horses/stables.
Since we have a Realm of Magic, I'd like to see staffs, capes, and wizard's hat.
Definitely more magic/mystical related things, for instance:
A magic school or degree path A wizard/witch career with a split Good/Evil path (Dumbledore/Voldemort) More evil potential (dig up bones and reanimate them for a permanent skeleton butler) More evil potential pt 2 become a Lich (An immortal skeleton Wizard) More wands/staffs, wizard attire (hats, robes, capes?) Magic lot traits (Sacred Ground/Magic aura, Apprentice hangout, etc) The ability for familiars to be treated like pets (A little pet dragon flying about your home) The potential to be a wizard and vampire at the same time, along with an aspiration for becoming and maxing both out
A couple others that don't really fall under magic:
Grim Reaper career Superhero - Imagine an aspiration or job where you're Sim is obsessed with them, like the Vampire and Magic paths. Eventually you are able to find a meteorite and interacting with it bestows powers upon you. Skill line as such.
If you pick a shorter first name you can add a second name on same line. Example Mary Smith marries John Davis Her name becomes Mary Smith Davis.Mary Smith on first line and Davis on second line.
I would love it if they patched in a zodiac system as they did for Sims 3. But I want the system to be based more on TS2 where it influenced the Sim's personality and attractions and the like.
Also, I'd like a return of the skill challenges from TS3 as well as a similar way to track the accomplishments (i.e. the skill journal). Oh, and maybe a collection journal as well!
Oh, and a return of favorite food, color, and music options!
And lastly, I would love if Sims could have a middle name but I don't know how feasible that is or if it's even possible.
Fears based on traits and aspirations like in Sims 2. One major fear, which is the counterpart to an aspiration and minor fears to mirror personal circumstances and traits.
I would like to see a way to know what issue a sim is having with something like not being able to access something due to something else being in the way. The emote it but it doesnt say say "I cant get to the sink" or something similar.. Not in their emote bubbles, but rather something in the history log so that you can easily find and fix the issues. I had a baby that wasnt getting fed or anything because something was "blocking" anyone from attending to her. I finally figured out the problem but if there had been a log of what my sims problem was, it would have helped and not have wasted time trying to figure it out.

And if parent sims are nearby teen sims on a date, they should also be able to react. For example, if teen sims are making out, parent sims should react telling them to slow down. There could also be a trait for parents to be overprotective or all about free love in order to adjust their reactions to seeing teens engaged in romantic interactions.
Vehicles/garages - sim owned and NPC (I really miss the school buses)
Split levelled builds - pretty sure the devs said they would look into this around the time they released terrain manipulation
Paintable ceilings!!!
Improved babies - not a priority right now for me but I would love them to come eventually
Personality overhaul - favourites etc.
Window swatch update - like they did for the doors!
Improvement to CAS - UI changes such as a remove all assets feature, makeup opacity slider, copy/paste functions for categories etc.
- Prank calls and the ability to not own a cell-phone
- Burglars
- Menu options for neighborhood population ('only spawn sims from gallery', 'keep world populations in their home worlds' etc)
- Menu options for EP and GP features (disable magic outside the ROM, disable aliens, etc)
- Spiral staircases
- Paintable ceilings and ceiling decorations (! this one shouldn't be too hard to implement)
- UI for separate bed-frame and bedding coloring
- A 15 lot world without too many shell buildings (think Glimmerbrook but bigger)
- Bonehilda as a Halloween update (or she could ship with Happy Haunts GP)
- More swatches for columns
- Free alt-object placement on counters
Middle names. In Create A Sim mode your Sim can have a first and last name, but I really want middle names so you don't end up being called two names. I have a middle name myself, and a lot of people in my family too. So I hope our Sims can have the same.

Ok I hope that it is possible to change time, the hour passage over time. So put the clock slower.
*Please FIX THE DACHSHUND

Yes, and in CAS please add nice looking sims for those of us who are not good at creating.
Memories like in Sims 2
A fear emotion
Burglars
Attraction system
Sims should react to proposal, weddings, birth, death, break-ups, cheating etc.
